- Mistakes were made. We're going back to ETH.
- When THIRM launched it was an ERC20 token, but to overcome congestion and take advantage of cheaper fees we migrated the BSC. Today we are announcing that with the release of V2 of the THIRM protocol we are moving back to the Ethereum network.
- There is lots to love about BSC, and during this time we definitely benefited from the faster and cheaper transactions. Going forwards however the Ethereum network will be a better fit for THIRM.
- Why a better fit?
- Decentralisation!
- Our vision for a trustless and decentralised protocol is at odds with the centralised nature of the Binance Smart Chain. BSC has it's strengths, but it's not for us. In addition to Ethereum being a decentralised network, there are more options to bridge to other networks that are themselves decentralised.
- You might have noticed that liquidity has dried up on both pancakeswap and THIRMswap. Don't panic. After the migration to V2 you'll be able to claim your shiny new ERC20 THIRM tokens.
- $THIRM is now available on Uniswap: https://app.uniswap.org/#/swap?outputCurrency=0xb526fd41360c98929006f3bdcbd16d55de4b0069
