  102.
  103. It’s funny you can go into a jump expecting one thing and things just go an entirely different way. I figured we were in for a tame 3 years because we had 3 years before the events of the movie took place and hence super heroics would be banned. With all the planning perks I have it’s funny how rarely things go as planned.
  104.
  105. I had split my companions up into different families. I figured it would be cleaner than dealing with native families.
  106.
  107. For my Father I chose King Hassan, this was something he himself came to me about “Contractor, why didst thou choose me, for thine Father?” I admitted that I didn’t see him meshing well with some of my companions in such a role but I also pointed out that I respected his devotion to his faith and figured he would be a protective father. It was strange because he could and did speak normally in this world but would slip back into the old English when he was talking as King Hassan. Also strangely without the skull mask he was still kind of scary looking. He was still huge and still had that aura of death about him. They had stuck him as a mortician. Somehow that seemed correct, he never complained about the job. I couldn’t say if he liked or disliked it.
  108.
  109. King Hassan though wasn’t the only one to speak to me though Iskandar who was with Nekochan, was quite eager to speak to me. This world had a long proud history of heroes. Iskandar felt that the normal people of this world had sold out their heroes for some pocket change on ludicrous lawsuits… While he was right in my opinion he really wanted to conquer this place. This wasn’t necessarily a surprise. I mean he is called the King of Conquerors for a reason. However usually it’s happy conquering, here he was legitimately pissed off. I wouldn’t go as far as to say he was looking to punish the world but… if such foolishness was so pervasive I guess he figured the world needed a strong man to steer it back in the right direction. What’s worse, Nekochan seemed all on board with this. I kind of agreed, but I didn’t see things ending well. I brought up that the retired heroes were likely to come out of the woodwork to fight him but this only seemed to excite him more.
  110.
  111. Eventually I got him to give me a year to try and bring back the heroes and try and make the world... less stupid. He would wait and prepare in that time. If I couldn’t do it I would throw my full support behind him… great now I just have to find a way to make people less stupid.
  112.
  113. One good thing here was that my companies were here instead of being incinerated with the rest of humanity so I had a metric ton of money and made a note to start a media company. I had a few ideas on how to improve the image of Heroes and bring them back.
  114.
  115. I vaguely knew the plot of this world and I was already going to dump it on its head. I had no idea though how far and how soon.
  116.
  117. So I was going to school the next day. It was a fairly typical school except for the fact my school age companions and I attended.
  118.
  119. Now King Hassan was driving me to school when we both felt it, Magic. Though we didn’t really need magic to know something was up as suddenly the sky went from bright and sunny to dark and foreboding with storm clouds that looked like it was about to rain. It was about that point I seemed to recall a drawback I had taken. King Hassan asked me if I needed any help dealing with it but I knew what getting him involved meant so I told him I could handle it.
  120.
  121. So I got out and looked for my companions, as expected Nekochan, Mash and Arcueid were waiting for me. We could feel someone in there was throwing around some heavy magic so we decided to head in to measure the damage. Also there were no other kids around so … that was not a good sign.
  122.
  123. I was never much for horror video games believe it or not. I hate jump scares; but when you enter a school during school time and there is dead silence things are eerie. I was just waiting for something to jump out from behind a corner, probably screaming… I could hear it begin to rain outside and the crash of thunder. It was clear that someone had gotten ahold of my magic power from Overlord and from the look of it, quite a bit.
  124.
  125. We ventured on. I could feel us being scryed upon. It was also fairly apparent that we were being led as only certain halls were lit up. Eventually we headed for the auditorium and found… something.
  126.
  127. The Auditorium was packed with students sitting still in seats. I could barely hear them breathe and a quick look showed them to be in a trance-like state.
  128.
  129. On the stage in front of the Auditorium was a throne, a tall throne that looked like it was made of black wood stylized in the shape of skulls and bones.
  130.
  131. On the throne sat a young woman dressed like a stereotypical witch. We were in our last year of middle school, this woman appeared to at least be in high school, she was quite beautiful with long black hair, pale flawless skin and considerable curves. She looked familiar to me as we approached and finally it hit me “Val?” slipped out of my lips Valery Heart, She was a distant friend. A Goth, she wasn’t quite in our companion clique but was a friend… she thought I was cool because my dad was a mortician and scary.
  132. The woman… Val’s lips drew into a smile as she greeted us as she got up from her throne.
  133.
  134. I asked her what the hell was going on, she just said it was wonderful. She had power, real power. She had the power of a god. She could do anything she wanted. She was remaking the school into something cooler.
  135. I then asked what happened to the rest of the students? She admitted she had set up a spell to teleport those she chose here and to place them in a trance. She said she thought it was a waste really to remake the school and to have the same crappy students. After she was done adjusting her surroundings she would adjust the students too.
  136.
  137. So yeah a friend from before I had awoken had just gained some of my power and was now quite drunk off of it.
  138.
  139. I asked why we weren’t included in the trance and she told me as if it were obvious that we were friends and she wanted to show off all the amazing things she could do now. She offered me whatever I wanted. She said I was already beautiful but she could create gold, jewelry. She could turn people I didn’t like into pigs.
  140.
  141. I just sighed and told her to stop. She blinked and crooked her head “Pardon.” She asked I told her to please stop. I told her no matter how great these new powers were, it didn’t give her the right to use them on innocent people.
  142.
  143. Well I must have said the magic word because her face sort of scrunched up in agitation. She told me none of these students were innocent, they looked down on her, they treated her like dirt or almost as bad completely ignored her. She interjected that they were like her parents.
  144.
  145. I asked what she had done to her parents. She told me she had made some adjustments to make them perfect parents. So they couldn’t disagree with her and would devote their lives to making her happy. I pointed out that was the perfect slave not parent
  146.
  147. She seemed kind of confused and a little angry and said it was almost as if I thought what she was doing was wrong.
  148.
  149. I sighed and tried to gently explain that no matter what power she had or gained she didn’t have a right to alter other people. What she had done to herself was fine, what she did to her parents and what she was planning to do to the other students was not.
  150.
  151. She looked a mixture of hurt and angry and yelled that she thought I was cool but I was just like everyone else and tried to hit us with that combined teleport trance spell. I blocked the spell and telepathically asked my companions to let me handle this.
  152.
  153. She was stunned to find that I had the power to block her spell saying You… you have powers. I told her she wasn’t the only one who came into their own recently. She asked me then why I was opposing her. We could rule together.
  154.
  155. I told her I was trying to stop her because I was her friend and it’s a friend’s job to tell someone when what they are doing was wrong. I was happy that she had gained power and could do all of these amazing things but it still didn’t make what she was doing right. I asked her if one of the people she had put into a trance had gotten this power would she be ok with them changing her to be how they wanted her to be. She seemed genuinely shocked and repulsed by what she had done.
  156.
  157. I told her it was alright we would fix everything. Teleporting all of the students out front and breaking the trance was monotonous but we managed it. We also dispelled the strange weather and aura of spookiness. Val refused to undo the changes to her body, I told her that was fine but she might want to go with normal clothes as the sexy witch outfit she was wearing was going to get all the wrong sort of attention, though honestly her new body was going to attract quite a bit of attention.
  158.
  159. We managed to straighten things out at school… somehow. With all the teachers and students coming awake in front of the school missing time it led to some… interesting speculation. Some thought It was aliens, others thought it was a supervillain’s actions, others thought that this was the result of some kid gaining new uncontrolled powers.
  160.
  161. Anyways we managed to convince the rest of the school that Val was actually Val. It was disturbingly easy actually. In another world, if she just woke up with a body that was a few years older and looked like that of a budding supermodel, absolutely no one would believe she was the same person without serious proof. In a world where superheroes exist that sort of stuff happens all the time. It was amusing, we didn’t even need Nekochan for this. It was just a few forms and a picture to go along with it and she was fine.
  162. She became very popular, especially with the boys. We had to step in at several points to save her as she was overwhelmed. After school we straightened things out with her parents. I was able to mostly fix what she had done as her mental manipulation had been crude at best. Her parents were a little less than thrilled to find out she had powers (they had forgotten she had tampered with their minds earlier). Super powers were kind of seen as a bad thing in this world at the moment. Then she made a few gold bars out of thin air and they seemed to reconsider.
  163.
  164. After all of that I was exhausted. Mash was very happy though, she told me that she was proud that I had settled things peacefully and helped Val out so much. I told her I was only being a responsible Senpai.
  165.
  166. It was after all of that I remembered I had an unreasonable request to dump in Nekochan’s lap. Nekochan was not only an epic overlord bard meaning she could craft stories that would live through the ages but she had a knack for having a knack on how to do just about everything.
  167.
  168. I told Nekochan I had a not so small favor to ask. She sighed and asked alright what it was. So I gave her a book on screenwriting and a bunch of stuff on Mr. Incredible and asked if she could turn this into a script for a major motion picture.
  169.
  170. She asked me, Really? You want me to write a screenplay for you. You’re going to make a movie? I told her it was one of the things I was going to do to bring back the heroes and make it a better world. She just sighed and shook her head. She then pointed out it took years to make a movie, it would take months to make a decent screenplay alone and I didn’t have that kind of time.
  171.
  172. I told her I had an idea. I would do it all on computer, I would use the time she spent making a screenplay to make an AI that could handle the graphical parts so they wouldn’t look like crap. After that it should be a matter of plugging in the screenplay and the AI should work at a super computer’s pace to finish the film.
  173.
  174. She snarked at me about how people love CGI. I sighed and told her mine would look real and asked her if she would help me she gave me an Uggghhh Fiiiine, just know you owe me big time for this.
  175.
  176. She then sighed and asked me if these people were really worth the effort. She told me that Iskandar was right for looking down at them. They had actual heroes protecting them and turned on them for a silly and inane reason.
  177.
  178. I admitted I didn’t know but I wanted to give them a chance to see if they could do better. She asked me if a movie was really going to do that, I told her it wasn’t just the movie that was just the final act. She gave me a quick hug and told me she was rooting for me, she would do her part.
  179.
  180. Next I went to see Iskandar, Nekochan’s father in this jump and the current cause of my predicament. He was a Bartender in this Jump. It was surprising because most heroes were given soul crushing jobs keeping them away from the action but Iskandar got a cool job.
  181.
  182. He welcomed me by offering me a coke since I was too young to drink and even if I wasn’t hadn’t been a fan of Alcohol. I took it and thanked him, so he asked me why I had come to visit. I told him I needed his help with something, he seemed both amused and curious about this. I told him I needed to design a learning AI, I had done it before but for reasons I was crunched for time. He chuckled at that and mentioned that Nekochan had let him on to my plan.
  183.
  184. I assured him the movie wasn’t all I was doing. He stopped me to tell me he had always loved great tales of heroes, especially in his youth. It had been inspiring to him. He told me he would be happy to help and he hoped the movie turned out great. I asked him if he truly hated the people of this world. He said he didn’t. He saw a people that had lost their way and were in dire need of guidance. They had thrown away something that showed they could be better than they were. Society needed heroes. People needed others to look up to and to inspire them. He said one way or another he was sure he would be satisfied with the results.
  185.
  186. The next moves I made were to acquire a PR Firm. At this point the people at my companies just are used to unusual demands like that so they just do it assuming it’s part of some greater plan which is usually was. Well usually; I make no apologies for the private waterpark. It was a great place to hold meetings and reward hard working employees. Of course I could have just hired the firm like a sane person but at this point I find it’s better to own. However a PR Firm really needs a product to sell… That was something I would have to manage later. This part of the plan was a bit out of my hands.
  187.
  188. Later I gathered Val and My Girlfriends together after school and suggested we form a super team like a Teen Titans to flaunt the law and show that the world still needed heroes. I told them that I had a feeling Super Villain crime was going to explode soon and it would likely be more than the cops alone could handle.
  189.
  190. Val loved the idea but wanted us to have a base that was dark and spooky like a castle or something. I told her if things work out I would build her a castle. Mash was concerned because it was against the law and she didn’t want us to get in trouble. Dear Sweet Mash, always the good girl. I told her we were under age at most we would get a slap on the wrist if we got caught.
  191.
  192. Nekochan was still grumbling about all the work I had dropped on her lap and told me she was going to have to do interviews with the people involved in “my little project” to make it work. I told her I understood and she didn’t have to worry. I wasn’t expecting much help from her on this project; I just wanted to keep her in the loop.
  193.
  194. Arcueid didn’t seem to care, she asked if she could be a magic girl. I told her she could dress however she wanted though I did request a domino mask at the least to hide her identity.
  195.
  196. Val was eager to get out there and fight crime. She was excited to use her powers. She was a little less enthused when I told her no, first we would be training her, and getting her a costume. Then we fight crimes.
  197.
  198. Val complained she could raise the dead so she didn’t have to worry about making mistakes. I was a little horrified but I asked how she had come across the knowledge she could do that. She told me she was trying to dissuade her parents from eating meat so she raised a Steak. It turned into a cow and caused a lot of chaos, breaking a lot of things. I sighed and told Val, no bullying people with magic. She complained she wasn’t. I just repeated myself and she pouted. Needless to say I decided to add some ethics training into Val’s training regimen.
  199.
  200. Training was… well it was a pain but we did it so we could work reasonably well as a team. I contacted Edna Mode… I just wanted a suit for Val but she began asking me about my father. I brought up that we were making a team and somehow we all ended up with new suits specialized for our powers. I guess that’s what happens when you bring Edna Mode into things. She seemed happy.
  201.
  202. All of this also gave me time to start mass producing disguised drones to cover the city. They looked like and acted like birds but were hooked up to a copy of an AI I had used before. So any crime in the city that happened we heard about.
  203.
  204. We started with small crimes first, Purse Snatchings, saving cats from trees, etc. I wanted to ease the group in. While I was doing this I was doing a two-fold attack on the no capes law. I had several stories pointing out the increase in crime since the heroes had left and I had the stories of mysterious costumed teens performing acts of heroism. The crime rate stories were well received; people always love to bitch about how things have gotten worse. The random acts of heroism got a tepid reception.
  205.
  206. During this time I was able with Iskandar to get the AI going and begin to have it learn how to make graphics… I gave it a few scripts I had purchased along with the voices and pictures of some actors I had hired, combined with a 3d model of the city I had created from spying on everything and It churned out a couple movies in a few days… Unfortunately they were kind of … bad. The acting was stale with little emotion, the graphics were ok but neither of the scripts called for much in the way of special effects. I decided to take a chance and cross reference the movie AI with the data from the spy AI so it could learn how people actually acted and looked.
  207.
  208. After our meeting Nekochan asked to talk with me alone. I assumed it was about her repayment. Honestly I was a little worried. Nekochan is wild (and perverted) and I had no idea what effect this repayment was going to have on me or the world we were in for that matter. However she told me that I didn’t have to worry about repaying her for her work, which made me relieved. Then she asked me if I would bear her child. I sighed, it was a conversation we had actually had many times. It always went the same way too. I would love to have a child but jumping is too dangerous to raise a family. However before things could go that way she reminded me something had changed. We now had the Nomanisan Island… An island far away from civilization enough to be safe and where all my off duty companions where. It was a place I considered reasonably safe now that I thought about it. As if to head off any other possible debate Nekochan told me she had already discussed it with my other girlfriends and they were excited about it.
  209.
  210. I told her I was a little young in this body to carry and give birth to a child but I would be a few years. She smiled and giggled and told me it was worth the wait. I was a little nervous about this but I did have some years to prepare myself for it.
  211.
  212. The time for our little group to act on a big crime came sooner than I thought. Over my spy network and the police radio came a call of a bank robbing. The suspect was confirmed to have powers and the police were overmatched.
  213.
  214. So we went out to go face our first super villain. I managed to convince the rest of the gang to let me go first since I was the best trained to handle this. I would draw the suspect’s attention, Val and the rest would sneak in with magic and get the rest of the people out.
  215.
  216. This was a bank in the higher end part of the city.
  217.
  218. The cops had the bank surrounded but seemed reluctant to push forward. It didn't take long to see that the main door was covered with webbing… very familiar looking webbing. I was invisible so the cops didn’t notice me. I cast a spell that let me walk through the door. Better to keep the cops out of this for the moment.
  219.
  220. Once I got in I found a crowd of people cowering to one side of the room. An African American man wearing a green hooded jacket and green domino mask seemingly ranting in the middle of the room.
  221.
  222. As I entered he immediately stopped and turned to me asking what we had here. Acting as if he was aware I was there. I dropped my invisibility and walked in.
  223.
  224. He said that it looked like we had a little girl playing hero.
  225.
  226. I told him I wasn’t playing, that I was a hero. He laughed and said that it was alright he was Robin Hood and he was making a withdrawal. I asked him shouldn’t he have a bow with that name but he said he took it because he was going to steal from the rich and give to the poor.
  227.
  228. I asked him if he was really interested in helping people. Ughhh he then began to go into a long speech about how things were unfair, how society was set up to keep the poor down and how he was going to try and inspire others to throw off the yoke of the rich and rise up and claim what is rightfully theirs.
  229.
  230. Thankfully he was so caught up explaining things he didn’t seem to notice that my companions teleported in and escorted the people stuck in here out through a portal.
  231.
  232. I told him, while society wasn’t fair this was the wrong way to go about it, robbing a bank just made him look like a thief and wouldn’t inspire anyone. No matter how much he professed he was using the money for a good cause it wouldn’t win people's respect.
  233.
  234. He laughed at me and asked me about how the heroes had won respect, he pointed out that right now we were both technically criminals.
  235.
  236. Seeing as the others had cleared out the last of the potential hostages. I told him, he was right, we were both criminals but only one of us is going to jail. I said getting into a martial arts stance.
  237.
  238. He told me I was about to learn a harsh lesson about stepping into the adult world where I didn’t belong and got into the same stance. Somehow I guessed not only did he have my Spider powers but at least the martial arts from my time with batman as well. That made him much more dangerous.
  239.
  240. My spider sense tingled as he launched webs at me while charging forward trying to use his size and strength against me. I dodged the webbing with ease with my new speed and swept his legs though it did no good as he somersaulted backwards easily and regained his stance.
  241.
  242. I was expecting him to rush me again but he paused, seeming to take things in. He told me that I had far more skill and ability than my age would suggest. He said as we slowly circled around each other looking for an opening. Then he stopped and smiled. He told me that while this was fun, since my little friends had already cleared out the people there wasn’t much reason for him to stay around. That surprised me apparently he wasn’t as oblivious as he seemed. He put his hands up like he was going to surrender but had something in his hand which dropped. It turned out to be a homemade flash bang grenade. On instinct I leapt away from it and him and he leapt back landing near a window which he launched a web line out to swing away. It was a bit of cheating but I stopped time and used telekinesis to drag him back and tied him up. To be fair he cheated first with the flash bang.
  243.
  244. He was surprised as time started up again but his shock quickly gave way to calm as I could tell he was studying me. “Did you just stop time?” he asked. I said no, that would be impossible… Something in his eyes, the scrutiny he was giving me then told me he was going to be a problem in the future.
  245.
  246. Apparently the cops must have heard the flashbang because they chose that moment to start breaking in. That meant it was my time to go. I teleported out.
  247.
  248. With that done my companions and I met up afterwards to see how things had gone. Val was complaining about her role being so small but I informed her we were dealing with an unknown criminal and it was better to be cautious. She just groaned at me rolling her eyes and gave me a “Fiiiiine… ” Teenagers…
  249.
  250. Anyways after that we returned to my home to see on the news how the news reported it. We got a tiny blurb of a story about a mysterious team of teen heroes taking down a villain dubbed the jade spider. I guess they must have agreed the Robin Hood name was stupid.
  251.
  252. Valery and a few of my companions were upset that we got such a small part in the news. a few of them complaining that they waited so long for just that but for me it was fine.
  253.
  254. Eventually it came time to test the Movie AI again. This time… The graphics were good, the acting was good. However those had been such a big issue that I hadn’t picked up the cinematography was kind of crap. Also… Music, there was none. I downloaded a bunch of classes in directing into the AI as well as some classing movies and hoped for the best. I decided music could be edited in later. It was an important part of setting a scene's mood but for right now it would have to wait.
  255.
  256. It was about the time I was sorting the problem out with the movie that I got a call from Nekochan. She had tracked down Robert Parr with my help (I had used my investigation skills to locate him, which wasn’t easy from how many times he was relocated and how hard they tried to cover his tracks.) Apparently at first he was not thrilled about being found, understandably. However Nekochan managed to put him at ease. Anyways while leery at first about the movie he became rather excited about it when we told him we wouldn’t be revealing his identity. That was all well and good except he wanted to help… He was expecting there to be sets and a director and an actual movie being produced. I pointed out we had a script. We would get him the script so he could look it over and give us his input.
  257.
  258. She was a little leery about that. Apparently the script she was writing was focused at least half on a normal human police officer and the drama of his life interacting with Mr Incredible and his biggest cases. Also some incidents were combined for drama or facts were changed.
  259.
  260. I sighed and told her it was fine, everything would be fine. I told her to explain things first before sending over the script. If he still insists on being a part of it beyond that we can bring him in and show him the AI and explain the process.
  261.
  262. She said she would but warned she thought this was going to be a complication. I kind of agreed but it couldn’t be helped. It would be hard to have a Mr. Incredible movie that he didn’t endorse or was actively against.
  263.
  264. Speaking of complications… One day just out of nowhere an Angel Appeared in the sky. He called himself Uriel, the angel of judgment and said he was here to pass judgement upon humanity for their selfish and sinful ways.
  265.
  266. Well Uriel apparently judged humanity poorly as obliterated City hall with one of one blast from his scepter. Mysteriously no one was killed directly but a few died in car crashes below.
  267.
  268. He landed upon the ruins and began to rant/minister how humanity had gone wrong.
  269.
  270. I recognized the powers as my own and it looked like he had gotten quite a bit of my magic so I knew this was going to get ugly. I tried to hurriedly gather everyone together including our “parents” for a fight before the other heroes showed up but we were too late.
  271.
  272. By the time we got there Mr. Incredible, Frozone, Elastagirl, Gazerbeam and several other heroes had confronted Uriel and been defeated; they were still alive thankfully but trapped. He ranted against them for their crime of hubris.
  273.
  274. We carved out a rough plan. It would be like the bank. I would draw the guy's attention and feel him out while the others freed the heroes, then we would try and coordinate to bring this guy down… That was the plan… Val apparently had a different one as she started off trying to blast him. Unfortunately for her he blocked it with a barrier and I was only barely able to save her ass with my new super speed. Before I could ask her what the hell she was doing she decided to summon a huge earth elemental to try and squash him. That kept him busy for about a minute as he took to the air and blasted it then tried to blast us. I threw up a barrier which only just stopped him as Val looked on in horror as the idea that there may be things stronger than her finally dawned on her.
  275.
  276. Uriel was shouting at us as practitioners of the black arts that we must be punished. I told Val to teleport away she did and then I was left alone to face the rampaging Angel… or so I thought suddenly he was forced to block a barrage of arrows from Arash and Emiya, then he barely dodged A chunk of Concrete that had been flung by Mr. Incredible. That Distracted him long enough for Arcueid to slam into him with a kick that sent him to the ground hard. Before he could regain his footing Elastigirl snuck around and wrapped him up. He was quickly disarmed of his Scepter. I quickly used a binding spell making sure to bind his arms, legs, wings and mouth with golden bands of light So Elastigirl could let go.
  277.
  278. With Uriel contained, a few heroes were wary about sticking around and took off. Those that I could name and those that came with me stayed.
  279.
  280. To the cops credit it wasn’t long before they showed up complete with gear to secure Uriel, including his mouth.
  281.
  282. With the cops was a middle aged man with a big nose who I recognized from the movie as being with the government and dealing with the covering up of Super Heroic screw-ups.
  283.
  284. He just looked at all of us, sighed and rubbed his temples. He then greeted everyone gathered. He thanked everyone for their service and promised that no one here would be held responsible for breaking the law as thanks for taking care of that menace. He also told us that the government turning a blind eye to the heroes was a one time thing. He then looked specifically at us and said so take this as a warning to stop.
  285.
  286. I thanked him for the warning but refused. He rubbed the bridge of his nose for a moment and sighed. He told me playing hero was against the law and it was time to stop before someone got hurt.
  287.
  288. I told him to wait and spoke to everyone gathered there. I noticed a few video cameras of TV stations were on me so I hammed it up. I told them that the world needed heroes, today had proven that sadly the cops were not equipped to handle every problem that turned up in the world. Today we met an enemy greater than any we had faced thus far however there was no guarantee that he would be unique.
  289.
  290. We did not know when the next Super Villain would strike but it was growing clearer by the day that there would be more. It was also growing clear by the day that the law against supers was short sighted and did not work. It was only through the quick actions of those gathered here that the loss of life had been minimal. It was time for things to change. The world needed their heroes back. With that I turned and left.
  291.
  292. With that done I had to have a word with Val. I found her where we agreed to meet after the battle. She winced when I called her as if she was expecting me to lay into her. I sighed and I asked her if she saw now the reason for all the training that we had done, and the planning. She sheepishly nodded. I told her I hoped she had learned a lesson. She had put both her own life and mine at unnecessary risk but things had worked out this time. I told her let’s not have a next time. She grimaced and nodded. I told her it had been a long day, go home and get some rest. She looked surprised and asked if that was it. I told her yeah that’s it… well except I was going to train her rear off to make sure she doesn’t screw up again. She seemed less enthused to hear that but left.
  293.
  294. The news that night was interesting. My speech had been picked up and was played on every major news station. It’s funny all the trouble I had gone to trying to do this and that to increase the heroes popularity to overturn the law against them… and an off the cuff speech in the right moment blew them all away. It didn’t hurt that a godlike madman had almost taken over the city.
  295.
  296. There were already calls to lift the ban on supers. People were both inspired and scared and wanted their heroes back.
  297.
  298. It was funny I had intended the movie to be the last push but it looked like it wouldn’t be needed now. Still I wasn’t going to disappoint the movie AI…
  299.
  300. Speaking of which It had apparently evolved in a way. It wanted to see more complete movies now before it would continue work on creating them. I loaded up dozens of movies of different genres like the original ghostbusters, the star wars trilogy, and a few Hitchcock films. Being a super computer and an AI It devoured them almost instantly. I wound up having to get it access to all of the streaming services so it could get all the media it wanted.
  301.
  302. I was starting to feel bad for the AI honestly, it’s main purpose was to create a piece of propaganda for my cause… which apparently didn’t need it anymore. Which means It was now just making a movie to make a movie.
  303.
  304. At least the cause was going well. When you have a social movement behind you, things can change very quickly.
  305.
  306. We continued to fight crime; Val… seemed to straighten out. Ironically once I trusted her more I was able to let her do more. Super villain crime also increased with a fair amount of them having stuff that was familiar to me. Thankfully most were manageable as Monsters on the level of Uriel were thankfully rare. Also several heroes came back.
  307.
  308. Several new heroes emerged as well… including Syndrome. I kept an eye on him because I knew he was a bastard. I still had a hacking AI on file and had scrying spells so soon I was able to gather what he was going to do. He was planning on staging a mass robot invasion which he would single handedly solve to prove he was the greatest hero. He intended to cause a prison break prior on the other side of the city to keep the heroes busy.
  309.
  310. We tipped off the other heroes that there was going to be an attempted prison break at that time and went as a team to his island and stopped his robots before they could launch. It was a touch and annoying battle because of the zero point energy rays. Thankfully we defeated him, captured him and then used the data from his computers to prove what he was up to. He wound up going away for a long time.
  311.
  312. Eventually the Law against supers was struck down, long before Iskandar’s deadline. So I took Iskandar aside and explained some things to him. First this was the last time I would accept an unreasonable ultimatum like this, the only reason I had was the people did kind of deserve it. However while there were worlds I had no problem with him conquering… like if we ever wound up in marvel, he was welcome to it. However we wouldn’t be conquering every world, some worlds didn’t need it and if he was unhappy with that then maybe he needed to rethink if he wanted to travel with me.
  313.
  314. He laughed and slapped me on the back so hard I stumbled and said he had wondered when I would grow to be a true leader. He told me that a real leader has to know when to reign in those that follow them. He seemed… proud of me for standing up to him. He agreed to my terms and said that he had enjoyed the journey so far and would enjoy both exploring and conquering as we went along.
  315.
  316. I was kind of shocked but happy that he was happy. It was a relief that I wouldn’t be losing him as a companion.
  317.
  318. Sometimes in life it seems for every good thing that happens something bad comes along. This time we got word of a prison break specifically the jade spider and Uriel…
  319.
  320. Uriel after his assault on the city had been kept in an induced coma because everyone was terrified of him and what he might do if he could speak or maybe just move his fingers. The entire city went on high alert when he vanished. Most people would have been forgiven for not even noticing the Jade Spider was gone. I had a bad feeling about things so my companions and I joined the hunt. Through my detective skills I was able to find out that indeed it seems both of them were freed by someone else using the same means.
  321.
  322. We were not far along in our investigation when we were attacked by robots… Specifically magic robots. Ones that were created through overlord crafting and had to be approaching level 100.
  323.
  324. They put up a tough fight and seemed to be targeting both Valery and myself specifically.
  325. Robots can be tricky to fight, We had thought we had defeated them, one was torn in half… well it’s top half was apparently operational enough that during the fight it reached out and grabbed Val and teleported away with her.
  326.
  327. I was able to track the teleport to an abandoned warehouse in the warehouse district. We arrived at what seemed to be an abandoned warehouse. We tried to sneak in but once we arrived we were greeted by blinding lights and a bombardment of sound that really hurt. We all lost consciousness.
  328.
  329. I woke up strapped to a gurney and tied down and an elderly man in a lab coat announced himself as Dr. Morbid. He explained that about a half a year ago he had been a scientist when suddenly he found his intellect and scientific abilities had been vastly improved. Beyond that he found that he could craft things that defied all laws of physics reaching into the realm of the supernatural. It was not long until he heard of others who had similar experiences of powers suddenly emerging. Through long analysis he had discovered that most of these people radiated a strange sort of energy. Through observation he had tracked me down as the largest source of that energy.
  330.
  331. I would love to say I had something witty to say but my mouth was gagged and I was pretty much at his mercy at this point… Noting the name I wasn’t expecting much mercy honestly.
  332.
  333. However he told me not to worry he would not risk damaging me just yet, I was too precious to his research. Currently he was working on trying to extract the energy from the one called Uriel. He would then thoroughly examine my companions to see what could be gained from them.
  334.
  335. I fought and strained against the bindings of my gurney but he told me that it was hopeless they were strong enough to contain even someone as strong as Mr. Incredible. With that he left me. Alone, I looked around the room and saw it was filled with various scientific looking equipment. Unfortunately I didn’t see a way out… until I heard someone clear their throat and looked up to see the Jade Spider (formerly known as Robin Hood). He put his finger to his lips to tell me to be quiet as he began to undo my straps.
  336.
  337. He whispered that the good doctor had collected him with Uriel and a few other subjects; however since he found the amount of energy he put out to be minor he was not of much interest, he had managed to convince Doctor Morbid that he would be willing to help him in his research. However he said the Doctor was a nut who he wanted no part of and that we better move fast before he figured out what was going on.
  338.
  339. I decided to trust him and together we went to confront Dr. Morbid. He told me that we didn’t have enough time to free my companions. Dr. Morbid was experimenting on Uriel right now so that was the only reason he was able to free me.
  340.
  341. Together we found Dr. Morbid operating some equipment that seemed to be pulling something out of Uriel. The way he was screaming I wouldn’t have been surprised if it was his soul. Morbid had a disturbing joyful grin as he worked.
  342.
  343. I was about to resolve the situation with magic like any good jumper would when my body was suddenly wracked with pain.
  344.
  345. Calmly Dr. Morbid turned, not surprised at all that I was there. He explained he had placed a few devices within my body as insurance in case I managed to escape. He then turned to the Jade Spider and told him how disappointed he was in him.
  346.
  347. The Jade Spider told him he was a sick bastard and a nut. He didn’t need more power, he was looking to empower others. And with that The jade spider jumped at him only for swarms of robots to emerge between them. I managed to fight through the pain while the jade spider kept the robots and the Dr busy to try and find an emergency off switch and release my other companions. As luck would have it I managed to find them. The jade spider was quickly overwhelmed by robots which then began to approach me menacingly. The Doctor asked me what I really hoped to accomplish. About then my Companions and Val rushed into the room but they were quickly shown to be similarly impaired.
  348. I told him, I wasn’t here alone and my friends would see me through. He laughed and pointed out they were all similarly hampered as I was. I then swapped my companions out for my inactive companions. This surprised everyone including the formerly inactive companions and I shouted stop him. This led to several Nanoha style blasts hitting him and his robots. Apparently the good doctor had only the durability of a Normal Human as this put him out and messed up his robots pretty good.
  349.
  350. After I gave an explanation to my confused companions we captured the Doctor, we left the power blockers in Uriel and turned him back over to the police and used the Doctors notes on how to deactivate and remove the implants. A few of my companions complained about not getting off the island enough and the fact I had made the guys all too old for them. I promised to work things out. The Jade Spider seemed at this point not even surprised by all this. I thanked him for his help and chose to let him go. He mentioned something about getting the hell out of this city as he left. Honestly I couldn’t blame him.
  351.
  352. Eventually Nekochan finished her screenplay and by that time the computer was ready (It had made a few movies by that point, they did quite well) It didn’t take long for the AI to crank out the movie and Nekochan graciously did the music for it. We released it as a Summer Blockbuster and… With super heroes being in and a fresh topic this thing became an unstoppable beast at the box office topping all of summer blockbusters. Which meant I was immediately getting calls about “So when are you going to start on the sequel?”. At that point I was done with the movies. I sold off the company. The AI… well it wanted a body. So I wound up giving it one.
  353.
  354. Unfortunately it wound up going a little crazy because it wanted real life to be better… more like a movie. He became sort of a Super villain kind of… most of his crimes though were trying to force people to do things over again, only this time the way he thought it should be done. (Telling people to say what they just said but with more emotion, Or say something else instead as it would sound more genuine) Eventually I moved him to the Island from Catastrophe and gave him a set of robots that would follow his instructions exactly. I think he just spent his days happily directing out there. We are trying to work to fix him but it seems that’s going to be a long term project.
  355.
  356. Things calmed down a bit eventually, with the heroes back the crime rate dropped even with some new villains with portions of my power. Eventually I turned 18… I retired officially as a hero. I had put off my promise to Nekochan for long enough.
  357.
  358. I can say without a doubt that becoming a parent wound up to be both the scariest and greatest adventure of my journey. Little Robin has been a handful but a wonderful one. She seems to have inherited Nekochan’s zest for life as well as her charm. She already has the rest of my companions and I wrapped around her finger. Also keeping a genius child contained and entertained is a handful. Trying to keep her out of dangerous stuff has become… difficult. She isn’t even 5 yet and is already a technical genius and a powerful wizard in her own right. This means a lot of dangerous things simply had to be banished from the island for fear of her getting into them. We tried to keep her away from fire magic and other dangerous things but wouldn’t you know it she figured them out on her own. We only lost a few small structures that day. It was a lesson for all of us.
  359.
  360. Before I was afraid for her in whatever world we wound up in. Now I am not so sure any world will be able to handle her.
