If you are making a blog for content, it should be relatively blank as the meat of the blog is going to be accessed via the content links.  When they click on a content link, it will take them to the appropriate blog.

1) Create a 'Content' blog (Titled content with a short description (IE "Hover over plus sign for Content') for the body of the text.
2) Disable Kudos & Comments
3) Put a link to this content blog on your profile.
