- I got the same case with the link sample above. How can I stop it? I ask my host support, and they still can't stop it.
- I ask the xyz domain registrant, and they said they can't shut down the site.
- I need advice on how to stop it.
- If they are using a script, you could block them the same way you block spam comments - with a CAPTCHA or a honeypot. For example, you could add a link to your site that a real human would never click, and automatically block any IP address that follows it (using fail2ban, for example).
- You could also add a "poison pill" to your site so that it breaks if it's served from the wrong IP address. Also, enforce SSL connections if you're not doing that already.
- It's impossible to completely prevent site cloning (technically or legally) except by password-protecting the whole site, but you can make life difficult for them.

- If the user agent they use is the same, you could block them using rewrite user agent checks. That would work until they changed the user agent at least.

- Would that not also catch search engine spiders?

- Most likely they are using proxy scripts. A solution is to setup full on javascript load of your page. Alternative is to ban by domain and IP. Both of these methods have huge drawbacks.
- You can message abuse of the host and say that the website is phishing for your users data. Phishing is fraud so it is handled fast and severe.
- If it is just a simple automated mirroring/proxy service than you can inject some Javascript code onto your website that checks the domain, and if the domain is not the intended one performs a redirect to your website.

- One of my sites has also been cloned by this thief. I am going to contact the affiliate networks, starting with JVZoo.
- If you look at the bottom of the affiliate pages, they have replaced the affiliate IDs with their own. This is their JVZoo Account info.
- "You have been referred by John Brown (#409655)."
- I would start by contacting JVZoo and warrior plus and show them what's happening. I will be doing the same.
- You can disable hot linking under your site and this will prevent other sites from accessing the static contents under your site.
- There is a high chance that the other websites are not actually copying the contents but they are framing your content using iframes. You'll need to deny this option if you're not using it under your site or else restrict the usage.
- You can also block the IP address of the sites which are actively mirroring the site, you can use the server firewall or use .htaccess to deny the IP.
- You can forward a DMCA complaint to the hosting company which is currently hosting the mirroring sites.
- This is for example:
- reviews1.xyz
- reviews2.xyz
- reviews3.xyz
- couponcode1.xyz
- couponcode2.xyz
- couponcode3.xyz
- All of those are hosted in the US, which make them subject to DMCA takedown. (And stuff like this is exactly what the DMCA is for)
- So - research how to properly compose a DMCA takedown notice (google it) and submit one to the two (three?) hosts involved. If they do not respond within a week, send a follow-up takedown with a reminder that the host loses their Safe Harbor provisions if they don't take action.
- If they persist then the last step is of course to file suit against them. There are technical things you can do that can inconvenience them or slow them down, but you can't actually stop someone from cloning your web site -- which means you have to force them to stop doing so via Other Means.
- "I've seen spam you people wouldn't believe. Routers on fire off the OCs of AGIS. I watched MXes burning in the dark near the Cyberpromo Gateway. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. TTL=0."
