Reasoning:  In the heat of combat, Bass found himself combating enemies that possess overwhelming strength! With his task to acquire capture an enemy dead or alive, the Namekian's pride as a warrior is placed on the line. Having little else that he considers his 'own', as a battle-bred warrior, failure - and one that is overwhelming is one that he can not stand. To lose in the heat of combat, and to keel over without giving it his all is inexcusable. His desire for victory, and to experience even more combat is what drives him!

What is the moment: Bass currently battles two Saiyaness warriors who boast far more combat prowess than he does! Even with his regenerative abilities, he's being pushed to the brink of fatigue, and with the rate of the current battle, he will certainly lose and be at the mercy of these Saiyans instead!
