  1. Cynthia was noted very early on to have great potential, having been diagnosed with Eidetic Memory from a young age. With such an ability her capabilities seemed endless, being able to at least memorize even if she doesn't quite understand all information she came across. Cynthia's mother placed high expectations on her to become a highly influential and wealthy figure, but Cynthia was never interested in school and constantly flaked from classes. Eventually she dropped out of High School and became a shut-in.
  2.
  3. Driven by the grief of Cynthia's failing to make something out of their life and almost certainly never planning to, her mother became depressed. Cynthia was aware of her mother's depression and knew she could do something about it, but constantly left things half-finished and never followed through. Cynthia knew full well that if she continued on the path she was on with doing nothing, her mother would commit suicide. Despite this, Cynthia failed to change and her mother ended her own life.
  4.
  5. Snapped awake by her mother's death and the reality of the situation, she was forced to actually return to school and become self-sufficient. She didn't do so because it's what her mother would've wanted but because she couldn't actually live on her own, especially now that her mother wasn't around to house and feed her anymore. Cynthia is tormented by feelings of guilt because she knows she doesn't actually care that her mother killed herself solely because of Cynthia, because she knows she /should/. At times, she curses her own memorizing capabilties, especially when she's able to vividly recall the moment she found her mother unresponsive, dead from an overdose.
  6.
  7. Eventually, she was invited out to a party by friends. Intending to decline, she was eventually pressured into going to a local nightclub to at least maintain a semblance of having a social life. She tried some drugs out and quickly found herself stumbling about trying to make sense of things. Drunk, high, and sick of herself, she eventually manages to find herself bumping into the bouncer guarding the VIP area. Trying to get past him, she mistakes him barring her entry with an attempt to corner her and she threatens him with the police, saying she'll remember his face forever and spilling out her memorizing ability.
  8.
  9. About to get kicked out for being a disturbance, Cynthia was in the middle of being escorted out when a voice called out from the VIP area to stop the bouncer. A bald man, covered in white makeup like some sort of clown's face paint, told the bouncer to bring her to his table. The bouncer did as he was told, offering Cynthia a seat who sloppily accepted it, sprawling her arms out on the table while trying to keep her head steady in her drug-induced stupor. Like that, the bald man prodded Cynthia and asked her questions, who was she, what was she doing here, and more.
  10.
  11. Eventually Cynthia explained her life story, the struggle with her memory and her mother, why she was in University, and why she hated herself. During the talk, Cynthia noticed more of the man's features. He wasn't just bald, he had no hair at all. No facial hair, no eyebrows, no body hair, nothing. His features were too long or too short, like his narrow, catlike eyes or ears that seemed pointier than normal. He had several piercings at every point of his body, his brow, his lips, his nose, even the bellybutton that was exposed in his unbuttoned coat. Then his makeup, it wasn't just his face, but even the rest of his body was painted in the white clownish bodypaint, except for his throat which was dyed a sheer scarlet red. Cynthia guessed he was just into body modification, maybe had a bit of surgery for the weirder bits.
  12.
  13. The bald man offered to let her try out a special type of drug, one that gave the ultimate high. Cynthia had mentioned that she was afraid of developing an addiction, she really liked the way she felt now. Her memories were swimming and she couldn't perfectly recall them like usual, this was the first time she couldn't really remember what just happened. Curious to see how it could get any better, she agreed anyway, she was far too out of it to think of the dangers involved.
  14.
  15. The bald man took her to a back room, where he revealed that he was the owner of the club. Taking it in stride, Cynthia asked where the drugs were. The man smiled, beckoning her closer and let her experience the Embrace.
  16.
  17. The man coddled and instructed Cynthia afterwards, explaining much of the world she was now a part of. He explained himself as Carinus of Andronicus, an 8th Generation vampire of the Tzimisce clan. He said he had very certain goals to use her for, them being the control of an entire hospital for the clan's benefit in the future, as well as more importantly acting as a witness and recorder of important events, for she will be able to maintain their memory better than anyone.
  18.
  19. Now that she's a vampire, she struggles daily to continue working her everyday life as a General Surgeon to maintain her living, even if her vampiric abilities would let her live much more easily for much less work. It's a sort of forced atonement to continue living the type of life her mother would have wanted her to have. Nonetheless she makes minor use of her vampiric abilities to influence her coworkers and superiors to allow her to have drastically lessened hours worked for the same pay she'd normally have as if she worked them.
  20.
  21. She finds it difficult to accept her undead nature and rarely socializes with other vampires and her clan, too busy hiding away in her home until the sight of the blood-covered operating room drives her to need to feed occasionally. She usually makes ends meet blood-wise by licking the blood off of her after operations albeit shamefully, drink out the blood bags, and in emergencies she'll head to a high-rise apartment complex she owns and have a quick meeting with a tenant to whom she disguises her need to feed with a quick round of sex.
  22.
  23. She enjoys a large degree of freedom and liberties due to her ability and Sire that have kept her safe for this long. One day however, her naive outlook and denial of her own nature will lead to repercussions, especially considering she's publicly known to refuse to accept the Sabbat's teachings of using humans as cattle.
  24.
  25. Secretly, she remains in touch with her childhood friend who dropped out and became a shut-in, like she was so long ago. She breaks the Masquerade in her presence, confiding in her about the struggles and sorrow of her existence as a vampire. The two are best friends, and Cynthia often goes out of her way to support her friend financially.

  50. Secretly, she remained in touch with her childhood friend who dropped out and became a shut-in, like she was so long ago. She broke the Masquerade in her presence, and confided in her about the struggles and sorrow of her existence as a vampire. The two were best friends, and Cynthia often went out of her way to support her friend financially.
  51.
  52. Unfortunately, she eventually snapped. It would happen eventually. She barely fed, refused to acknowledge what she was, and never looked for tutoring from her fellow Kindred, let alone their presence. She was fired from her job, her haggard appearance and lack of attendance proving to be significant obstacles. Without an income, she quickly began losing control of her life, having to sell the apartment complex, her home, and going to more and more desperate means to feed. Eventually, she resorted to her childhood friend, it was the easiest and most fulfilling meal she'd had in years. It was at this moment that Carinus moved in, having waited patiently for Cynthia to finally shed off the last scraps of her humanity.
  53.
  54. He revealed that there was still yet another path for her to take. She wouldn't need to feel any more guilt, any more pain, and more regret. If she allowed him to teach her, she would come to see that none of her actions were wrong, it was the whole world that was.
  55.
  56. Nowadays, she's recently completed the beginnings of her tutelage by Carinus. With the complete discarding of her humanity, she no longer has anything to lose. Gifted with this final form by her Sire, she's accepted his mission to discover what lies even further beyond - to use her eidetic memory to learn exactly what the next step in evolution for vampirekind is.
  57.
  58. She enjoys a large degree of freedom and liberties due to her ability and Sire that have kept her safe for this long. Officially she's sided with the Camarilla, having defected from the Sabbat, but pays the both of them no mind beyond obligatory lip service, in a smiliar fashion to her own master.
