  31. <Greene>: "I am. You're looking Gorgeous as always"
  32. <Jitterbug>: Same to you, I like the shirt
  33. Greene is wearing a rather nice formal shirt and setup, his scarf loosely wrapped around his shoulders
  34. <Jitterbug>: Think we can drive?
  35. <Greene>: "Of course. I won't force you to fly us"
  36. Greene heads for the car that has seen some improvements over the years. The good old Greene Machine.
  37. <Jitterbug>: Thanks, you got the keys?
  38. Jitterbug hops into the front of the Greene machine

  41. <Jitterbug>: Maybe we can go check out that theatre! heard they are doing classic cartoon marathons for free!
  42. <Jitterbug>: Go check it out, grab a flick or two, it'll be fun!
  43. <Greene>: "Sounds like a plan, Bells"

  49. <Greene>: "Weeeeeeee're here"
  50. <Jitterbug>: Wooo!
  51. <Jitterbug>: Race ya inside!
  52. Jitterbug hops out, and begins to run inside
  53. Greene slides over the top of the car and runs in
  54. Jitterbug: Oh man, I can't believe it! They got superman!
  55. Jitterbug: I love this stuff!
  56. Jitterbug smiles at Greene, and tugs at his arm
  57. Greene sits back and watches contently
  58. Jitterbug: Huh....A bit short...
  59. Greene: They have a few of them, though
  60. Jitterbug: Sweet! Bizarro supes!
  61. Jitterbug: You liking these so far?
  62. Greene: Of course
  63. Jitterbug: You know, this cartoon inspired Superman's flying?
  64. Greene: I remember hearing something about that, but I've never seen this before
  65. Jitterbug: Yeah, they couldn't animate him jumping around without it being awkward, so they just said, screw it, let's make him fly
  66. Greene: You'd be amazed what laziness can accomplish
  67. Jitterbug: Yeah, but, still, this looks great!
  68. Greene: I wonder if any of these old generic villains ever show up again.
  69. Greene: Like, in the actual comics and such.
  70. Jitterbug: Hmmm
  71. Jitterbug: I don't think, wracking the old brain vault came up with nothing
  72. Greene: It would be interesting of a bunch of old villains like that showed up again
  73. Jitterbug: Yeah, nah, Ultra-Humanite was the first recurring villain in comics, and he came out a year after this Jitterbug: It would though
  74. Jitterbug: He could always punch lightning again!
  75. Greene: but what about the vulture
  76. Jitterbug: Vultures can fly...
  77. Greene: the vulture got off scott free
  78. Jitterbug: It's an animal Rob, what kind of court would convict it?
  79. Greene: I don't know, I've seen some things Bella
  80. Jitterbug: Maybe you could bring it to...a Kangaroo court
  81. Jitterbug stifles a laugh
  82. Jitterbug: Ready to head out?
  83. Greene smirks
  84. Greene: Sure
  85. Jitterbug picks up greene, and pops him on his back
  86. Jitterbug: Don't worry Lois, I got you!
  87. Greene is carried off
  88. Jitterbug runs out, making wooshing noises, and giggling
  89. Jitterbug hops outside, and sets Greene down
  90. <Greene>: "No ride to the car? Fiiiiine"
  91. <Jitterbug>: Ugh, gonna make your preeeeegnant wife carry you all the way there? My legs are so weaaaaaaak

  99. <Jitterbug>: Where to next?
  100. Greene heads into the drivers seat
  101. <Greene>: "...I haven't the slightest clue!" he says happily
  102. <Jitterbug>: Come on, anyplace, you choose!
  103. Jitterbug gets close to his ear
  104. <Jitterbug>: I might even lift the alcohol ban for ya
  105. Greene rubs his chin, thinking
  106. <Jitterbug>: Just, if I do, please, moderation, alright?
  107. <Jitterbug>: I don't want you to be like my dad...
  108. <Greene>: "Don't worry, I'll keep it contained. We're just having fun today"
  109. <Greene>: "You should probably keep things steady, you've got another in there with you" he lightly pats her belly
  110. <Jitterbug>: I ain't drinking, I don't even understand how this bun is gonna come out anyways!
  111. Jitterbug holds Greene's hand there
  112. <Jitterbug>: So, where to then?
  113. <Greene>: "Been so long, I can barely remember. Are you thinking of a bar or something else?"
  114. <Jitterbug>: Sounds good to me, buddy, but, if you do drink, I'm driving, alright?
  115. <Greene>: "Alright alright"
  116. Greene begins driving off to the local drinky joint
  117. <Jitterbug>: They eventually come to a Bar in the downtown area, the all too familiar Brass Monkey. Jitterbug looks with a bit of worry
  118. Greene steps out of the car
  119. Jitterbug steps out, and closes the door behind her, resting on the car
  120. <Jitterbug>: You had to pick this one, eh?
  121. <Greene>: "It'll just be quick, you can get some food and I'll get a bit of a buzz"
  122. <Greene>: "Nothin can go wrong"
  123. Greene smiles and takes Jitters by the hand, heading to the bar
  124. <Jitterbug>: I hope so...
  125. Greene opens the door and enters
  126. Jitterbug is playfully dragged inside. There, they see the smoke filled ceiling, coming from the many bar patrons lining the row. The clack of pool balls can be heard in the back corner. A small chinese woman tends to the bar, as pictures of banned bar patrons are shown behind her. Greene notices Jitterbug is one of them
  127. <Greene>: "....When did you come here before?"
  128. <Jitterbug>: Stuff....and things. I investiagted some stuff with James, back when the whole Seal ordeal happened
  129. <Greene>: "....Should we go then?"
  130. <Jitterbug>: No, no, you order your things, I'll wait by the outer tables, alright?
  131. Jitterbug pecks Greene on the cheek
  132. <Jitterbug>: Be brave, alright?
  133. <Greene>: "Alright. Anything you want?"
  134. <Jitterbug>: Coke, fries, wings, and some onion dip?
  135. <Greene>: "Right, I'll be right back" he smiles and then heads to the counter
  136. Jitterbug heads to the back table, and sits down
  137. Greene approaches the counter
  138. BarOwner cleans off a glass, and puts it on the counter
  139. <BarOwner>: What dya want?
  140. <Greene>: "Order of wings with onion dip and fries, some coke, and the most expensive drink on the menu. Present to myself"
  141. <BarOwner>: I can get ya Guiness, and sprinkle some gold flakes in it.
  142. <BarOwner>: Or you want behind the counter stuff?
  143. <Greene>: "What's the options for those?"
  144. BarOwner reaches down, and pops out a bottle. Inside, seems to be an eel, made of sponge, with fishing wire tied to it's neck. The alcohol looks brown, and olden
  145. BarOwner pops up a shot glass
  146. Greene has no way he can regret this decision
  147. <BarOwner>: Eel Lob Liquor, got it off the coast of Myanmar. Limit is one shot per year. Very potent. Still up for it?
  148. <Greene>: "Yes I am" he says with confidence
  149. BarOwner pours a shot, and lights the top of the glass on fire
  150. <BarOwner>: Take a seat before you chug it
  151. <BarOwner>: It'llknock ya clean on your ass
  152. <Greene>: "Think I can get those wings first? Not just orderin for me"
  153. <BarOwner>: yeah, yeah, keep your pants on
  154. <BarOwner>: FRANK
  155. <BarOwner>: POTATO WINGS
  156. <BarOwner>: You can hear a grumble from the back room, as fries tosses on top of the wings, are slid out behind her. the BarOwner grabs them, and pops them down in front of you. She then pours a coke and rye, and pushes it in your hand
  157. <BarOwner>: That'll be $95.70
  158. Greene takes a 100 out of his back pocket, puts it down
  159. <BarOwner>: Oh wait
  160. BarOwner puls out a polaroid picture, and takes a snapshot. She wave dries the picture, and pops it on the Eel Lob wall, right next to the picture of Jitters
  161. BarOwner takes the $100 and pockets it
  162. Greene is seriously concerned about Jitters sometimes
  163. <BarOwner>: You're welcome, come again
  164. Greene picks up his entire order and heads back to the table
  165. Jitterbug waves over to Greene
  166. <Greene>: "Alright, getting banned was one thing but buying behind the counter swill is another" he says as he places everything down including his flaming drink
  167. <Jitterbug>: What?
  168. Jitterbug reaches to grab some fries
  169. <Greene>: "Apparently I'm not the first to buy this. I thought you didn't like hooch"
  170. <Jitterbug>: I don't! I just needed it to get into good grace, for investigatory reasons!
  171. Jitterbug crosses her arms, and uses another to munch on the fries
  172. <Greene>: "Right. Either way, bottoms up"
  173. Greene chugs the drink
  174. <Jitterbug>: Greene is hit really hard by the drink, as he begins to stagger on the stool
  175. Greene holds onto the table
  176. <Jitterbug>: You okay?
  177. <Greene>: "....Yeah"
  178. <Jitterbug>: You seeing anything?
  179. <Jitterbug>: Greene can see the glimpses of yellow stuff at the corner of his eyes
  180. <Greene>: "I'm fine.... barely even that bad"
  181. <Greene>: "Don't know what the big deal is"
  182. <Jitterbug>: Right...Recite the alphabet for me then, while touching your nose with each finger, alternating
  183. Jitterbug munches on some wings
  184. Greene sways back and forth a little bit, trying his hardest to recite the alphabet while he touches his nose with his fingers
  185. <Jitterbug>: Yeah, sure, didn't hit you hard at at
  186. Jitterbug smiles at Greene's predicament
  187. <Greene>: "I'm.......fine"
  188. Jitterbug pats Greene on the head, taking a sip of her coke, before spitting it back out
  189. <Jitterbug>: Rob! The hell is this!?
  190. <Jitterbug>: Jitterbug pats Greene on the head, taking a sip of her coke, before spitting it back out <Jitterbug>: Rob! The hell is this!?
  191. <Graine>: "c-coke"
  192. <Jitterbug>: There's booze in here, smell it!
  193. <Graine>: "whaaaat?"
  194. Jitterbug holds the cup up to Graine's nose, the smell of Rye and coke is there
  195. <Graine>: "I didn't order that did I..." he remembers now that he saw them mixing it in there
  196. <Graine>: "those bahstards!"
  197. <Jitterbug>: I hope not!
  198. <Jitterbug>: Rob, calm down, just, go and ask for a coke, alright?
  199. <Graine>: "fine..." he stumbles up and attempts to walk to the bar
  200. <Jitterbug>: Rob, let me help you...
  201. <Graine>: "no... they won't let you up there.... I... gotta"
  202. Jitterbug reaches into her back pocket, puts on some sunglasses, and wraps Graine's scarf around her head, as she carries him to the bar
  203. <Jitterbug>: I'm good
  204. Graine is dragged without resistance
  205. Jitterbug pops Graine on the bar stool, and turns her back away from the barowner
  206. <Graine>: "h-hey.... I ordered a coke. ya put boooooooze in it"
  207. <Barowner>: Yeah, ya wanted a coke, right?
  208. <Graine>: "yeah. ya put booze in it. I didn't order my booze in my coke"
  209. <Barowner>: WEll, then you order a virgin coke and rye, Norman.
  210. Barowner pours Graine a cup of coke, and passes it to him
  211. Greene luckily doesn't spill the coke
  212. Greene fumbles back to the table
  213. Jitterbug carries Greene back, as you hear an offhanded remark about mutants muttered by one of the bargoers
  214. Greene mumbles some remark back, still drunk off his ass
  215. Jitterbug looks down a bit sad, and sits Greene
  216. <Greene>: "sorry.... I'm a mess..."
  217. <Jitterbug>: It's fine...
  218. <Jitterbug>: Didn't think there were still people out there like that
  219. <Greene>: "you're beautiful to me..."
  220. <Jitterbug>: I know, thank you, Rob, but...We are gonna be having a kid soon
  221. <Jitterbug>: I know I'm overreacting a bit here, but, I don't want him to be made fun of...especially if he is like this...
  222. Jitterbug says, holding up her arms, and flaying her antennas
  223. <Greene>: "that kid will be strong like you. I know it"
  224. <Jitterbug>: Still...
  225. <Greene>: "don't worry, just keep going for all of us"
  226. <Jitterbug>: What if he comes out with my cockroach stuff, and your unlovability? What if he comes out.....not right?
  227. Jitterbug shakes her head
  228. <Greene>: "we'll do what we always do, try our best. together"
  229. <Jitterbug>: Sorry, must be the alcohol talking
  230. Jitterbug hugs Greene
  231. Greene hugs jitters
  232. Jitterbug leans back, and pops a fry in Greene's mouth, smiling
  233. <Jitterbug>: Here's hoping he doesn't get your mug. That's a face only a mother can love
  234. <Greene>: "heeeeey"
  235. Jitterbug laughs, and eats some more wings, passing them to Greene periodically
  236. Greene plays along, still having a massive appetite
  237. Jitterbug finishes up the last of the fries, allowing Greene to handle the wings, and then chugs back the onion dip, and coke
  238. Greene devours wings
  239. <Jitterbug>: Ready to head out, buddy?
  240. Greene nods sloppily
  241. Jitterbug hoist Greene up, and begins to walk him outside
  242. Greene is happily carried
  243. Jitterbug opens the door, and drops Greene into the passenger seat, buckling him up
  244. Jitterbug slides on the roof, and heads to the other side, hopping in the driver seat
  245. <Jitterbug>: keys?
  246. Greene fumbles the keys to her
  247. Jitterbug grabs the keys, and turns the engine on. Jitterbug looks over at Greene
  248. <Jitterbug>: How ya feeling?
  249. <Greene>: "fiiiiiiiiine, the drink was nooothin"
  250. <Greene>: "I'm gr-great"
  251. Jitterbug ruffles Greene's hair, and begins to pull out of the parking lot, and make their way home
  252. <Jitterbug>: Halfway home, she lets out an excited gasp
  253. <Greene>: "hmmmmm?"
  254. <Jitterbug>: Rob, quick!
  255. <Greene>: "what?!"
  256. Jitterbug grabs Greene's hand and places it on her belly. He can feel a tiny kick inside
  257. Greene looks surprised to the point of sobriety, also excited
  258. Jitterbug is squeeing with excitement
  259. <Greene>: "it's a healthy one too! already strong!" he laughs, ecstatic
  260. <Jitterbug>: Gonna be a real fighter, I can feel it!
  261. Jitterbug punches Greene in the arm
  262. <Jitterbug>: Passed on some good genes, Greene
  263. Greene flexes
  264. <Greene>: "I already knew that"
  265. Jitterbug laughs, as they finish their long drive home, ending the night with hot chocolate, under some blankets, watching reruns of Tales from the Crypt, and, some cuddling on the side
