Kiss Prompt February (29; mykr)

[ 29. a kiss as a promise feat. mayakuro ]

Earlier this night, the living room is occupied with two girls, the girl in long black hair and star pin and the byzantium-haired bespectacled girl, passionately talking about Shakespeare's works over chocolate truffles and warm chocolate drinks. After these two literal girls, another two girls observed them with glee as the Shakespeare girls rarely seen to be together.

Around this time of night, Maya actually wanted to read a book until late. Seeing the somewhat crowded living room, the brunette didn't want to bother the two (four?) of them and moved back to her room to read.

The reading was what she had initially planned, yet, Maya is stopped as a presence of blonde-haired girl is standing tall in the hallway of second floor. Claudine usually is clad in her sweater and pants around this hour, so is Maya try to remember, but the half-French descent was there in her cream-colored nightgown.

By the frown glazed on her face, Maya wondered whether the latter is deep in thinking, troubled by something that makes her pacing out in the hallways.

"Saijou-san?"

"Oh." fraction of her facial expression softened. "Speak of the devil."

Maya cocked her head to the side. Did she happen to come at a bad timing?

"Here."

Oh.

Claudine handed a wrapped box to Maya. Her choice of wrapping is pastel pink color combined with sakura pink ribbon. Maya took the box for closer inspection, a bit puzzled at the sudden turn of events. The brunette didn't see Claudine holding the box at all, nor Maya could fathom the reason why Claudine gave her this cute box. There was also no follow up from Claudine, just a silence bested them.

Slowly, an awkward air sets in.

Claudine looked away for a moment, before eyeing back to the blinking lilac eyes belonged to the stunned Top Star. Claudine's cheeks were pinkish, similar to the color of the box. Maya noticed how Claudine's brow perked up, like that one moment when she's trying to make a bold acclamation, then again, her lips were hesitant. Claudine was hesitant to pick the right words, perhaps - Maya knew that Claudine is not the type to chicken out and retract a statement.

"I ... made it for you, Tendou Maya."

It's when everything clicks in Maya's mind - she was far too occupied in her thought of the night and mumbles of Shakespeare to forget the reality.

It must be /that/. Everyone talked a lot about making chocolates from time-to-time this month, after all.

Maya opened the box slowly. Claudine didn't disturb the process. The brunette tried not to tear the wrapping too much as it is cute and Claudine should've spend her time to wrap it nicely before giving it to Maya.

Beyond the pastel pink wrappings, lies a dark red box filled with small bite-sized chocolate hearts.

"I'm not the best patisserie, I know, but ..."

"It's already more than enough, Ma Claudine."

Claudine wanted to inquire what Maya had meant by that when Maya moved forward to claim her lips instead. A small kiss to simply feel; not too short to taste or too long to rob the air away from both of them. The chocolate box is safe, tucked behind Claudine's waist as Maya kept their frames as close as possible, nose to nose and breaths to breaths after the kiss.

"I'll make it up to you, Claudine." Maya whispered. "Until then, let that be a reminder."

Claudine let out a chuckle. "Hmph, how can you be so cheesy this late? Are those two Shakespeare-crazed heads getting into your brain?"

"Maybe."

They shared one peck in the silent hallway, before moving out to the room belonged to Saijou Claudine to spend the rest of the night.
