	stand-lone, basic, but for a quick open & go, close,
	looks like it should work fine, & correctly

4Dots EmptyFolderCleanerSetup_11
	a HUGE 11 MB... but most of it are translations
	possibility of adware too.  unable to /install/
	sandboxed, but i've seen a number of programs today
	that have not installed sandboxed.  not sure why?

	probably the most configurable, certainly the most
	ODD in its working.  some (odd) descrepancies in
	what its folder /tree/ showed vs. what its folder
	/list/ came up with?  appears it would work OK,
	but not seeing, where i'd thought i should, makes
	me a bit hesitant

Puran Delete Empty Folders_11
	easily the FASTEST scanner, must be reading MFT
	(the others aren't necessarily slouches)
	essentially a single .EXE
	MUST be run as ADMIN
	ADD THAT *Internet Explorer* component into the mix,
	so I don't trust it
	otherwise, generally basic, but will do the job

all use 25% CPU on scan (1 of 4 cores)

HOURS, that sums it up, will take hours on a BIG tree
& oddly, during this time, most everthing works, you can sort the columns, you can resize
the window, you can select/d folders ...
NO WAY TO PAUSE/CANCEL ... so once it starts, it either will finish or you must close the
	program entirely
OTHERWISE, layout is nice & clear
SLOW, SLOW, SLOW, & since so SLOW & not being able to PAUSE ... makes this a FAIL
ESSENTIALLY "go with what i selected" (& in this case even more so because there is NO
	deselect all!!)
DELETION, heh, well you can EVEN DEL while it is still doing its SCAN, though in the end it
	would take SOOO long to finish, i'll never find out just what it can do
FAIL
   an "auto hot key" program (by skrommel or something)
   SLOW as molasses
      poor interface
      poor folder selection
   SCAN lists ALL folders, with count of files, folders, programs, size, - REGARDLESS of empty or not
SLOWEST by far out of any of them
0 Files | X Folders | 0 Size, means that a DIR is empty, with X number of subfolders within
	- that is an interesting way of looking at it (the X number that is).
		better then "multiple as ~xxx~ displays
	it also gives you context data to sibling folders that may not be empty,
		so in that respect it is presented well
it preselects (checkmarks) only folders that are empty
... let me go make a coffee...
	CPU usage is 25% (1 of 4 cores)
NO efficient way to make selections, the ONLY method, on longer listings, is to just use what
	they've preselected, no way to DESELECT enmass, no way to SELECT enmass, have to be
	careful NOT to inadvertently select a DIR with something in it

THIS ONE HAD *FAR* MORE (TONS ACTUALLY) unreadable DIRS compared to any of the others
   uniextracts, then just a single .EXE
   BASIC, no options program
      ONLY will find the bottom most empty folder as "empty"
      IOW ... c:/tmp/full/empty1/empty2, will only find empty2 as empty, even though empty1 is empty
         too.  suppose that after a first run, a second run would then find empty1 & be able to del
         that?
REALLY QUICK, surprisingly so, you could run this 3-times in sucession before others, once
a bit hard to read, text is a bit light against pale-blue background
CAN check/uncheck ALL, but otherwise, no easy way to make "mass" individual selections
	(mark, shift+end-mark does not work), so other then either EVERYTHING, or uncheck
	all & select only a few select DIRS
can EXPORT LIST to TXT, HTM, CSV, XML

    can manually ignore particular trees, though time consuming

DELETION is kind of time consuming as it scrolls the list, marking each deleted folder with
	 a checkmark, but otherwise leaving the listing as is (though you can't do anything with it)

ESSENTIALLY  Select ALL/None are your only options
DOES NOT show subDIR, only the TOPMOST, but does note that subDIRS are included as "multiple"

DELETION is kind of slow as it scrolls through the list, but not bad

   stand-alone, after extracting from "puran"
   individual download is exactly the same as above, but incl help & DEFExclude.txt & ...
      VERY FAST
      unlike EFR, it finds topmost empty DIRS as empty instead of bottom-most
         IOW ... c:/tmp/full/empty1/empty2, finds empty1 (which also includes empty2) as empty & is
         listed as "Multiple" to signify that there are (empty) subdirs to the selected directory
   VERY FAST, so it must be searching the MFT
   *IT MOST LIKELY *CONNECTS* TO THE INTERNET AT RUNTIME ?*
   	YES, seems so, but using WFC, blocking OUTbound, it can't "connect", heh!
   	IT is actually an "IE" window that it has, you can actually Ctl+N to open an IE window, heh!
FOUND:  601 folders, but that must be only TOPMOST, rather then total == 2000+
BETTER, by far, then GLARY, though you are attached to the internet when you run
SO forget about it!
(BOTH PURAN & GLARY open DLLHOST, at least when run sandboxed)

    kind of like the idea that it stores a back of the deleted DIRs in a ZIP file
    	but not sure of its value? [it stores this in %appdata% or so]
    would seem to be a better method then Recycle Bin (clogging that up) or

LIKEWISE to identify those that are only partially empty
BUT, no way to expand the entire TREE, at once
FILTERING on LIST (LiST grows on you too) is neat, perhaps
GIVES (persistent) results of the scan
OPTIONS persist on restart
DEFAULT DEL mode is to DEL to a ZIP file (has to be small because everything within is 0 bytes ;-) )
YOU HAVE to right-click a DIR to EXPLORE (most others are a double-click)
KIND of acts like daddies GUI programs, but it grows on you

ZIP contained 2561 DIRS in a FLAT structure, numbered 0 - 2560, so there would be NO SUB-DIRS
AFTER DELETION, there was no change, all was as it was before, so you may not have know that
	you did in fact do DELETION (if you happened to have forgotten as you write this ;-) )
APPDATA/.../Backup also exists, persists (though of course uses no "space")
OPTIONS has Backup UNDO & PURGE options, ODDLY though it still left the XML & DIRS,
	but DELETED the ZIP

LIST can be filtered, so only ".vk", so in that manner you can filter, then select-all

TREE topmost level does not show "partial-selects" in subDIRS, even though they are there

must run as ADMIN
"menu" driven, so first you must select a drive or folder to scan
all-none-invert
shows TOPMOST folder & path
	with + to expand to see the actual tree, BUT NO METHOD TO EXPAND-ALL
		so it would drive you crazy if you actually wanted to see...
	selecting ANY of the boxes within a tree, selects the ENTIRE tree,
	so if dir1/dir2/dir3/dir4 & you've expanded that tree & ALL you want
	to del is dir4, YOU CAN NOT.  selecting dir4 SELECTS THE WHOLE TREE,
	so 1/2/3/ & 4/
GLARY HAS A *TON* OF *dll* *bpl* files that it needs in order to actually run
so it is NOT like you can simply copy that single, small file (eff.exe) & be
done with it, you must have the whole mishbuchka, so FORGET ABOUT IT
(seems, untried, that it makes some sort of backup, because it has a 'Restore'
button?)

newest version, 3.8 vs 2.5 or so, is MUCH quicker in scanning, & while both versions
come up with *most* of the same DIRs,  there are still some in one not in the other,
& some in the other not in the one, SO THIS GIVES ME *NO CONFIDENCE* in the utility!
