results: Relatively quick over USB (no capture card), wide angle but crappy lens blurs faces

Trial #2: Canon EOS 550D T2i with hacked firmware addon and AC adapter
Requires HDMI and a capture card (below)
result: great lens but overheated when left running for too long, not designed for this

Trial #3: Sony HD Video Recording HDRCX405 Handycam Camcorder

Requires HDMI and a capture card (below)
result: best low cost option so far! much better lens than the webcam, ~150ms lag over hdmi
drawback of hdmi/capture card is that unity currently can't import it so we have to use OBS to combine feeds, can't import webcam feed into the game anymore like we could with the webcam.
