- When do ya think you can get that document over
- ReinforcedToday at 09:42
- I’m pretty short for time atm, it might be best if I go over it and just tell you
- very simple and small changes
- Shouldn’t take more than 30 mins tbh
- ScrumpyToday at 11:07
- mk
- ScrumpyToday at 17:22
- so uhhh
- ReinforcedToday at 17:22
- hi
- ScrumpyToday at 17:23
- When do ya think you can get that document over
- ReinforcedToday at 17:23
- I think
- instead of writing a document
- I'll just tell you
- its honestly just basic fixes
- so, all the main fixes that we discussed yesterday (like channel perms) need to be fixed
- also the message needs to be deleted after a developer is chosen to prevent more devs applying
- ScrumpyToday at 17:24
- So;
- - Dev Application Message Deletion
- - Channel Perms after closure
- that's all? for basic(edited)
- ReinforcedToday at 17:25
- Also
- Block any names from being sent
- ScrumpyToday at 17:25
- already done
- ReinforcedToday at 17:26
- Can you create a blacklist that I can edit in the future?
- ScrumpyToday at 17:26
- Of names?
- ReinforcedToday at 17:26
- I can edit in the code, you don’t need to make a command
- No
- Of words like “PayPal”
- ScrumpyToday at 17:26
- ah
- sure
- ReinforcedToday at 17:26
- And hm,
- I’m not sure if this is a lot of extra work
- But could you send the person a warning in DMs
- In a red embed warning them that they have used a blocked word and it’s against our tos
- I’d also like all the embeds to be coloured
- ScrumpyToday at 17:28
- Currently it sends a message saying "Your message contained a blacklisted phrase & so has not been sent , please do not try to bypass this, as you will be banned."(edited)
- ReinforcedToday at 17:29
- Remove the “as you will be banned” part
- And then it’s perfect
- ScrumpyToday at 17:29
- Done
- ReinforcedToday at 17:29
- I don’t want to threaten
- Also, I want people to be able to issue disputes
- ScrumpyToday at 17:30
- this is only the basic bot we are talking about atm
- ReinforcedToday at 17:30
- Yes, ik
- ScrumpyToday at 17:30
- we can talk about the full bot later
- ReinforcedToday at 17:30
- Disputes is nothing serious, very simple command that will ping ncplayz
- Perhaps just a dispute command
- ScrumpyToday at 17:31
- added.
- ReinforcedToday at 17:31
- Once that command is typed, it will send a message in afflux staff
- And ping the director role
- Actually Hm
- Ok this is the last thing-
- A dispute command
- Will start a prompt asking:
- - what is the issue?
- - confirm they cannot settle the dispute themselves
- And once those two prompts are answered, send a message to nc with the info
- And that should be all for the basic bot
- ScrumpyToday at 17:33
- can we leave that to the full bot as it wasn't originally stated.(edited)
- ReinforcedToday at 17:34
- I’ll give you an ultimatum:-
- 1. Do that prompt
- 2. Get $50 right now and I get the bot files after making a public announcement you will be paid $150 so that I can be held accountable if I do not pay
- ScrumpyToday at 17:36
- nah
- ReinforcedToday at 17:37
- Why
- ScrumpyToday at 17:37
- Simple: i don't want to risk any chance of not getting paid for my work
- ReinforcedToday at 17:37
- Well, your work is not worth $200
- So I’d pay you the amount for the work so far
- ScrumpyToday at 17:37
- i'm going per our original agreement
- ReinforcedToday at 17:38
- Hm, ok
- If you insist
- Well,
- I think we may have to discuss this a bit
- I’m realising it could be an issue but I’m willing to make some large sacrifices to ensure this goes smoothly
- ScrumpyToday at 17:40
- dude i just wanna get paid for my work lol
- ReinforcedToday at 17:40
- And you will be paid before any files are transferred but
- You must admit, this work is not worth $200
- And having files in the hands of someone else can be extremely problematic
- ScrumpyToday at 17:41
- actually it is lol- i've had clients offer up $200+ for this kinda system but dumbed down so uhhh
- ReinforcedToday at 17:41
- If you are not here during a major error, I am helpless
- Why have you agreed to do more work for $150?
- ScrumpyToday at 17:42
- wdym
- ReinforcedToday at 17:42
- If $200 is the standard, it’s not an issue and I will pay you for your work regardless of any issues
- But I was under the impression that you were doing $50 for the basic bot
- And then after I pay you the $50, we begin development of the main bot for $150+
- ScrumpyToday at 17:43
- Yes, that is also my impression
- however so far you have added on a lot of extra features from what we originally discussed as the basic bot
- ReinforcedToday at 17:44
- Well, correct me if I’m wrong
- I believe everything besides the original prompt system was NOT stated in the original order, correct?
- ScrumpyToday at 17:45
- this is hat you wanted for the bot https://i.imgur.com/PaByvmt.png
- and that has all been done
- so i'm kinda just waiting for the $50 as agreed as i am no longer working on the basic bot but am instead working on the advanced bot...
- ReinforcedToday at 17:47
- Don’t worry, you will get paid. I would be risking the future of my business if I scammed you
- I just want to see if it would be possible to revise a favourable deal where I get the bot files
- Even if that means paying more than the $50 upfront & giving you some bonuses
- I have nothing against you lol, it’s completely fine
- Just want to see if it would be possible to work something out because I’m realising that having the bot files would be useful to me if something happens and you are offline
- ScrumpyToday at 17:49
- Look- can you send me over the $50 now as well as $5 for the first month of hosting & i will get this version of the bot + the channel perms issue fixed, i kinda need to buy something for my brothers chistmas present & need this commission done fast
- ReinforcedToday at 17:49
- That is another thing, I’m not really interested in purchasing bot hosting
- It is a waste of money for my business when you consider I have my own vps
- Regardless of what happens, you will get $50 for your hard work
- ScrumpyToday at 17:51
- Our original agreement stated that; I will hold onto the files (and host them for a monthly fee) until all $200 of the commission has been paid & that $50 was to be sent over immediately after the features listed below are created. https://i.imgur.com/PaByvmt.png
- ReinforcedToday at 17:51
- But is it possible that I pay extra or something that would allow me access to at least the basic features of the bot
- ScrumpyToday at 17:51
- Nothing will go wrong, i assure you.
- ReinforcedToday at 17:52
- Well, it’s also paying the $5
- $5 is nothing for me, sure but
- I am trying my best to cut down as much as possible on expenses
- It’s just not something I am able to do. It also makes filing my invoices a longer process
- ScrumpyToday at 17:54
- Dude- i wanna get paid for my work, as you originally said i would.
- ReinforcedToday at 17:54
- yes
- and I have to pay you
- because I am now responsible for saying that
- But I'd really like to have the bot files & I must be honest
- I see no reason as to why you would not want to hand them over for a raised price
- it seems like you are just trying to trap me to ensure you receive the finale $150 worth of work and I do not go to another developer after getting the files
- you need $50 right now & I would pay you $150 later for a second bot update in the future --that was the plan
- ScrumpyToday at 17:57
- I'm not trying to trap you, i'm trying to ensure that our original deal is fulfilled.
- I don't see how this is a problem
- ReinforcedToday at 17:58
- I standby the original deal but I am simply asking if you would be willing to change it
- I think I'm offering very favourable deals by increasing the total over $200 and giving you more than $50 upfront for at least the basic bot system (not including all the extra features)
- ScrumpyToday at 17:59
- You're welcome to pay me more than $200, but as i said, i will not be sending the files over until the original $200 has been sent.
- I don't want to argue, i'm just stating our original deal & how i do not wish to change it.
- ReinforcedToday at 18:01
- we're not arguing, just negotiating
- hm, I'm going to need some time to think about this
- I am only going to pay for what has been done & and we can agree on a proper price
- you can keep the files but I think I'd like to suspend the 2nd bot update
- I'm aware that a few features have already been completed
- so we can negotiate a payment between $50 and $150 for the extra work you have done
- but I think it would be in my company's best interests to suspend the latter half of our agreement
- I see nothing wrong with change since no work has been done for the 2nd bot yet and I'm obviously not going to pay for something that has not been done yet
- is that fair?
- I appreciate the work you have done but I'm realising it might be best if I start paying a full team hourly to complete the bot instead of hiring an external contractor
- you've done a really good job and I'll pay whatever you believe is fair for the amount of work you have done so far
- But after a lot of consideration, I think I'll need to back out of arranging for a second part of the bot to be completed
- and I don't need the bot files haha
- tbh, if we come to the conclusion that the work you have done is worth the total $200
- I suppose that is fine
- Its nothing bad, of course
