  1. Conall Revels asks, "Khiii. Of greetings. Where is of Valentine?"
  2.
  3.
  4. Arthur Rowan says, "--Dead. Killed by Vampires."
  5.
  6. Bei Rowan says, "She-.."
  7. Bei nods silently to the Rowan.
  8. (Bei Rowan)
  9.
  10.
  11. Bei Rowan says, "I'm sorry, Conall."
  12. There is silence. The world around the Dryad is a bloody red hue. Hazel gems shirk their pupils in their sockets, vibrating back and forth. Malice stains the world like glass as jagged wooden teeth drag across each other. A chittering sound echoes in the cave as elongated fingernails curled by his side.
  13.
  14. He does not cry. But hatred writhes about him, not despair but a feeling most unknown.
  15.
  16. ".. Had of asked her to marry last time was of seeing her. Is of unhappy never got to hear 'yes'."
  17.
  18. The Dryad turns. Hazel is focused on the passageways to the north.
  19.
  20. "Is of knowing name of killer?"
  21. (Conall Revels)
  22.
  23. Arthur was there. He was exactly on the battlefield, and he's seen it all- from up in the skies, from the Storm he rode into battle, he saw all that happens, including the unfortunate event of Rea's death - something that he could do nothing about, considering the circumstances.
  24.
  25. "I believe it is one of the Invidia dogs. Corinth... I think."
  26.
  27. While he interacted less than enough with the Vampires to know them well, the bright appearances they often had could make them easily distinguishable among one another, and the Invidia ones were more than familiar to him. As a matter of fact, he could've sworn he's seen those, back when they stormed the city as four.
  28.
  29. "Least you intend to waltz into town and try to take him out alone, you may join us in the next battle against them."
  30.
  31. "Otherwise... good luck with your revenge. I'm not happy about Rea's death either."
  32.
  33. He was telling the truth, but there's lack of expression on his face as he says that - namely, because of the mask, of course. Besides, it'd seem he's holding onto his side, a bleeding wound inflicted by Count.
  34. (Arthur Rowan)
  35.
  36. "Is of thankful for name of Corinth."
  37.
  38. The ends of Reveler's mouth curl upwards into a hideous cruel thing. At once the blood that leaked from his eyes and from his nails stopped. The streams of crimson having finally run their course. A bloodlust radiates like none other, and the rivets of Insatiable seem almost to flex back and forth on the Dryad's back.
  39.
  40. "Is not of thinking will walk into their town. But are ways that Reveler can be of hunting what he wants. Has always hunted alone in the past.. Is of finding survives easiest when is of little weighed down.
  41.
  42. Will be of having luck on revenge. Do not be of worrying.
  43.
  44. Will be of blood."
  45.
  46. Bare feet gnaw at the dirt of the cave, carrying the Dryad away. With a sway of his hips, darkness accompanies elsewhere.
  47.
  48. "In end is of thinking was less of gem and more of light.
  49.
  50. Burned bright then went away. Is of shame."
  51. (Conall Revels)
  52.
  53. Your skin gradually softens back to its original state. (Stone Skin has worn off)
  54.
  55.
  56. Loss.
  57.
  58. She imagines that it would end something like this. She imagines that Rea would be the first one to leave her clutches, especially, after all of the secrets that they two had spoken. There was something oddly chilling about the death of her friend-- for it opened a silent void within the midst of her heart...Her breathing faltering, her hands pressing lightly into her features. She promises that she wouldn't cry. She promised that she wouldn't lose hope...That she wouldn't stop fighting for one of those that she had loved but...She couldn't help herself.
  59.
  60. Perhaps, the first sign of tears from the warrioress could be seen. They shed briefly...One, two...Several. And then, just as they come- they vanish. The bated breathes coming out....The memories of the two fighting with one another, speaking of gems and light...Even her comparing herself to Bei Bei at times. She knew...Knew that there was someone out there for everyone. But the worst is that she felt as if Rea had faced a death that no one would ever want to...
  61.
  62. Out within the snow, watching the ivory sky. Everything empty, everything chilled, and cold. She trembles at the moment, the silent ferocity blossoming into existence. She...Wishes to be the one to face against Corinth. She...Wishes to be the one to end the Invidia and all those that stand against her. The anger, the dying light could be seen within her own fluctuating wings...They flicker in and out of existence with her wavering emotions.
  63.
  64. But she wouldn't ask for help against the vampires.
  65. Nor would she really expect Conall to do anything. In the end, she merely prepares herself for all that is to come.
  66.
  67. "...I'm sorry." Is it to him or to Rea? hmm.
  68. (Bei Rowan)
  69.
  70. Anything that can possibly turn others against the Vampires was the part of his plan.
  71.
  72. Even though he bleeds, even if he feels the physical pain that strikes his body, there's a smile underneath his mask that prospers and blooms. It's the satisfactory from the fact that there's yet another powerful enemy that they gained, even if Reveler intended to only hunt a single Vampire.
  73.
  74. Because the only good Vampire is a dead one, and every single one of them counts.
  75.
  76. "I'm sure you will."
  77.
  78. But his voice has no enthusiasm. There's many more he would need to speak to soon enough, and many more that he would need to enlighten and turn against the Vampires, and this is just the beginning. Should they see selfish motive? Perhaps not all of them would be so keen to join the fight anymore.
  79.
  80. With that, he gave a signal to the other Valmasians, all to follow through with returning home.
  81.
  82. "Come on. We shall not linger here."
  83. (Arthur Rowan)
  84.
  85. Vincent reaches back to the party that was led here. He's huffing, puffing and eventually he's looking around trying to search for one person out of this.
  86.
  87. Rea.
  88.
  89. His (now) Mother that had been guiding him as her protegee and successor and what now? He's searching, but he can't find anything. A panicked look comes etched across his face as the burning anxiety in the back of his mind continues to crawl and scratch at him, a side effect of what happened from his fight before. Some sort of curse that he was stuck with. Wide eyes look from left to right.
  90.
  91. The only part he was even able to head was 'Rea's death...'
  92.
  93. Right from the mouth of Arthur. his eyes move over to spot Reveler's, trying to cope with what was going on, but there was no way that somebody like him would likely be a fatherly figure for him or a parental figure in the slightest. It was good that he was willing to get revenge, but what of Vincent? Her son. Adopted at least.
  94.
  95. 'Karma'
  96.
  97. A voice of a dead woman echoes in the back of his mind, an illusion his own mind played on itself. The voice of the woman that died at his hands continues to echo over and over throughout his mind. 'Deserving', 'Karma', 'What'd you expect?', 'Monster.'
  98.
  99. He nearly falls down, hands lifting up and grabbing at the sides of his head as he tried to shake said head, trying his best to get this voice of his head.
  100.
  101. 'I was proud of you.' The voice of Rea.
  102.
  103. "No!" He screams and closes his eyes, shivering in the spot he is, cowering, trying to lift his body up, but he seems to be in shock. Do tears even fall for a boy like himself? Would tears ever fall for him ever again?
  104.
  105. He tries, but he can't. His hands hit the ground, his aura starts to lift up and spread out, he's just slamming his hand into the ground now, trying to believe it isn't so. Another Mother lost. More suffering from the gods above. This was something he can't avoid, but he's down and out.
  106.
  107. "Right." He croaks out, lifting his body up, a stream of tears seen, but truly does he deserve that right after what he did? After the acts he's taken? Is this guilt? Or is he just understanding what it means to be a monster?
  108.
  109. <You foretold this and now it happens. Focus on us, Yuutsu.>
  110.
  111. 'Why'd you kill me? I had children?'
  112.
  113. \You're my protegee.\
  114.
  115. His head shakes and he moves forward, trying to sort out his thoughts, even with this spell casted on him.
  116. (Vincent Valenta)
  117.
  118.
  119. Vincent Valenta says, "Avenge my mother."
  120.
  121. Arthur Rowan says, "Oh that we shall."
  122.
  123. "We've lost someone of extreme importance today. A fellow knight in arms-....Someone who had an incomparable faith within Azrael and the Dreamer and devoutly followed his works to become something more. I imagine that we've all come from this-..bloodied and broken but...In the end, do know something." She keeps herself still, despite the tears that occurred at first, she would control herself. The rage, the anger, the frustration-...It all becomes kept within her beating heart, where it soon, would be embraced. "This is not the end." She states, her teeth baring down upon the bottom of her lip, believing that pain, would stop the tears from flowing.
  124.
  125. "This is not the end." It is repeated. "We might've not gotten what we've wanted but we've taken much more from them than they have taken from us. Remember who we are-...Remember what we stand for- and know that Valmasia never dies." Her blade stabs into the ground, her cerulean hues flickering out to those that are around.
  126.
  127. "Loss happens, but despite all of that...Rea's death will not be in vain. And she will not be forgotten." It twists briefly, the cobblestone crumbling underneath the weight of her blade. "Let it be known that we'll be fighting again and again until they give in." Now, it's an oathe. She will fight until the end..
  128.
  129. She will fight until she no longer can.
  130. It's a promise.
  131. (Bei Rowan)
  132.
  133. "Maybe. But I hope you're not taking this too literal."
  134.
  135. The kitsune rubs his cheek, quite unsure as to whether or not she was.
  136. (Ludovic Grauhimmel)
  137.
  138. He's about exactly the same.
  139.
  140. The news of Rea's death plagued his heart and mind just as much as it plagued hers, but the grief and sadness was replaced by exaggerated bloodlust and hatred towards Vampires and everything that they stand for. It's an oath to become something stronger, something better - something that would be enough to take them all down, to purge them from the face of Agartha.
  141.
  142. "Her death was not in vain."
  143.
  144. "She served Valmasia faithfully and loyally, and she'll be missed. For every bit of pain caused to her, I will kill a dozen of their own."
  145.
  146. "And so far, I've counted enough to wipe them off. Permanently."
  147.
  148. Although caked in blood, both his own and Count's, the Adjudicator stands as still and as unmoving as a mountain would- there's strength in the pain he feels, and power he draws from welling rage that he experiences towards these creaturesof the Night.
  149.
  150. But there's one he wishes dead the most - Lucien.
  151.
  152. "We'll have their heads on spikes. Soon."
  153. (Arthur Rowan)
  154.
  155. The Inquisitor first stood there silently, waiting for Bei to speak, mirror-like silvery eyes set upon the woman. She wasn't very familiar with Rea, just as she isn't very familiar with Bei-- but those are occasions where respect is shown regardless, especially for a fellow valmasian. Her expression remained somber as the gaze averted towards the grass, taking a deep sigh.
  156.
  157. Ultimately, however, Astaria knew that this was exactly what she signed up for, and this was exactly what she thought a valmasian colony would look like. Her eyes darted to the Adjudicator as he spoke, a polite curtsy made to him before she took a step forward, as if signaling that she would speak.
  158.
  159. .. "adjudicator" ..
  160.
  161. Once she decided to speak up, her voice echoed from the entirety of her body, as usual, her lips unmoving. Surrounded with that raw energy around her, though silvery in colour, the Neries walked up towards the Adjudicator; upon her shoulder was a corpse that was remarkably well preserved, considering that it had fallen in combat-- a ghoul's body, that of Kathryn Graves. Bending her knees slightly, the woman gently places the corpsed on the grass; there were some visible burns from the cosmic magic that it had hit her, but none of them had been fatal.
  162.
  163. What killed her was mana siphoning. Not visible on the corpse.
  164.
  165. .. "one of their fallen. what to do with the remains is your decision" ..
  166. (Astaria Rosenkreuz)
  167.
  168. The guardian ritual in this area has expired!
  169.
  170. You have left a Guardian Ritual: 15% flee roll penalty removed!
  171.
  172. Icarus Lelhua whispers something.
  173.
  174. Asteria Rosenkreuz whispers something.
  175.
  176. Nihilexia stood in silent pain as she watched the bodies be brought up, having heard the tail end of Beis speech she found a silent fury within herself. At the worst of times she found herself weak and unable to do right by the Valmasians, even as a necromancer she'd managed to fail them.
  177.
  178. Her eyes flicker towards Gideon in disdain for but a moment though she turns back towards Arthur.
  179. (Nihilexia Wight)
  180.
  181. Asteria Rosenkreuz whispers something.
  182.
  183. Zoldak Lelhua whispers something.
  184.
  185. Katrin tilted her head, other than that, there was not much reaction from the little maid. Though she did turn to Asteria. "Greetings lady Asteria." she then turned back to face Astaria.
  186. (Katrin Weiner)
  187.
  188. Asteria Rosenkreuz whispers something.
  189.
  190. Icarus Lelhua whispers something.
  191.
  192. Nihilexia Wight whispers something.
  193.
  194. Asiro felt the presence of another from beneath his layers of robes. Magic energy would begin to flow from the boy, flicking out.
  195. "Hello there, friend." he'd speak out softly.
  196. (Asiro Katamo)
  197.
  198. The Neries offered a kind smile on her face, flaunting a compliment with her right hand as she took a couple of steps closer to the maid; her charming smile never faltering, for apparently it would take quite a lot to even make this young woman to stop smiling the way she was.
  199.
  200. "Good afternoon, Miss Weiner. I can see it was a busy day for my sister and you; though we got some visits." she said with a gesture towards Zoldak and the younger kid, motioning her head back towards the Neries speaking to Arthur. "But that, oh, that will certainly wait for a few more moments."
  201. (Asteria Rosenkreuz)
  202.
  203. Such venomous anger spilling out, After the battle it was only way others could cope with the loss of a Knight but Gideon was far more trained in the way of loss. Even the strongest fall if given the correct opponent thus why now more than ever there needed to be a adjustments to the over all plan.
  204.
  205. Gideon couldn't really relate with the loss of Rea she was to him nothing more than a fellow compatriot. But losing her meant a significant loss in Dawns power something he would have to adjust.
  206.
  207. " Its time we actually put a plot together to defeat the vampires, This raid wasn't as successful as we wanted it to be but there are things we can do to ensure our victory for the next battle. Necromancy is the answer Arthur. We can put our differences aside for this common enemy, If you're willing to work alongside me to accomplish my plans."
  208.
  209. He stood stout and tall, Not really one to show emotion beyond his former self now instead his body reeked of a strange coldness not in the sense of temperature but in the sense of a chaotic nature that sometimes funneled into the area around him.
  210.
  211. "If the words spoke here about Rea are to not be taken in vain then let us do something to show the vampires we will retaliate at full force and hold nothing back any longer. That's my offer to you as the leader, Whether or not you take it is your choice but I will continue on despite your aide. or anyone's for that matter. I work for Azrael ultimately and as long as Dawn is a foot hold to Valmasia and Azrael I will have to put some effort into protecting it."
  212.
  213. He crossed his arms looking towards Arthur for a moment wondering what he would choose to do next.
  214. (Gideon Ruger)
  215.
  216.
  217. Katrin Weiner asks, "And how have you been today lady Asteria?"
  218. Oh, this is almost perfect.
  219.
  220. Just as Arthur thought of idea to put the heads on spikes, there's an example to be made- and the opportunity presents itself, along with the many other bodies they got from the raid on Vampires. The countless Servants that were not magi could hardly be important, but the body of a Ghoul, someone that had a master?
  221.
  222. This will sting.
  223.
  224. "Hah... ahah…" - a muffled, almost distorted voice speaks from beneath the mask, before he reaches out to the body, and almost yanks it from Astaria. - "Thank you. This is appreciated."
  225.
  226. Long before there's any action done, the Adjudicator seemingly inflicts the rotting decay upon the flesh of a body in his hands- to be exact, the neck seems to go dark, black with destruction even. There's a firm grip he plants on top of the head, by the woman's hair, and--
  227.
  228. -- he tears her head off from the body.
  229.
  230. "This shall make a fine warning to all those that associate themselves with Vampires."
  231.
  232. Soon, he hands the head and body towards Undead stood behind him- while the head is carried somewhere else, the body is actually taken to Research Facility. Waste not, they say... and a soul that can be taken through body's physical link is still valuable.
  233.
  234. "Yes, Gideon, you can assist with the project we have, and you can voice your own."
  235. (Arthur Rowan)
