	jingi is probably the most annoying and spoiled person you'll ever meet. he makes sure that he's in spotlight at all times no matter what, often shoving other people aside or just doing outrageous things to be noticed. he has zero shame in anything, never afraid to go through with very intimate fanservice or just doing something embarrassing. he strongly believes the world revolves around him, getting very mad and annoyed when he isn't included in things or someone doesn't tell him something. inside and out, he's the world's largest two year-old who spends all day whining and crying to everyone over his make-up not being right or about someone cursing at him. his priorities are far from straight, putting his appearance and overall image before his health or any of the other members despite knowing that it isn't right. he is also always putting himself in other people's business, even if he doesn't know them at all. he lives for attention and drama, sometimes even panicking if he's out of the spotlight for too long. despite all this, he is surprisingly positive when thinking about the group's future, talking about how he's too big of a star to have the group disband. he is also very dumb, despite claimed to be the smartest in the group all the time. he, despite denying it, puts beauty before intelligence since it was the way he was raised.

	contrary to popular belief, jingi has a good side of some kind. he is actually pretty helpful when it comes to cleaning and taking care of the members, always making sure they wake up at the right time and get ready fast enough. he can be very trustworthy and give great advice when he wants to, holding onto secrets and managing to help when it comes to handling scandals or issues the members have. a small part of him puts himself in the spotlight because he knows a lot of the members have things to work out on their own, especially the leader, and doesn't want to have more attention directed to them so they can work out what they need to. he knows he's an asshole and often apologizes to the members for being the way he is but he refuses to change at all which makes him not very well liked, though he honestly couldn't care less.

	having been born into a family of models and actors, jingi had a pretty wonderful childhood. sure his parents were busy a lot of the time but he couldn't really complain. growing up, he wasn't raised to be smart like he was raised to just be pretty and pampered. he was homeschooled by tutors his parents hired instead of him being allowed to interact with kids his age so he was free from being asked about his famous family. he was only taught basic things, never even going up to algebra in math or over basic korean because it was 'useless' to his parents. he was still young so he didn't see problems with it and had no one to compare his knowledge to, hardly ever leaving home. from the moment he was born, he was going to be made to grow up to be some kind of famous in order to follow his parents footsteps. the thing he truly loved was performing, often making up simple songs and singing them for his tutors and trying to sing them to his family when they were around. both of his parents were happy he wanted to be an idol, taking him to meet with lots of idols, actors, and models in order to establish connects even at a very young age. at first he was happy, always smiling and getting excited when he met with the people he often saw on television singing all his favorite songs. as he got a little older, things got a lot worse for him.

	from day to night, he was forced to train with the best people in the industry and become a professional at only around 13 years old. he constantly was worked to the bone everyday, practicing dancing, rapping, and singing like various idols in order to prepare himself to be the most popular idol he could be. eventually, he was fed up with all the training settled to just be an actor, finding it much easier and less time-consuming. he appeared in a total of 4 drama from the time he was 15 to 16, dropping it because it didn't give him the same feeling singing did. he never tried out modeling or acting again but he also refused to go with his parents serious training regime, just practicing on his own by singing about random things and dancing to popular songs. he took matters into his own hands when he auditioned with mystic ( really only because his parents pushed him into going with SM ) when he was 18, showing off the skills he was taught when he was younger and sounding better than some professionals.

  during his time as a trainee and even before that, he was a bit of a playboy. having grown up being praised for his looks and talenr gave him the impression he could have anyone he wanted, that is until he met a certain someone. there was a trainee that was his equal in terms of talent and looks yet he was much more well liked. it upset jingi so bad that the two had a big, unspoken rivalry. they went hard against each other and yet the boy always smiled and treated jingi nicely afterwards. it was sickening. but also made his heart hurt. before either of them knew what happened, they'd ended up making out in the practice room alone really late at night. jingi had dates girls before and really liked them but nothing compared to the way he felt about one boy he claimed to hate. they kept their relationship a secret, or as close to one they could get given jingi's big mouth, until company staff caught them doing what they shouldn't have. it was a tough time for them both, extremely tough,  because they were in danger of being dropped by their company. jingi was ready and willing to leave with his boyfriend in tow but his parents intervened and ruined everything for him. they made it so the blame was all pushed onto the boy rather than jingi himself. his boyfriend was kicked out of the company and jingi was pissed. he held his tongue through the rest of his training, he held his tongue through his debut but one day, during an interview, he was done holding his tongue. he'd previously looked into his sexuality for this moment in particular. he spilled about his boyfriend and his previous girlfriends like it was no big deal. he felt he owned that to him for being the reason he couldn't achieve his dream. he would always say he loved both sexes regardless of the members telling him to chill out, regardless of the company. he was in love, even if only for a short time, and he saw no reason to hide it. maybe he was a little sorry for hurting the groups popularity but ultimately, he, truly, didn't give a fuck.
