40. Four American soldiers who are in Iraq are sent on a mission to recover plates for printing 100 dollar bills that were used to print a billion dollars. After doing the job and returning to the base their commanding officer is killed in an explosion and the plates are stolen by another operative. They would be court martialed and sent to different prisons. 6 months later, the leader, Hannibal Smith is visited by a CIA spook who tells him he knows where the man who took the plates is and wants him and his men to recover it. So he helps him escape and he breaks out the others and they go after the plates. But after doing it, they discover that the spook might not be ok. And a military intelligence officer who was involved with one of them is pursuing them.
 41. Meet Hannibal (Liam Neeson), Face (Bradley Cooper), B.A. (Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson), and Murdoch (Sharlto Copley). Together, they make the A-Team, a group of skilled army rangers with eighty successive missions under their belt. Stationed out in Iraq, they are approached by CIA agent Lynch (Patrick Wilson) who offers them a job involving stolen USD mint plates and a billion dollars in counterfeit money. The A-Team takes up the job, only to find that it's a setup. Court-martialed and sentenced to four individual prisons - one psychiatric ward, in Murdoch's case - the team is almost a distant memory. Six months later, Hannibal escapes prison and pulls together the team to take down the man who set them up and restore their names. With a demoted captain (Jessica Biel) on their tail - who happens to be Face's old flame - the team races to seize the plates again, only to discover that nothing is as it seems.
 42. Think about it for a second. The A-Team series was a fun, action packed series with a lot of violence, but yet so little because no one got seriously hurt or killed. There was always a lot of comedy. There was chemistry between the characters. And we always knew what was going to happen at the end, but we watched it every week. Well, this movie hit it on the spot.

Strengths: Fun!!!!!; contemporarized the story; comedy; editing; simple plot (you don't have to think too hard); same old fashion theme action/violence with no "real" casualties; and casting (the actors do an UNBELIEVABLE job of keeping the characters original to their personality without looking like they're trying to copy the original actors).

Weaknesses: Some of the action was a little too video game like, even for the A-Team; the after credit scenes would've been better during the movie

Conclusion: They are who we thought they were, and I LOVED it. I felt like a kid again with my mother yelling at me telling to go to bed, and I'm 31. :)
 43. So it finally happened. A big budget Hollywood version of my childhood heroes, whom I spent every afternoon watching after school at my grandma's house. And since then have re-watched the last couple of years during the age of the DVD.

At first I didn't know what to expect from The A-team, but went into the movie theater with an open mind. I just hoped they wouldn't ruin it. And I believe that your opinion on this title varies a lot depending on just that, what you expect. I experienced both positives and negatives, sure. Some negatives which I wouldn't have accepted in any other film but since it's the A-team I let it slip. Again, the open mind.

First of all, the cast was great. Liam Neeson was a good Hannibal and Cooper a good Face (who I thought played a bit to big a part in the team). Copley gives a great performance, as he did in District 9, and I can't wait to see him in some more pictures. As for Rampage Jacksons part I don't have a lot to complain about either. He's not the best actor, alright, but then again neither is Mr. T.

Storywise I liked how they somehow explained how the team came to meet, but in a way I found that the movie was a bit too chopped up. First they met, then they were set up, then they escaped and then they went for revenge. Almost like four separate parts or episodes if you will. Like a TV-series? I personally also disliked the way that many of the scenes were shot with a close up camera making it hard to see what actually went on in the many, many action sequences.

The story is a little weak at some points. Some that I would have never taken from any other franchise or movie, as I'm usually quite bothered with plot holes. But then again, I didn't think they would tell the greatest story ever told. And revenge stories aren't very complex by nature, are they? All and all a good movie experience for someone who knows the franchise and know what to expect. This is the A-team, nothing more, nothing less. And no, they didn't ruin it!
 44. Best enjoyed (a la the "Mission: Impossible" franchise) by simply admiring the explosions and silliness without dwelling too much on the skeletal plot.
 45. The A-Team is based on , a TV series that ran from 1983-1987. The storyline was adapted for the film by screenwriters Skip Woods, Michael Brandt, and Derek Haas. Dwight Schultz and Dirk Benedict both had a cameo appearance in a short scene after the closing credits. Mr. T does not make a cameo appearance. George Peppard passed away in 1994. If you're referring to the movie then it's called "House of Pain" by The Game. You can find the rest of the songs with their corresponding scenes here. The unrated extended cut provides many extensions to balance out the action/story ratio. F-bombs, removed from the theatrical version, have been re-integrated into the movie as well. In total, nearly 19 minutes of prolonged story sequences can be found in the extended cut. a5c7b9f00b
