8. Suicide Squad was a pleasant surprise for me. I expected it to be a boring flop from what I heard from word-of-mouth, but what I found instead was a highly enjoyable action film with good, likable characters backed by a great cast of actors.

 10. First, let's touch on the cast. Will Smith as Deadshot was perfect, and I'm not the biggest Will Smith fan on the block for sure. I was really hoping they would nail Deadshot's character right, as he's my favorite DC character. I like the stuff they did with his family which is an important part of Floyd's personality. Robbie was an incredibly likable Harley Quinn, quippy and adorable as hell and an important comedic relief figure. Courtney's Captain Boomerang was weird but strangely likable, though I really didn't understand the unicorn thing. It felt like that was part of the comedic re-shoots. Everyone else definitely gave it there all too. I think all the actors wanted this movie to succeed.

 12. What doesn't work is definitely the choppy action. Scenes rarely settle in for anything meaningful, which is a shame when all these characters and their vibrant personalities are part of the film's charm.
