  7. ---------------------------------------------- What is best for you ----------------------------------------------------
  8.
  9. KEYS: [Hanging-men. Hang up the phone. Hang in there. Don't leave me hanging] + [Decision]
  10.
  11.
  12. (Message-beep, start the recording)
  13. (Use a slightly formal voice, with a bit of melancholy too. But not "sad". Think of someone who wants to give a good message but that it is still a bit nervous and hides it with formality)
  14.
  15. - Hello.
  16. - I am sure that you remember my voice.
  17. - To be honest, I wanted to talk with you.
  18. - But I quickly realized that it was way too early.
  19. - So, I decided to just leave you the message.
  20.
  21. (Sigh, preparing to talk)
  22.
  23. - I wanted to tell you a story.
  24. - It is about how I met the most... amazing and inspiring person, ever.
  25. - Someone with so many dreams.
  26.
  27. (From here, try sounding as someone reminiscing things in a good and satisfying way)
  28. - I met her/him at a cafeteria.
  29. - Before that, for me, she/he was just someone else.
  30. - I only knew a bit about her/him.
  31. - But that day, I had one of the best talks in my life.
  32.
  33. - While she/he was talking about all the things she/he wanted to do I felt like I never asked myself so many things in life.
  34. - I tried to understand her/him but it was so hard to follow.
  35. - Her/his mind was already in places that I did not even think about before.
  36. (Chuckle)
  37. - ... But that's how interesting people roll. Right?
  38. - And we sat there for what seemed like an eternity, speaking and wondering about so many things.
  39. - She/he was very idealistic, and you know, I think that it is such an underrated thing to be.
  40. - People try their best to make that kind of people to land their dreams and ideas but... why?
  41. - Why is that a thing?
  42. - I appreciate much more someone who dares to have a dream, instead of someone who would feel ashamed because of that.
  43.
  44. - Something I noticed was that this person's dreams and ideas were not only for herself/himself but, for everyone.
  45. - A change, almost like a revolution, but in a good and almost naive way.
  46. - And when I got inspired by this person's mind, I started to help her/him with this ... "big scheme".
  47. - Throwing silly but honest suggestions.
  48. (Giggle and happy tone)
  49. - We looked like two kids creating a world.
  50. - Two souls talking as one.
  51. - Every single idea, more ambitious than the previous one.
  52. - At times we laughed about how dreamy it all sounded... but we didn't treat it as a joke.
  53. - I didn't even notice when I turned into someone just like that person.
  54. - Idealistic, thoughtful, and sincere.
  55.
  56. - We had a little break from our soulful brainstorming.
  57. - We talked only a bit about ourselves. About our lives, experiences, failures, and successes.
  58. - That only confirmed how much of a great person I was talking with.
  59. - Someone who experienced pain and saw, somehow, an use to it.
  60. - Someone who was aware of other's pain, and wanted to help them to turn it into dreams.
  61. - Slowly, each shiny part of her/him, turned into a whole, right in front of my eyes.
  62. - And I smiled...
  63. - I smiled because I was in the presence of someone who would inspire me so much for the next months.
  64. - And even when not all of that person's story was revealed to me yet, I started to feel like I knew her/him so well.
  65.
  66. (Satisfied giggle)
  67.
  68. - We did not get to talk again.
  69. - But I was fine with that.
  70. - She/he gave me her/his number.
  71. - It seemed like the obvious thing to do.
  72. - After all, I was, now, part of her/huge scheme.
  73. - I didn't call her/him.
  74. - I was patiently waiting for our next meeting.
  75.
  76. (Change your voice, melancholic now)
  77.
  78. - But that did not happen.
  79. - It was a bit clear that... she/he was not doing so well.
  80. - Progressively, each day, I saw her/him avoiding contact with everyone.
  81. - So, I, as someone who only got to talk once with her/him, felt hesitant to go and ask what's was going on.
  82.
  83. - Heh, isn' it ironic?
  84. - We talked about how many things can be changed with a single kind gesture.
  85. - How easy it is to show care and offer help to someone.
  86. - Yet, there I was, only watching from away.
  87. - As that person's shine was slowly fading.
  88. - And I know that she/he felt similar.
  89. - And the worst part of feeling like that is, not only your own shine fades, but everything seems dark.
  90.
  91. (Getting more emotional)
  92.
  93. - I-I know about this because... before that talk.
  94. - I was like that.
  95. - The reason why I was having lunch alone.
  96. - Why I seemed too distant to everyone.
  97. - But then you appeared.
  98.
  99. (Yes, the change from third person to second person is intentional)
  100.
  101. (Sob, or at least a crack or something. The feelings should be conflictive in a positive way. As in, hard to find the words)
  102.
  103. - I felt your absence.
  104. - How can anyone not notice that you are not around?
  105. - That you are not studying/working anymore?
  106. - That is why I decided to call.
  107. - I am not proud that my first call to you, was one with concern.
  108. - I wanted it to be a cheerful one.
  109. - Ask about your day, maybe some more talking about these beautiful things we thought of.
  110. - ... Hang out, at least one more time.
  111. - Hang out...
  112. - This message might not change your mind.
  113. - But please, answer me. Even if it is a harsh response.
  114. - Don't leave me hanging.
  115. - Don't give up.
  116. - I cannot know the extension of your problem.
  117. - I do not know what it could even be about.
  118. - But please, do not give up.
  119.
  120. (Calming, just a bit)
  121.
  122. - I know that, it might be insensible of me.
  123. - Even a bit greedy.
  124. - But, I want you to do what is best for you.
  125. - Because, I was starting to feel like... what is best for you, will be the best for me.
  126.
  127. - I know that this is not like you sitting with me, at the cafeteria, back then.
  128. - But, my intentions, might be the same.
  129. - A call by someone unexpected is the same as having a deep talk with someone you never talked with before.
  130. - You are not alone.
  131. - Being alone is impossible when someone, somewhere, roots for you.
  132. - Things are not over yet.
  133. - There is so much more that I want to see in you.
  134. - And I am sure that even you have so many things about you that you have not seen yet.
  135. - Those things exist, trust me.
  136. - You might not see them now but they are there.
  137.
  138. (Calm and serene)
  139.
  140. - I know that I might have said many things that are but assumptions.
  141. - But, I believe that a message like this can touch anyone.
  142. - Even as a simple reminder.
  143. - And I know that I sound as if I knew you entirely.
  144. - I don't, I don't know so much about you.
  145. - But that is why I want to see you, one more time at least.
  146. - If you are there, please, do what you think will be better... for you.
