  1. THE FIFTH GATHERS: SCENE 8: THE BATTLE OF HOTH - PART 1
  2.
  3. The repels are lining up in preparation of the oncoming assault.
  4.
  5. GENERAL RIEEKAN: Other major target companies. Prepare a striking shield.
  6.
  7. Three rebel boats leave the planet. Cut to two Imperial officers, who are apparently mid-argument.
  8.
  9. LIEUTENANT CAPPEL: Because the rebels have approached their ships.
  10.
  11. CAPTAIN LENNOX: Well, I used on my first day.
  12.
  13. In the rebel base, Communications Officer Toryn Farr, (the only woman besides Leah to have any lines in this film,) expresses her disapproval of the Imperial medical plan before opening fire.
  14.
  15. OFFICER FARR: The long-awaited life-saving system. Bull.
  16.
  17. The cannon fire hits the target. The boats fly by safely.
  18.
  19. REBEL ANNOUNCER: There is no major transportation. There is no major transportation.
  20.
  21. (In the special edition, this line was actually delivered by the now-older Mark Hamill. The guy saying it was probably not actually meant to BE Luke though, since he is clearly seen on screen, running to his speeder.
  22. The line has been credited to the Goren/Serper/Navander/Whatever announcer, so that's what I'm sticking with.)
  23.
  24. Anyway, The Gospel of Luke climbs aboard his boat along with his co-pilot Dyke, (named as such due to his extraordinary trench-digging skills. Get your heads out of the gutter! He spent a long time making it!)
  25.
  26. DYKE: Teacher, is this a good feeling?
  27.
  28. THE GOSPEL OF LUKE: Just like the new foundation, Dyke. What about you?
  29.
  30. DYKE: Now I think I can do the whole Empire myself.
  31.
  32. THE GOSPEL OF LUKE: I have a clear will.
  33.
  34. (This is officially turning into a high-school soap opera.)
  35.
  36. Meanwhile, back at the battlefield - where people are actually fighting - Major Trey Callum has spotted the enemy.
  37.
  38. MAJOR CALLUM: Echo station 3-T8. I am now a royal pedestrian.
  39.
  40. GENERAL RIEEKAN: The Big Dipper.
  41.
  42. The attackers are now within shooting range. The boats take off to engage them.
  43.
  44. THE GOSPEL OF LUKE: Echo station 57, I am on the street.
  45.
  46. The boats fly past the trenches and towards the Imperials.
  47.
  48. THE GOSPEL OF LUKE: Ok, the child is currently holding tension.
  49.
  50. DYKE: Luke, we are close to the arrow. We are not constant.
  51.
  52. THE GOSPEL OF LUKE: Steady, ItaruKatsu. Offensive model Chen Hao. It is now out.
  53.
  54. The Gospel has now approached his target, and is ready to fire.
  55.
  56. THE GOSPEL OF LUKE: I am done.
  57.
  58. The shots have seemingly no effect. Gospel tries to contact one of his fellow pilots. He doesn't respond.
  59.
  60. THE GOSPEL OF LUKE: Not Hii, Kazukazu Kaigai?
  61.
  62. The boats keep shooting, but it does nothing to impede the Imperials progress.
  63.
  64. THE GOSPEL OF LUKE: This personal armored bomber is too powerful.
  65.
  66. Suddenly, he has an ide.
  67.
  68. THE GOSPEL OF LUKE: Thieves Group. Streaming the legs. The only viable mechanism.
  69.
  70. The boat sweeps down for another attcak.
  71.
  72. THE GOSPEL OF LUKE: long life.
  73.
  74. DYKE: Finally, I lost my firepower. I need help with the device.
  75.
  76. THE GOSPEL OF LUKE: Keep going away. Stick to, Tatsukatsu. Ready to shoot.
  77.
  78. The back of the boat is struck by a blaster shot. Dyke's lifeless body slumps down in his seat.
  79.
  80. THE GOSPEL OF LUKE: DAK? DAK?
  81.
  82. END OF SCENE 8.
