  3. When do ya think you can get that document over
  4.
  5. ReinforcedToday at 09:42
  6. I’m pretty short for time atm, it might be best if I go over it and just tell you
  7. very simple and small changes
  8. Shouldn’t take more than 30 mins tbh
  9.
  10. ScrumpyToday at 11:07
  11. mk
  12.
  13. ScrumpyToday at 17:22
  14. so uhhh
  15.
  16. ReinforcedToday at 17:22
  17. hi
  18.
  19. ScrumpyToday at 17:23
  20. When do ya think you can get that document over
  21.
  22. ReinforcedToday at 17:23
  23. I think
  24. instead of writing a document
  25. I'll just tell you
  26. its honestly just basic fixes
  27. so, all the main fixes that we discussed yesterday (like channel perms) need to be fixed
  28. also the message needs to be deleted after a developer is chosen to prevent more devs applying
  29.
  30. ScrumpyToday at 17:24
  31. So;
  32. - Dev Application Message Deletion
  33. - Channel Perms after closure
  34.
  35. that's all? for basic(edited)
  36.
  37. ReinforcedToday at 17:25
  38. Also
  39. Block any names from being sent
  40.
  41. ScrumpyToday at 17:25
  42. already done
  43.
  44. ReinforcedToday at 17:26
  45. Can you create a blacklist that I can edit in the future?
  46.
  47. ScrumpyToday at 17:26
  48. Of names?
  49.
  50. ReinforcedToday at 17:26
  51. I can edit in the code, you don’t need to make a command
  52. No
  53. Of words like “PayPal”
  54.
  55. ScrumpyToday at 17:26
  56. ah
  57. sure
  58.
  59. ReinforcedToday at 17:26
  60. And hm,
  61. I’m not sure if this is a lot of extra work
  62. But could you send the person a warning in DMs
  63. In a red embed warning them that they have used a blocked word and it’s against our tos
  64. I’d also like all the embeds to be coloured
  65.
  66. ScrumpyToday at 17:28
  67. Currently it sends a message saying "Your message contained a blacklisted phrase & so has not been sent , please do not try to bypass this, as you will be banned."(edited)
  68.
  69. ReinforcedToday at 17:29
  70. Remove the “as you will be banned” part
  71. And then it’s perfect
  72.
  73. ScrumpyToday at 17:29
  74. Done
  75.
  76. ReinforcedToday at 17:29
  77. I don’t want to threaten
  78. Also, I want people to be able to issue disputes
  79.
  80. ScrumpyToday at 17:30
  81. this is only the basic bot we are talking about atm
  82.
  83. ReinforcedToday at 17:30
  84. Yes, ik
  85.
  86. ScrumpyToday at 17:30
  87. we can talk about the full bot later
  88.
  89. ReinforcedToday at 17:30
  90. Disputes is nothing serious, very simple command that will ping ncplayz
  91. Perhaps just a dispute command
  92.
  93. ScrumpyToday at 17:31
  94. added.
  95.
  96. ReinforcedToday at 17:31
  97. Once that command is typed, it will send a message in afflux staff
  98. And ping the director role
  99. Actually Hm
  100. Ok this is the last thing-
  101. A dispute command
  102. Will start a prompt asking:
  103. - what is the issue?
  104. - confirm they cannot settle the dispute themselves
  105. And once those two prompts are answered, send a message to nc with the info
  106. And that should be all for the basic bot
  107.
  108. ScrumpyToday at 17:33
  109. can we leave that to the full bot as it wasn't originally stated.(edited)
  110.
  111. ReinforcedToday at 17:34
  112. I’ll give you an ultimatum:-
  113. 1. Do that prompt
  114. 2. Get $50 right now and I get the bot files after making a public announcement you will be paid $150 so that I can be held accountable if I do not pay
  115.
  116. ScrumpyToday at 17:36
  117. nah
  118.
  119. ReinforcedToday at 17:37
  120. Why
  121.
  122. ScrumpyToday at 17:37
  123. Simple: i don't want to risk any chance of not getting paid for my work
  124.
  125. ReinforcedToday at 17:37
  126. Well, your work is not worth $200
  127. So I’d pay you the amount for the work so far
  128.
  129. ScrumpyToday at 17:37
  130. i'm going per our original agreement
  131.
  132. ReinforcedToday at 17:38
  133. Hm, ok
  134. If you insist
  135. Well,
  136. I think we may have to discuss this a bit
  137. I’m realising it could be an issue but I’m willing to make some large sacrifices to ensure this goes smoothly
  138.
  139. ScrumpyToday at 17:40
  140. dude i just wanna get paid for my work lol
  141.
  142. ReinforcedToday at 17:40
  143. And you will be paid before any files are transferred but
  144. You must admit, this work is not worth $200
  145. And having files in the hands of someone else can be extremely problematic
  146.
  147. ScrumpyToday at 17:41
  148. actually it is lol- i've had clients offer up $200+ for this kinda system but dumbed down so uhhh
  149.
  150. ReinforcedToday at 17:41
  151. If you are not here during a major error, I am helpless
  152. Why have you agreed to do more work for $150?
  153.
  154. ScrumpyToday at 17:42
  155. wdym
  156.
  157. ReinforcedToday at 17:42
  158. If $200 is the standard, it’s not an issue and I will pay you for your work regardless of any issues
  159. But I was under the impression that you were doing $50 for the basic bot
  160. And then after I pay you the $50, we begin development of the main bot for $150+
  161.
  162. ScrumpyToday at 17:43
  163. Yes, that is also my impression
  164. however so far you have added on a lot of extra features from what we originally discussed as the basic bot
  165.
  166. ReinforcedToday at 17:44
  167. Well, correct me if I’m wrong
  168. I believe everything besides the original prompt system was NOT stated in the original order, correct?
  169.
  170. ScrumpyToday at 17:45
  171. this is hat you wanted for the bot https://i.imgur.com/PaByvmt.png
  172.
  173. and that has all been done
  174. so i'm kinda just waiting for the $50 as agreed as i am no longer working on the basic bot but am instead working on the advanced bot...
  175.
  176. ReinforcedToday at 17:47
  177. Don’t worry, you will get paid. I would be risking the future of my business if I scammed you
  178. I just want to see if it would be possible to revise a favourable deal where I get the bot files
  179. Even if that means paying more than the $50 upfront & giving you some bonuses
  180. I have nothing against you lol, it’s completely fine
  181. Just want to see if it would be possible to work something out because I’m realising that having the bot files would be useful to me if something happens and you are offline
  182.
  183. ScrumpyToday at 17:49
  184. Look- can you send me over the $50 now as well as $5 for the first month of hosting & i will get this version of the bot + the channel perms issue fixed, i kinda need to buy something for my brothers chistmas present & need this commission done fast
  185.
  186. ReinforcedToday at 17:49
  187. That is another thing, I’m not really interested in purchasing bot hosting
  188. It is a waste of money for my business when you consider I have my own vps
  189. Regardless of what happens, you will get $50 for your hard work
  190.
  191. ScrumpyToday at 17:51
  192. Our original agreement stated that; I will hold onto the files (and host them for a monthly fee) until all $200 of the commission has been paid & that $50 was to be sent over immediately after the features listed below are created. https://i.imgur.com/PaByvmt.png
  193.
  194.
  195. ReinforcedToday at 17:51
  196. But is it possible that I pay extra or something that would allow me access to at least the basic features of the bot
  197.
  198. ScrumpyToday at 17:51
  199. Nothing will go wrong, i assure you.
  200.
  201. ReinforcedToday at 17:52
  202. Well, it’s also paying the $5
  203. $5 is nothing for me, sure but
  204. I am trying my best to cut down as much as possible on expenses
  205. It’s just not something I am able to do. It also makes filing my invoices a longer process
  206.
  207. ScrumpyToday at 17:54
  208. Dude- i wanna get paid for my work, as you originally said i would.
  209.
  210. ReinforcedToday at 17:54
  211. yes
  212. and I have to pay you
  213. because I am now responsible for saying that
  214. But I'd really like to have the bot files & I must be honest
  215. I see no reason as to why you would not want to hand them over for a raised price
  216. it seems like you are just trying to trap me to ensure you receive the finale $150 worth of work and I do not go to another developer after getting the files
  217. you need $50 right now & I would pay you $150 later for a second bot update in the future --that was the plan
  218.
  219. ScrumpyToday at 17:57
  220. I'm not trying to trap you, i'm trying to ensure that our original deal is fulfilled.
  221. I don't see how this is a problem
  222.
  223. ReinforcedToday at 17:58
  224. I standby the original deal but I am simply asking if you would be willing to change it
  225. I think I'm offering very favourable deals by increasing the total over $200 and giving you more than $50 upfront for at least the basic bot system (not including all the extra features)
  226.
  227. ScrumpyToday at 17:59
  228. You're welcome to pay me more than $200, but as i said, i will not be sending the files over until the original $200 has been sent.
  229. I don't want to argue, i'm just stating our original deal & how i do not wish to change it.
  230.
  231. ReinforcedToday at 18:01
  232. we're not arguing, just negotiating
  233. hm, I'm going to need some time to think about this
  234. I am only going to pay for what has been done & and we can agree on a proper price
  235. you can keep the files but I think I'd like to suspend the 2nd bot update
  236. I'm aware that a few features have already been completed
  237. so we can negotiate a payment between $50 and $150 for the extra work you have done
  238. but I think it would be in my company's best interests to suspend the latter half of our agreement
  239. I see nothing wrong with change since no work has been done for the 2nd bot yet and I'm obviously not going to pay for something that has not been done yet
  240. is that fair?
  241. I appreciate the work you have done but I'm realising it might be best if I start paying a full team hourly to complete the bot instead of hiring an external contractor
  242. you've done a really good job and I'll pay whatever you believe is fair for the amount of work you have done so far
  243. But after a lot of consideration, I think I'll need to back out of arranging for a second part of the bot to be completed
  244. and I don't need the bot files haha
  245. tbh, if we come to the conclusion that the work you have done is worth the total $200
  246. I suppose that is fine
  247. Its nothing bad, of course
