  1. The cold winter air makes you shiver a bit, drops of snow falling down the camp as you down a warm mug of ale, thankful for any brief moment of respite from the biting cold. The surrounding lands have an odd type of black snow. All you need to know is it's been tainted by Denuvo, which means you wouldn't touch it even if you were paid in gold.
  2.
  3. Oddly enough, the Overseer isn't here today, to your slight disappointment. The old man usually had sagely advice, and was a damn good drinking buddy. Oh well... guess you'll have to bear with it today. Several other weary occupants of the Camp are stumbling around in the snow, their minds muddled with ale.
  4.
  5.
  6. Sighing deeply, you support your head with your arm and gingerly take small sips, enjoying the rest of your drink. The blazing fireplace brings even more comfort from the biting winds outside.
  7.
  8.
  9. This quaint tavern itself is quite cozy, the chatter of other patrons banishing the tense silence. It's peaceful times like these that remind you they could be vanquished in the blink of an eye, the crashing shadows of Denuvo sparing none as its plague sweeps across these blackened lands. That's why you Scout ahead, creating maps for the brave Three Legions that risk their precious lives. Truth be told, you have no idea if the copies of your maps even reach them, but you don't mind. Just the thought of helping them when they need it brings a sense of satisfaction. Hopefully, one day you can find out.
  10.
  11. Closing your eyes in thought, flashes of the ruined village resurface in the depths of your mind. You can't help but think... are these weary souls fodder for Denuvo? Their lives destined to be consumed by the Depths of Denuvo?
  12.
  13.
  14. Were the Three Legions simply fighting off the inevitable, their fight and sacrifices worth nothing?
  15.
  16.
  17. Pondering for a while, you quickly shake your head, warding off any further dark thoughts. The history of this world was built in sacrifice, sweat, tears, and blood. Tales of brave lives taken away too soon, so others may live on in blissful ignorance, conveniently ignoring the issues in front of them.
  18.
  19.
  20. It will continue to run that way, for generations to come.
