There are so many good HH/HB artists like this but this one feels like flew under the radar for many but maybe that's just me.

Makes me sad that Stella, probably of much higher royalty since she's married to Stolas. Absolutely envies their marriage and how happy those two may be a headcanon but one that probably hurts her every day.

Damn, never would have thought of that but I think you're absolutely right.
Probably why she becomes so agitated with Stolas. Right in front of her IS a HAPPY marriage that she was SUPPOSED to have as well.
Imagine: every time pretending in front of them that everything with Stolas is alright and swell. Excusing why he isn't here, why couldn't he spend time with you, etc.
And then during one unlucky tea party a naked imp flies out of his balcony (aka the pilot scene at 5:00). Fking try excusing that.
Poor Stella.

That's not a bad headcanon. Marriages among the nobility tend to be as much about forging alliances and growing in power as much as anything else, so to see her peers not only joining fortunes like they're "supposed" to but also being genuinely happy while she's shackled to an unfaithful peasant fker probably stings something fierce.

I'm sure they kept their mouths shut about the encounter but the reputation is already hit and Stella may or took a sanity hit after it and snapped. Something blew a nerve in her after that.

I'm only now starting to see Stolas in this new light. He's a sht gy-sx addicted husband. He should have handled this way earlier with her, but he still hasn't and now she is irate whenever they talk about it.
I will still say he's a good father though. Probably only stayed in the marriage because of Octavia.

I feel like he in a way thought he could do 1 of 2 things.

He probably wanted to tell Stella he didn't love her anymore. He probably genuinely cares about her in some ways. But he probably just got caught up and believed he could get away with it. For as powerful and scary as he is. He never once hurt her physically or raised his fists clenched at her. He knows he's wrong. And he at least is man enough. But he doesn't have the heart to tell Octavia. Stella being an amazing wife didn't rat him the fk out to Lucifer or other higher demons about his grimoire loaning and letting moronic Imps go topside without disguises. Or the fact Stolas has skipped his duties in favor of fucking Blitz. Stella has kept her mouth shut. She's simply going to have him killed. (Probably fail) then do it herself with an angelic revolver pointed at him. I honestly would redeem stolas only if he said "Shoot me... I deserve it." To her in that moment. I'm sure they can be salvaged but it will be big fking drama before they do

It not only somewhat redeems Stella (where the show means to make her a villain) but more impotently introduces some interesting complexity to this situation with more dynamics and nuance like this anon >>41121574 demonstrates.
