  1. Annette Templeton (Stand Name: Fast Lane)
  2.
  3. Description:
  4.
  5. A red breton hat with a black and white checkered band and a pair of goggles sits atop Annette's head, partly covering her short straight brown hair and the all but the tips of her bangs in front. In the back, her hair is cut diagonally, leaving it short on her right side and just shy of her neck on the left. On the front of her hat and appearing elsewhere on her outfit is the SPW acronym, indicating her employer, though she will switch to a non-monogrammed version of each garment when necessary to hide her affiliation. A black and white checkered scarf sits tied loosely around her neck, framing her pointed chin, with the bow securing it sitting on her right shoulder.
  6.
  7. She wears a red racing jacket (often left mostly unzipped) with rolled up sleeves and a black/white checker trim over a black tank top that exposes her stomach and red cargo shorts, a pair of red/black racing gloves covering halfway between her wrists and elbows on the left and just past the wrist on the right.
  8.
  9. Her legs are covered by a mis-matched pair of socks, one black thigh-high on the left with one red knee-high on the right, both with white squares trimming the top and white toe/heel sections. A red pair of high top shoes round out the outfit, simple white touches on the toe/heel and a white circle around a red star on either side and the tongue of each shoe. While her shoes seem to be the exception to her asymmetric style, they're laced differently and the knots to tie them are slightly different.
  10.
  11. These clothes are, notably, treated to be highly friction and heat resistant, and fitted to not chafe even after a long day's work, the materials gathered and assembled by her wife who pulled some favors to get it. A sizable messenger bag hangs at her side on the job- and sometimes casually- with a simple red and black checker pattern. She often carries a black/white checkered umbrella with her to deal with rain.
  12.
  13. She keeps a change of the normal Speedwagon Foundation uniform on her as well, and wears it when on official business that doesn't require subtlety or long term extended periods in public, working perfectly within the lines of her employment.
  14.
  15.
  16. Traits:
  17.
  18. 1. [Impulse] "Do Harm": Annette spent her life 'by-the-book'- etiquette, cleanliness, and order were the cornerstones of her upbringing. And it it did her a fat lot of good. The lessons are too deeply ingrained for her to be rid of them, and in a polite conversation she'll abide by them, but a striking violation of them will push her repressed anger and bitterness to the surface- likely with violent results.
  19. 2. [Trust] Jodie Reynolds: Annette's wife, the love of her life, and her rock through the worst few months of her life. Annette was directed toward the Speedwagon Foundation by Jodie when the latter realized she had become a stand user, both to gain support for the new world she had been thrust into and to allow her to continue practicing medicine; Annette's choice to become a field agent has caused some strife between the two as Jodie fears for Annette's safety, but Annette is determined to find her place in the world helping people where she is needed- even still, Jodie is the person Annette treasures most in the world.

  41. Stand Abilities:
  42.
  43. [Uncontrolled Acceleration]
  44. Target(s): (Ally, Enemy)
  45. Effect: Apply "Uncontrolled Acceleration" Condition
  46. Drawback: Activation (Target must be in motion, or have moved on their most recent turn.)
  47.
  48. Condition Name: [Uncontrolled Acceleration]
  49. Condition Effect:
  50. When you gain this Condition, and once per turn when you move a distance, gain 1 stack of this Condition (max 2).
  51.
  52. At the start of a turn with 1 or more stacks of this Condition, you must choose whether or not you wish to continue Accelerating. If you do, you are moved X distances in the direction you were already moving, X being equal to the stacks of this Condition. If you do not, make a Basic Roll, or a Strength, Speed, Durability, or Precision Roll.
  53.
  54. Success with a Basic Roll, Strength Roll, or Speed Roll allows you to reduce the distance and/or change the direction you are moved in (do not gain a stack, and reduce stacks to 0 at the end of the turn), and success with a Basic Roll, Durability Roll, or Precision Roll allows you to stop (do not gain a stack, and either reduce stacks to 0 at the end of the turn, or remove this Condition immediately).
  55.
  56. You gain a bonus to Basic Rolls, Strength Rolls, and Speed rolls equal to stacks of this Condition * 2, but take a penalty to Precision and Durability rolls equal to stacks of this Condition * 2. If you fail a roll affected by this Condition, take damage equal to stacks of this Condition * 3. If you take damage, collide with something, and/or your movement is halted by some outside effect or force, this Condition ends.

  59.
  60. Rejected traits:
  61.
  62. 1. [Impulse] Pessimistic Perfectionist: Annette spent much of her life 'by the book'- cleanliness, order, and etiquette were the cornerstones of her life. Though fat lot of good it may have done her, and though Annette's baby steps toward letting go of her high stress lifestyle to pursue her own wants have borne fruit, dealing with someone else's crassness causes the flame of resentment to flare up, and the one responsible is likely to get burned. Annette receives a bonus to avoid getting dirty or when exacting vengeance over some snide comment, but a penalty to actions that involve getting dirty or to see if she can keep her calm.
  63. 2. [Goal] Doctor Feelgood: Though her original career path is now closed to her, Annette
  64.
  65.
  66. 1. Perfectionist: Annette spent much of her life 'by the book'- cleanliness, order, and etiquette were the cornerstones of her life, diligent work her creed. Even after everything, Annette is averse to getting dirty, leaving a mess, or being outright rude.
  67. 2. Life in the Fast Lane: After a significant chunk of her life went into a career that crashed and burned due to a chance encounter with the supernatural, Annette has little patience for others- if there's a faster way to do something, she'll take a risk. Or maybe she'll take a risk because she feels like it, and kick the shit out of someone who gives her guff, dammit.
  68.
  69.
  70.
  71.
  72. 1. [Impulse] Quiet Riot: Annette's lived a fastidious life; etiquette, cleanliness, rules, and study were her cornerstones. Annette obsesses over being proper and everything being in its proper place. [Annette has trouble breaking the rules or disobeying orders, finds disorganized messes distracting, and avoids dirt and grime.]
  73. 2. [Impulse] Wild Thing: ...but after losing her job and her hard work amounting to nothing due to one chance encounter with the supernatural, Annette has become more 'rebellious'- impatient, short-tempered and reckless, wanting to rush headfirst into life and savor it while it lasts. Within the boundaries of the letter of the rules, at least. [Annette is about as much a 'rebel' as a kid staying up ten minutes past curfew- purposefully focusing on asymmetry in her outfit and organization, and acting on whims to try new things, but the seeds are there to become something more.]
  74.
  75. ("She's very by the book, except when suddenly she's not!")
  76.
  77.
  78. 1. [Impulse] Perfect Asymmetry: On the surface, Annette's personality is a typical perfectionist neat freak; getting dirty, leaving a mess, and rule breaking all grate on her nerves and draws her mind from the situation at hand. However, organized does not mean symmetrical, and breaking does not mean bending- Annette loathes things being exactly systemic, and so always finds ways to offset things.
  79. 2. [Goal] Career Change: Drawn into the world of stands by the incident that cost her a hard-earned medical career, Annette desires to find the source of the stand arrow fragment that killed her patient and awoke her stand, all while committing to her new job as a Speedwagon Foundation employee.
  80.
  81. 1. [Impulse] A Place for Every Thing: Annette struggles with an obsession with order and cleanliness; leaving anything dirty or out of place is distracting to her, and going against protocol agitates her.
