Why u proud

Well I definitely have greater claim to pride and identification than just any random grouping of humanity, but I would characterize it as gratitude and a wish to not ruin it by giving it away, and a concern for the unborn. Ultimately civilization requires a connection to those that have gone and have yet to come.

And let's be honest, I will be resented for the sins of my ancestors so there really is no reason to not identify with them. Pathologize that as pride if you want, but sources of strength and inspiration are healthy
