Maxxx made a statement prior to this chat, voicing his opinion on a few server matters. When I highlight this to lin, he says I need to keep out of "this"

I follow up by saying i was just pointing that out, he goes on to say that nobody has an opinion on the discord. Very unprofessional and wrong as staff look for the communities opinion on matters to improve the playing experience

I then go to say then if that's the case, he can't have an opinion on what should be done about arguments/moderation. I say stop making a ruck and blaming others as prior in chat, Lin started the debate which Maxxx then stated his opinion on

Nico, a mod, says that everyone needs to put it to rest and then lin continues by saying he can handle it himself. He, himself, disobeyed a mods commands (as well as everyone else) yet only the people he believes are wrong get warned/muted. maxxx continues to point out what I just pointed out and then lin claims its a disruption in chat. I don't know about you but if that's called a disruption, everyone last night after this was all over should be warned. We were all having a normal conversation and we were hitting 150 messages + a minute. His classification of disruption is very bias towards others who have differing opinions that he wants to repress.

When maxxx says "but there is doubt", lin goes on to insult maxxx by calling him a cry baby. I also don't know about you but if a staff member said that in a serious, non joke way, I would be worried to why there were in such a position of power. Lin then continues to act like he was right all a long and tells everyone to drop it, trying to have the last word. I quickly responded by saying to stop insulting people

He then continues to say to stay out of it, when I tell him to stop insulting people. I follow up with stop it because he was defiantly going to continue and I didn't want him to start going off his head. He then warns me to stay out of it because he doesn't want me to voice my opinion or to tell him he can't insult people

I warn him one last time too as to stop insulting people or I'd contact someone about it (which I am doing now). This is when I sent you the first chat of him saying nobody has power over him. I then say stop acting irresponsibly as it is looking real unprofessional and then nico, once again says for everyone to put it down.

Lin once again tries to get the last word over nico by repeating what he said. I then agree too.

Oddly, he follows up again after he said to let it die with that if anyone else complains, he will be warning them. From my point of view, it looks like he is trying to get the last word again and is always in the right and the higher power. I then say the previous conversation will continue in higher hands (this means I would report the insults to an admin in the hope for a verbal warning to him). Oinkers then comments that he has noticed lin is in the centre of many of these discussions trying to round up people to warn and mute. Lin then is very cocky and gives a sarcastic sure. Nico then says once again to leave it here.

Lin then continues on the topic and points out that it's always himself, maxxx and I who are always getting into these discussions and trying to deliberately cause drama. Nico told everyone to drop it prior to this and for him to continue and say he will warn people if anyone questions what he is doing. He claims nobody has the power to question what he is doing and if they didn't drop the conversation that he continued on after nico told everyone several times to drop, he would warn people.

Oinkers then states the obious saying it looks like staff abuse. Before I continue I'd like to point out, lin is persistent in claiming he is staff yet his role is called "Discord Chat Manager", not "Discord Chat Staff". Oinkers is not saying anything about nico, as he is remaining professional and doing the right thing by not taking sides and telling everyone to stop. Oinkers then goes on to say it's a democracy which nico then goes on to say it really isn't as everything these days is decided by staff, not by public vote to which lin, again says to drop the conversation he keeps continuing or it will be a mute this time.

I then take that snip and then ask a different question about if it is against the rules to have an opinion. In no way is it related to lin creating a debate and then maxxx voicing his (apart from both mention opinions, it isn't about the prior conversation). Lin then says for everyone to stop, trying to get the last word in again instead of leaving off the threats and letting it die (like nico was trying to do)

Maxxx then goes on to say something unnecessary and that Lin is abusing his position. I then ask what I did wrong as I hadn't said anything for the past 2 and a bit minutes then point out a basic observation. At this point, I haven't been warned so when Lin says I am trying to argue a valid warning, he is trying to say he is going to warn me if I point out an observation from chat.

At thus point, lin claims we are calling him a power abuser when he did the right thing, but if you look up in chat, I have never said lin, you abused your power. What he claims was warranted could be debatable but according to him, it's against the rules to question a "staff" member. (Staff in quotations as he claims he is staff)

I then say what rule did I break if I had called him an abuser of his powers. He then says I caused a disarray in chat, as if I caused the very conversation to start. This is a false claim and therefore is not a warn-able offence as nothing was done wrong by me.

He is also saying I have been ignoring his requests, which is true however I don't see anyone threating him with a mute if he continues the conversation and continues threating. He seems to be under the impression he is the best of the best and nobody can touch him, something I don't think any person in a government should have as their values.

I then ask for clarification as there was a few chats inbetween reasons he gave. He then threatens to warn me. I don't know about you but it is defiantly not against the rules to ask for clarification over something he said. I then point out it's a question and a reasonable one to, it can't be against the rules. Lin then says if oinkers says one more thing in chat, he will mute him. In this case, oinkers then gets an admin pinged to sort this out and lin fails to continue through with his threat. He then goes on to say everyone else is belittling and harassing him for doing his job. This is him still continuing the discussion, 10 minutes after he says to stop and a mod tells everyone to stop.

I then say he is here to help the discord server and I asked a question, could it be answered.

To which lin then warns me for asking for clarification to something he said.No rule says against this and if the reason he claims is for continuing after he told me to stop, he should be warned for continue to sent highly controversial messages into chat after a mod told him to stop.

He then mutes oinkers for 15 minutes for a similar reason. He then continues to say that he refuses to give into my "games".

I point out it's a question, he says let the conversation die and it was already dead when I asked for clarification on what he said. I point this out and then ask for a question of clarification. He refuses for some reason.

I then ask why and say it is his job after all. He then says I will be muted if I continue asking a valid, offtopic question? Doesn't seem like a rule which can be broken. He then continues to act the victim by saying he is being harassed for doing his job. I say it is literally only a question.

I then ask who to ask as he is refusing to do his job. He then says admins. Maxxx also follows up with asking to prove how people were harassing him. He also says you can ask discord managers, which I was doing. Nico also says mods and then lin says that it's enough. He and nico were answering a question of mine and then he says that we are continuing the topic that finished 5 minutes ago.

He then says he is going to mute us all because he has said enough too many times. I broke no rule, and he and nico answered a simple question for me yet he claims that is a mute-able offence.

In the chat just above when I said can I ask a question, I said Nico. It was sent as two separate chats which I am asking nico if he can answer a question. Lin then goes on to say no on behalf of nico, even though he has no right to.

Ryan points out the same thing I just said and Lin claims his no you can't wasn't directed at anyone. Nico then accepts my request and I ask him on PM's.

A further chat he sent made me point out that a higher authority can always have the final say to which Lin accuses me of kicking up a fuss over what he originally said. Lin then tells maxxx not to antagonize him yet minutes earlier, he was doing the same to everyone in chat.

I then say just because someone is in a position of power, it doesn't give them the right to backchat, insult and be rude to other people then warn them for it. I say it not directed at anyone, instead as a general chat. Lin then says I was telling him how to do his job and he will mute me if I tell him again. I then act in defence by asking for evidence to support his claim and I explain how it wasn't directed at anyone. To respond to this, he tells me to stop saying general facts.

He says everyone is aware of the rules. Strange shows up and says enough to everyone, everyone says hi and then lin mutes me 2 minutes later and says I was told by a mod, a chat mod (I think he means discord manager) and an admin. If you literally look there, when he sent that message, he muted me. I was never warned by an admin as I didn't send a single thing back for over 2 minutes after strange appeared. I think his reasoning for warnings/mutes are very unprofessional and do not represent the severs values.
Something that closes this up nicely is a small statement I found matches this situation very well. It goes like so:
You have the burden of proof backwards when you insist other people need to prove you wrong. You made the claim, therefore you are responsible for providing evidence to support the claim. No one is obligated to discredit the claim or take it seriously until you have provided evidence.
It fits into this situation as for every claim Lin has made throughout the course of this report, he has failed to give any solid evidence to support such claims and threatens to warn people for creating incorrect statements and then refusing to prove they are true.
