  1. Perhaps Nio would be following Amir? The Sarradian had quickly run off -- moving away from everyone else as he looks around the area. What could one do in a time like this? This was nothing he was used to at all, but, he had to try and not kill. Amir refused to stoop to a level as low as one Ninurta or his supposed family -- the killers they were..
  2.
  3. Of course, with the very big nevermore bird that seemed to be swarming around, Amir begins to aim wildly at it -- shooting forth shards of ice using the bracelets of Elenora, once wielded by past legends and heroes! THey were amplified by it -- and -- Amir could feel somewhat confident with them. Of course, eyes would ahve soon focussed upon Basile, Rylus, and the Yokai.
  4.
  5. Oh god... Well, he could try his best -- he would begin to shoot forth walls of SAND and blasts of ice, but one could particulary notice all of the WIND MAGIC being tossed around him; the hurricanes and typhoons attempting to take out all three at once!
  6. (Amir)
  7. Cyne whispers something.
  8. Basile whispers something.
  9. Cyne whispers something.
  10. Cyne whispers something.
  11. Basile: *Looks like some horrifying toxic nightmare with all the crumby makeshift tech, poisonous smog, and gasmask!*
  12. Basile: *Non magi is trying to overcompensate...*
  13. Basile whispers something.
  14. And it's then that the sounds of battle were heard throughout the lands. Each side charges.. each side riddled with individuals who would risk their lives in order to preserve their very own version of justice. His heart thrummed within his chest, and he's seen searching through the chaos for a potential match. His sword is drawn from his backside, held at the ready, and soon enough he comes across two individuals.
  15.
  16. Amir and Nio.
  17.
  18. He skids to a halt within the sandy desert, glancing at the the two of them. "Hey..!" he says, hoping to get their attention. He wasn't very discreet at all. He waves his sword around in his hand. "You're the other side, right? War means we have to fight until we fall." As if they didn't know already. His attention is centered upon the silver-haired boy who also carried a sword as well. He smiles somewhat.
  19.
  20. "Ooh.. you use a sword too, huh? Are you good with it..?" Only one way to find out. Even within the heart of war, he seemed to be nothing more than a child within the field of battle. Soon enough, lightning sparks around his form and he ventures forward.
  21.
  22. "Time to fight!"
  23. (Rylus Falco)
  24. Face to face their opponents, Nio's eyes widen, it had begun, he was about to have a fight as real as one gets. He had never done something like this before... What in Kraus' name was he doing here when he could be in Wychwood, in Danarium, in Frostvale even?! Yet before he could ask himself why he was here any longer, he looks back to the Sarradian, having to keep himself from yelling out at his friend running off.
  25.
  26. He runs after him, his reason for being here couldn't get away from him like that!
  27.
  28. "Amir you are a fucking idiot!" He calls to the boy as he ran beside him, the wooden blade whipping up the sand behind him as the wind began to trail behind him immediatly. "I'm going to beat the crap out of you once I take out these guys!" He adds, too into the moment to truly address what he was facing as he points the blade towards their opponent.
  29.
  30. The panic in the boy's eyes were evident none the less. The yokai wasn't helping the situation for him.
  31.
  32. "Hope you're prepared to lose like the losers you are!"
  33. (Nio Atlas)
  34. Aeromancy seemed to be his best bet right now; water did not work so well within a desert, even at night; but wind was something that worked with such certain success that it was crushing those he was battling! Sandstorms of wind and sand go forth; attempting to choke out the enemy in some way; making their eyes water, buffeting them until they were down...
  35.
  36. Nio was helping too; something that seemed to be most effective in a time like this. His wind magic could increase the swings of his friend; increasing the overall damage that he could inflict, and it seemed like the Sarradian and the swordsman had a pretty neat combo during at time like this! However, one would notice the three twisters -- those that kept surrounding Amir, constantly going after them all..
  37.
  38. How horrid! But, he glances to Nio. "Careful.", he calls out! Amir had heavy, buffeting veils of wind to assure him protection, whilst Nio had very little to protect himself. But, of course; they had to keep going -- and -- wind magic continued to be the defining factor of their success!
  39.
  40. Go team wind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  41. (Amir)
  42. Wow... well.. he didn't think that they were -that- strong. He charges in with impressive speed, his attention moreso focuse upon Amir who rippling winds in the form of tornados surrounding him. They acted as a barrier, and the sicing winds cut into his body and shield as well, causing crimson to seep from open wounds. The force fromt he two wind users were more than enough to send him reeling back, tumbling into the dirty, body riddled with pain. He grits his teeth, shield having been knocked from his grasp.
  43.
  44. "Ow, ow, ow, ow..." he mutters, grabbing ahold of his head as he attempts to stop the headache. He inhales deeply, exhaling not long after before pushing himself to his feet. "You guys... are strong.." he mutters, or perhaps maybe he was just weak...? Whatever the case, he's ready now, the sword upon his back held outward as he glances in Nio's direction. "Especially you, I didn't think you hit that hard with it." But now.. he had prepared himself to step forward once more.
  45.
  46. "I can swing harder though!" he assures, stepping over towards the boy with Sanguine held at the ready. His heart raced with excitement as he prepares to charge once more. This was war, huh...?
  47.
  48. It all kind of seemed like a game.
  49. (Rylus Falco)
  50. The boy dashes towards the three, ignoring the fear and focusing on hitting the enemy instead. Those attacks come fast, Nio's feet quite literally leaving the ground as he swings around the enemies, the ground no longer held any sway on his moments, he had long since grown accustomed to rejecting it with this magic.
  51.
  52. The Yokai falling as a bombardment of wind hits it is what finally cracks apart the fear and allow the boy's pride to return. He grins wide at the fallen creature, confidence covering his face just long enough for him to not see the twister whack into him, sending him flying away. He responds with the space around the remaining two crashing down on them.
  53.
  54. "I don't need to be careful, these losers can't even whip up a decent bit of wind!" He laughs condescendingly. He lands onto the ground with a skid, the wind blasting into the Nostvalians without remorse.
  55.
  56. "You really thought you could keep up with us? I'm-" He stops himself glancing towars the Sarradian with an odd look before turning back to say. "We're the fastest in Danarium!"
  57. (Nio Atlas)
  58. He indeed was caught in the horrible winds that constantly surrounded Amir. His own wind magic not specialized enough to compensate against the other and ended up falling short in power compared to the other. His wings beating hard to just keep him moving as he attacked with his claws against the two who got in his way.
  59.
  60. Nio's blade catching against him as he defends against the twisters around Amir though and he goes down hard. Pulling himself from the sand moments later with a heavy hiss and an angry look at the two they're fighting against. Amir's winds making him worry the most his own are brought once more to bare. Twisters raging about them as they prepare to use the same tactics as the other against him.
  61.
  62. Occultic aura once more coming back in a flurry and mana coursing through his system to enhance his physical powers. Small grovel of yokai surrounding the Kaor and preparing to lash out at the enemy heedless of the winds that buffet the about. Draconic-avian's sharp teeth once more lashing out towards the two as he attacks.
  63. (Cyne)
  64. Rylus Falco: ...I can be fast too.
  65. Nio Atlas: Keep telling yourself that when your face goes back tot he ground.
  66. Rylus Falco: ...Oh yeah?!
  67. Of course it'd just be a game for the magi, why would Basile believe it'd be any different then the last time! Syringes were loaded, shot, and relatively useless, the choking gasses may have slowed them down but that was all! It wasn't even that slow.. In all honestly! The whipping winds and choking winds weren't the least of her worries, bits of sand clacking against her gasmask, and cracks forming against the damage.
  68.
  69. Inhalation of her own fumes, accompanied by getting buffeted by a gust of wind didn't help either. Laying in the dirt she wrenched off her gas mask, hacking and coughing into the dirt, a bit of bile followed suit before she pushed herself upright. Cheeks burning a bright red in a fit of rage.
  70.
  71. History was doomed to repeat itself, again. Another kid- well, a group of children treating her life like a game. "This isn't some STUPID GAME!" She shouted in frustration, fuming and grinding her teeth together.
  72.
  73. Her body was already aching and dying, the fragile non-magi body suffering from bruises, and- ouch, one of her fingers were broken. That didn't look too good. Gritting through the pain she immediately resumes her crude mechanical devices.
  74.
  75. It wouldn't change the battle, but it'd help her vent. "You're just a PAIR OF INTOLERATE BRATS! My life isn't some sort've stupid game, the lot of you damned magi, can kiss my arse!" Alright now she was just cussing at children, and throwing her own tantrum.
  76. (Basile)
  77. He refused to lose; and he even told Nio to be careful; that if he was not careful, he would end up getting injured or something badly, but it seemed that he was reckless as ever -- allowing Amir himself to see how badly the boy had gotten beating at some point! Ugh! Nio!! Come on! It was up to him now, it seemed; and he would surely do it.
  78.
  79. He starts off with Cyne; shooting forth a potent blast of ice that would've likely frozen his wing, sending him into the ground -- the ice smashing almost immediately, probably, and, he moves closer to Nio to prevent further injury! Ice magic is flowing around him -- wind used to create a heavy blast; shooting away the non-magi, Basile; and finally, before Rylus could do much more; sand is collected.
  80.
  81. That sand is collected within a heavy gust of wind, creating a tornado that demolishes him. While none of them would truly be affected badly nor captured, Amir would ensure that they would have sand in places where sand should not be -- and in their ears, also, for quite a long time...
  82.
  83. Of course, after that -- he had rushed to the side of Nio; and went to check on him. "Nio -- you okay..?", he asks, he seems concerned for the Atlas, of course. Though, eyes do scan across the sarab for Ninurta.
  84. (Amir)
  85. Basile whispers something.
  86. It's no question that Nio's repeated taunts were getting to him. The boy most certainly held a speed advantage over him, his use of wind making for a heavy augment in speed. He could barely keep up -- the boy only having lightning at his disposal. The two would go at it, Rylus' sword lashing out in a black arc only to meet the resistance of the other boy's sword. It was obvious that they had two different styles when it came to swordplay, and for the most part they seemed to be matched to a degree. Rylus was having only a little troublle keeping up with him, holding true to his word that he too, could be fast.
  87.
  88. Shing!
  89.
  90. Sparks fly as the two metals clash violently, the force bursting the each of them back in opposite directions. He blinks, and the boy was gone, setting his sights upon his allies. It would prove to be a fatal mistake. Was he looking down on Rylus..? Did he believe that he was unworthy of a fight..? It made him angry. Crimson lightning continued to arc around his body, and he's gone nigh instantaneousuly, traveling across the terrain at a speed that nearly surpassed Nio's own. With his back turned to him, Rylus would appear directly in front of the boy, as back attacks were.. dishonorable.
  91.
  92. He had hoped to startle him somewhat, and his sword is launched in a wide arc, slicing deeply into the boy's chest in a diagonal fashion, a powerful burst of lightning following not long after. It'd serve to send him flying back a bit, and perhaps leave him in the ground where he would lay. His breaths are ragged, and really.. he didn't have too much fight left in him. He stares down upon his defeated opponent, a smirk on his face.
  93.
  94. "Heh.. heh heh.. now who's eating dir---" he couldn't even finish his sentence as a powerful gust of wind slams into his form from behind, sending him flying in the opposite direction. The pure concussive force was more than enough to leave him unconscious in the sand. He'd definitely need to be stitched up.
  95. (Rylus Falco)
  96. Toxins mixed with the wind- with her mask damaged, Basile was forced to not only deal with the strength of the wind magi, but also also the toxins exhumed from her own terrible contraption! Unsurprisingly, the thing fell apart after she was blasted back into the sand, rolling through it. A gasp of air- her lungs desperately needing something more sating then the putrid inhalation she was forced to breath in. Her eyes watered, pinkish clear liquid dribbling like tears from them whilst she wobbled to her feet.
  97.
  98. "You'll get your come uppance.. Someday, st..stupid magi..!" She seethed, funnily enough she was plotting to exhilirate herself into magi-hood but that was besides the point. Aiming her syringe rifle towards her discarded pack, and the crackling device nearing its end, she pulled the trigger.
  99.
  100. There was a thwack, and since Basile was one for Dramatics she'd decided to blow up her machine there and then! It was to escape, of course! A small explosion of green smog coating the desert- shifting about wildly.
  101.
  102. You know, to be frank, a wind user could've easily blown this away! But like a saturdy morning cartoon villain, somehow Basile, the slow.. Non-Magi.. Manages to make her getaway, a bit of cackling and fist shaking was all that was in her wake...
  103. (Basile)
  104. Amir: <*walks towards rylus, threateningly snapping his fingers while holding an 'L' stamp in one hand..*>
  105. Magi where powerful he learned that day.
  106.
  107. Ice causing his body to stiffen and wings freeze crashing him into the ground, coming out roaring only to be met with the pain of the horrible winds all about them. Forced to back down with body screaming in pain. He hadn't felt this horrible since- Well since Hendrix or the Mermaid, both of whom had plucked an eye from him in victory. Fear tugging through his system as he looks towards his enemies that threaten to absolutely destroy him.
  108.
  109. A loud hiss let out before they quickly move towards those of their own team. Not wanting to go back 'empty handed' literally he grabs onto the first he can find, Rylus' corpse which still seems to be living through the lacerations all along his body. Basile making her own escape through a fog cloud of toxins that he dares not approach, the Kaor looking towards his aggressors and snarling as his massive claws wrap around Rylus' body.
  110.
  111. "This isn't over..." Eyes settling specifcially on Amir who seemed to do the most damage of the two. "Next we meet I'll be even stronger. For now I say good bye, and good luck in the rest of this battle. Belial will not deal kindly with you when the blood of your allies washes the desert and he is freed from his celestial prison." A warning perhaps? Nonetheless the beast's wings flare out widely and he takes to the sky quickly, ascending higher and higher till he's but a small shadow in the air and makes his way back towards friendly borders.
  112. (Cyne)
  113. Before he had even moved, the darkness of the night seemed to grow more intense until soon, the pale boy couldn't even see his own sword. His vision had been stolen he soon realises and with a desperate set of swings from the wooden blade, he dashes forward. The space around him begins to compress downwards, a blind attempt at hitting anyone, with Amir hopefully not being apart of that anyone.
  114.
  115. Yet his vision returned and with it, came the younger boy, running alongside him, in return, Nio scoffs at him, instead dashing towards the yokai, his distance from the ground growing larger as he nears it. A quick THWACK is dealt to it's underbelly, inflicting as much damage as the Atlas could hope to muster. With a thud, he skids back towards the ground, his control of gravity not enough to keep him up there for long.
  116.
  117. He's met with a slice of metal going through his chest, the teenager's cocky expression turning into one of shock as he stumbles back, watching Rylus being blown away in another direction. Before he could really comprehend what had just happened, the Sarradian had fended off the other two, they had begun to retreat, they had done it.
  118.
  119. As Amir approaches him, Nio glances down at the blood now covering his hand, he had been touching the wound. It was only now just starting to hurt, he was feeling woozy...
  120.
  121. "P- Pfft, I'm uh... Of course I'm fine, c'mon, we have to go..." He gets up, looking just about ready to fall over straight after. But nevetheless he walks back towards the battle.
  122. (Nio Atlas)
