  43.
  44. An immense limestone wall shudders in answer, shifting to reveal a downward path leading within the depths of Avechna's Teeth where previously there had only been stone.
  45.
  46. You shiver violently.
  47.
  48. <-- rambling from Dathruk and Dionellah, Tridemon enters
  49.
  50. You think to yourself: **the moment you enter - a LOUD wave of hivenoise, manic chittering and scraping and gnashing - like it used to be**.
  51.
  52. You blink.
  53.

  61.
  62. Turning away from Dionellah and Dathruk, you ask, "Do you want... to help me kill rockeaters?"
  63.
  64. Raising a bushy eyebrow, Dathruk Stonehilt says, "Did you forget already, kephera? You'll need to slay some rockeaters and bring back ten geodes to Dionellah for her to complete the statue. No more, no less."
  65.
  66. Considering the sculpture, Dionellah Windwhisper says, "I still require 10 more of the geodes to complete the sculpture, kephera. Do dispatch of some rockeaters on the highways for me, won't you?"
  67.
  68. Faintly buzzing, you whisper, "No I did not forget."

  75.
  76. Looking around, still seeming dazed, you say, "O-K, icy pass, yes. Yes."
  77.
  78. You click your mandibles together energetically, chittering to yourself.
  79.
  80. Faintly buzzing, you ask Tridemon, "How are??"
  81.
  82. You twitch spasmodically.
  83.
  84. Tridemon pats you in a friendly manner.
  85.
  86. You tilt your head curiously at Tridemon.
  87.
  88. Slowing down, you ask Tridemon, "...are O-K?"
  89.
  90. You look at Tridemon, expression filled with concern as you frown.
  91.
  92. Faintly buzzing, you ask, "We do not have to keep helping yes, I can... finish Miss Dionellah and Mister Dathruk another time?"
  93.
  94. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "I'm fine."
  95.
  96. You think to yourself: **grating, gnashing, buzzing**.
  97.
  98. Faintly buzzing, you say, "...O-K."
  99. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure
  100. You chirp happily at Tridemon.
  101.
  102. Waters says, "... I'm not sure YOU are."
  103.
  104. You blink.
  105.
  106. You have emoted: Gurashi lets out a little noise, stalking along beside both of you.
  107.
  108. Faintly buzzing, you say to Tridemon, "Oh - er."
  109.
  110. You have emoted: Gurashi reaches up to scratch the side of his head, nudging at the circlet. "Yeah! They are so loud this month! Feels like started all over."
  111.
  112. You pat a sheep in a friendly manner.
  113. A sheep lifts its head and goes, "Baaaaahhh."
  114.
  115. Tridemon pats a sheep in a friendly manner.
  116. A sheep lifts its head and goes, "Baaaaahhh."
  117.
  118. Faintly buzzing, you say, "I will lead you to the Great Library of the Glomdoring."
  119. A thoughtful scholar exclaims, "You will take me to one of the Great Libraries of the Basin? Oh, I shall be indebted to you!"
  120.
  121. You think to yourself: These peoples are not rockeaters.
  122.
  123. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "How sure are you that they're not rockeaters?"
  124.
  125. Tridemon shifts his eyes suspiciously from side to side.
  126.
  127. You pat a wandering bard in a friendly manner.
  128. A wandering bard shrugs indifferently at you.
  129.
  130. Faintly buzzing, you say to a wandering bard, "You are really a rockeater, you play beautifully for not having thumbs."
  131.
  132. You think to yourself: Ten...
  133.
  134. You think to yourself: **another angry swell of noise, a painfully loud series of bangs and scratches**.
  135.
  136. You think to yourself: Pip...
  137.
  138. Faintly buzzing, you say, "Deliver to Pip...!"
  139.
  140. You clap your hands together merrily.
  141.
  142. You blink.
  143.
  144. You glance askance.
  145.
  146. Pip peers about herself unscrupulously.
  147.
  148. Pip Ysav'rai says, "What."
  149.
  150. Pointing to the wall, you say to Pip, "Beetle."
  151.
  152. Pip blinks.
  153.
  154. You have emoted: Gurashi looks about distractedly, then points towards a cluster of rocks. "Deathwatch beetle." He gestures vaguely.
  155.
  156. Faintly buzzing, you say to Pip, "For Mister Worntail."
  157.
  158. Eyeing the wall suspiciously, Pip Ysav'rai says, "At least you're not calling me a beetle."
  159.
  160. Pip Ysav'rai says, "Don't let me stop you."
  161.
  162. Pip hugs you compassionately.
  163.
  164. You reach out, wrapping all four arms around Pip as you pull her into a tight hug.
  165.
  166. Pip skips merrily in circles around Tridemon.
  167.
  168. Faintly buzzing, you say to Pip, "You are most definitely not a beetle!"
  169.
  170. Faintly buzzing, you say, "...and, she is gone."
  171.
  172. You think to yourself: Like the shadows!
  173.
  174. You think to yourself: **now, the ticking of the deathwatch beetle has joined the din**.
  175.
  176. Pip tells you, "Good, I am not sure I can grow more limbs to fit the image."
  177.
  178. Clapping, you say, "O-K let's turn these in."
  179.
  180. Tridemon creases his brow in a frown.
  181.
  182. Feeling the wall, you say, "Where was it..."
  183.
  184. An immense limestone wall shudders in answer, shifting to reveal a downward path leading within the depths of Avechna's Teeth where previously there had only been stone.
  185.
  186. "Ahah!" you exclaim triumphantly.
  187.
  188. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... is that hivenoise, or is that memory?"
  189.
  190. You have emoted: Gurashi pauses in his descent, looking back at Tridemon.
  191.
  192. Tridemon pats you in a friendly manner.
  193.
  194. Tridemon pats Bizirik, the leothin in a friendly manner.
  195.
  196. Faintly buzzing, you ask Tridemon, "...memory...?"
  197.
  198. You shake your head.
  199.
  200. You think to yourself: **continued rampant chaotic noise**.
  201. Dionellah Windwhisper says, "I see you've found one of the geodes I asked for, kephera! Wonderful."
  202. Dionellah Windwhisper taps the geode with her chisel, revealing a beautiful shard of quartz before she begins sculpting.
  203.
  204. **quest things**
  205.
  206. You think to yourself: **working in with the hive noise - now, the song Dathruk plays, though it sounds dissonant with the irregular beating and ticking of hivesounds**.
  207.
  208. You think to yourself: **sharp, ugly sounds**.
  209.
  210. Dionellah Windwhisper says, "I see you've found one of the geodes I asked for, kephera! Wonderful."
  211. Dionellah Windwhisper taps the geode with her chisel, revealing a beautiful shard of quartz before she begins sculpting.
  212.
  213. You have emoted: Gurashi takes a step back to stand beside Tridemon, tiredly staring at a partially finished sculpture of a beautiful Goddess as it is completed.
  214.
  215. You think to yourself: **good music yes a lovely song but ugh dissonant noise and an irritable ever-churning ruddy shade**.
  216.
  217. You twitch your mandibles as you voice a soft, curious chirr.
  218.
  219. Exhaling, Dionellah Windwhisper says, "Yes. My work here is finally complete."
  220. Dionellah Windwhisper rises from her place at the sculpture's base and marvels at her work for a moment longer, her wings fanning out with muted pride.
  221.
  222. Almost wistfully, Dionellah Windwhisper says, "She is beautiful, isn't She? The shape of Her face came to me as you sang."
  223.
  224. Dionellah Windwhisper turns to Dathruk, whose eyes shine with earnest thanks and admiration as he looks to the trill. At last, he manages to say, "Thank you. Aye, your work more than does Her justice."
  225.
  226. You think to yourself: Oh - am done.
  227.
  228. You quickly bend at the waist to offer a polite half-bow.
  229.
  230. You think to yourself: Wowee monies.
  231.
  232. Tridemon reaches over and ruffles your hair with a fond expression.
  233.
  234. You have emoted: Gurashi looks at Tridemon as his hat is ruffled askew.
  235.
  236. Fixing his cloak, you say, "O-K ... I am still needing...."
  237.
  238. You think to yourself: **pinging and grating**.
  239.
  240. Rubbing his beak, you say, "Siiiix breads..."
  241.
  242. You twitch your mandibles as you voice a soft, curious chirr.
  243.
  244. You think to yourself: Could help Miss Ilmdria orrrrr.
  245.
  246. Looking north, then south, you ask Tridemon, "...what should I do?"
  247.
  248. You think to yourself: **distracting sounds - voices now, again, join the mix**.
  249.
  250. Tridemon ponders the situation.
  251.
  252. <-- Tridemon make glacier happen
  253.
  254. Tridemon nods his head emphatically.
  255.
  256. You have emoted: Gurashi lets out a little surprised noise, drawing his legs together as he watches the room suddenly become dominated by a glacier.
  257.
  258. Tridemon reaches out to pat the glacier fondly.
  259.
  260. You think to yourself: **at the appearance of the glacier, for a moment the noise is softer, replaced with harmonic tones reflecting off the ice's surface..... though, as time passes the noise begins to slowly creep back in like an unwanted chill**.
  261.
  262. You stare blankly into space.
  263.
  264. You have emoted: Gurashi also reaches out to pat the glacier, then thinks better of it, dropping his arm back inside his cloak.
  265.
  266. Swaying on his feet, you ask, "...we are staying here?"
  267.
  268. You glance askance at a wandering bard.
  269.
  270. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "It's just cold. It shouldn't hurt to touch. ... unless your hand gets stuck to it because it's wet."
  271.
  272. You have emoted: Gurashi hesitantly reaches out again, touching the glacier with his smaller right hand, tapping on it twice.
  273.
  274. You think to yourself: **a swell of confusion, frustration, not lost in all the noise - this used to make it better**.
  275.
  276. You have emoted: Gurashi pauses, pressing his hand into the glacier and tilting his head.
  277.
  278. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... mm."
  279.
  280. You think to yourself: **remembering how nice the water sounded - still can hear the water, but the hive chaos has returned almost its full volume, bit by miserable bit**.
  281.
  282. You twitch your mandibles as you voice a soft, curious chirr.
  283.
  284. You think to yourself: Baking.
  285.
  286. You think to yourself: ...magic baking.
  287.
  288. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to Bizirik, the leothin, "How has he been doing?"
  289.
  290. Bizirik, the leothin lets out a soft little grumble. It seems irritable as well, constantly twitching its ears and tossing its head. It looks up at Tridemon, snorting.
  291.
  292. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  293.
  294. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... right."
  295.
  296. You tilt your head, gaze softening as you frown.
  297.
  298. Waters says to you, "You should go deliver the bards and scholars. Then we can go and sit somewhere interesting."
  299.
  300. You have emoted: Gurashi pulls his hand off of the glacier, shaking it out.
  301. Faintly buzzing, you say, "O-K."
  302.
  303. <-- does just that
  304.
  305. You think to yourself: Wonder where they go...
  306.
  307. You chitter at Bizirik, the leothin with energetic clicks of your mandibles.
  308.
  309. You think to yourself: **a cascade of noises - crashes and shouting**.
  310.
  311. Looking up, you ask Tridemon, "Interesting?"
  312.
  313. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure
  314. Waters says to you, "You like the Nexus world for the Pool of Stars."
  315.
  316. You have emoted: Gurashi perks up at the mention. "Oh... the fishes."
  317.
  318. Tridemon gives the world a thumbs up.
  319.
  320. You think to yourself: **a passing, joyful memory of starry fishes - interrupted by a LOUD calamity that sounds like it's immediately behind you**.
  321.
  322. Wide-eyed, you say to Tridemon, "Yeah let's go look at fishes."
  323.
  324. <-- to NC!
  325.
  326. Meleris, Keeper of the Pool of Stars bows his head reverently and traces a holy pentacle in the air before Tridemon, one point for each Supernal.
  327. Meleris, Keeper of the Pool of Stars says, "Blessed be, Chosen One."
  328.
  329. Tridemon leans on the Pool of Stars seeking consolation.
  330.
  331. <-- enter Nexus!
  332.
  333. Tridemon strikes a pose.
  334.
  335. You have emoted: Gurashi lets out a little noise as he unexpectedly follows Tridemon into the Nexus world, all four hands clenched together over his lute. He looks around quickly, eyes lighting up.
  336.
  337. You think to yourself: Fishes......!
  338.
  339. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Hivenoise quieted down?"
  340.
  341. You think to yourself: **an odd sensation, and an even odder sound - much of the hive noise has become softer, but there is still something that is still so -loud- and present. It feels and sounds like another kephera standing immediately beside you, but you cannot see them**.
  342.
  343. You have emoted: Gurashi tiredly lifts his hands to cover either side of his head, squishing the brim of his hat. He says nothing, staring out over the fountain.
  344.
  345. Tridemon peers about himself unscrupulously.
  346.
  347. Tridemon focuses on that sensation of the unseen kephera, checking to see if it's at all... familiar.
  348.
  349. Suddenly sounding exhausted, you say, "Why is still so very loud."
  350.
  351. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "I think it might be... a memory?"
  352.
  353. You think to yourself: **what an odd sensation, knowing something is there but not seeing it, or even feeling it. but it is there, somehow, somewhere - and it is hard to call it familiar, because it both feels like someone you could know, while also being some errant kephera**.
  354.
  355. Weakly, you ask Tridemon, "Your water magics always made it better... oh - but, I... am having memories?"
  356.
  357. You think to yourself: **continued noise, growing angrier, angrier...**.
  358.
  359. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "I have... no experience with this sort of thing. A memory? Someone stuck in the psychic web?"
  360.
  361. Shaking his head, you ask, "W-what's a psychic web?"
  362.
  363. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "It's the thing that connects the hives, the thing that lets the Queens be reborn. ... It's easy enough to check to see if it's something inside or out, though."
  364.
  365. You have emoted: Gurashi paces a little bit, looking around the Nexus for something to distract himself. He's momentarily occupied by a fish, but it too swims off, and he returns to his pacing.
  366.
  367. Quietly, you say, "Only Queens get reborn though."
  368.
  369. Tridemon reaches out one hand toward you, and closes his fist.
  370.
  371. You think to yourself: **someone in a web? someone in MY web? I have a web?**.
  372.
  373. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Let's see how much the psychicblock helps, yes?"
  374.
  375. <-- BLOCKED
  376.
  377. You have emoted: Gurashi inhales sharply, lifting a hand to touch the side of his head.
  378.
  379. You think to yourself: **like a curtain being dropped on a stage, most bits of hive noise cease, swallowed up by silence. but, not all - no, something -still- feels here, foreign and familiar... a subtle sound that makes you feel like your ears need to pop**.
  380.
  381. Bizirik, the leothin lets out a cheerful little chatter as Tridemon severs the connection, tossing its head. However, it continues to watch Gurashi warily, tail slowly sweeping back and forth as it stays put.
  382.
  383. You stare blankly at a sunflower starfish.
  384.
  385. Tridemon frowns slightly. "Well, that's either you or someone else inside of you."
  386.
  387. You think to yourself: Me.
  388.
  389. You have emoted: Gurashi turns his attention from the starfish, looking down at himself.
  390.
  391. You think to yourself: Someone else inside of me?
  392.
  393. Tridemon pats you in a friendly manner.
  394.
  395. Nervous, you say, "... do I ... say something."
  396.
  397. You stare blankly at Tridemon.
  398.
  399. You think to yourself: **the feeling continues. uncomfortable. you recognize it slowly as the same feeling from last night - like growing static, uncomfortable pinpricks**.
  400.
  401. Bizirik, the leothin snorts.
  402.
  403. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Well, you can always try hello. ... or your go-to backup of offering food."
  404.
  405. You have emoted: Gurashi looks terrified at this, watching the fish that were there previously swim away.
  406.
  407. You think to yourself: **swirls of gray and uncertain blue** what if I do not want to have a whole other persons inside of me?
  408.
  409. You have emoted: Gurashi slowly shakes his head, looking across the fountain at the reflective water, finding something to focus on - ah, perfect timing, a sunflower starfish.
  410.
  411. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "I have... no idea of what to do about having someone in your head that doesn't want to leave."
  412.
  413. You have emoted: Gurashi suddenly looks terrified at this, glancing sidelong at Tridemon.
  414.
  415. You think to yourself: ... **if is a persons then is someone that can talk to yes**.
  416.
  417. You think to yourself: **where is miss khep in all of this**.
  418.
  419. You have emoted: Gurashi folds his arms over his chest, under his cloak, taking a deep breath.
  420.
  421. You think to yourself: I like to talk to peoples, yes.
  422.
  423. You think to yourself: Is just another persons, yes. If I can talk to Mister Lord of Forbidden Knowledge, I can talk to... a -brain stranger-.
  424.
  425. Bizirik, the leothin lowers its head a little, keeping its gaze curiously trained on Gurashi.
  426.
  427. Tridemon shifts his attention toward a pair of flying fish.
  428.
  429. You think to yourself: **cautious - just saying hello - the mindscape is merely a reflection of here, of the top of this fountain, starry and watery and captivating. approaching the static. just saying hello**.
  430.
  431. You think to yourself: **just as the flying fish vanish from sight... suddenly**.
  432.
  433. <-- suddenly, Matteo!
  434.
  435. You have emoted: Gurashi suddenly looks over to Matteo, attention drawn away from the flying fish as they swim off in another direction. "...ah! Hi!"
  436.
  437. You chirp happily at Matteo.
  438.
  439. Raising his hand in greeting, Matteo says "Hi!"
  440.
  441. Matteo puts his hands on his hips and goes "Hmmm!"
  442.
  443. Bowing apologetically, you say to Matteo, "Please excuse for intruding, yes. Your Nexus world is very pretty! And is good for the inspirations."
  444.
  445. You point accusingly at a flying fish.
  446.
  447. Faintly buzzing, you say, "Mean, just -look-."
  448.
  449. Matteo nods his head emphatically.
  450.
  451. You think to yourself: **confused... still, aware of presence, but, standing beside it - do not knowledge it yet. growing unease**.
  452.
  453. You beam broadly at Matteo.
  454.
  455. Humble Matteo, Supplicant of Sacrifice smiles and says, "Enjoy."
  456.
  457. Humble Matteo, Supplicant of Sacrifice says, "Im here to get a phial but hmm... it's not working."
  458.
  459. Matteo creases his brow in a frown.
  460.
  461. Humble Matteo, Supplicant of Sacrifice says, "Ah well gotta go."
  462.
  463. Humble Matteo, Supplicant of Sacrifice says to you, "Enjoy the flying fishes."
  464.
  465. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Wait."
  466.
  467. Matteo's mouth turns up as his face breaks into a smile.
  468.
  469. Tridemon beckons to Matteo.
  470.
  471. Comprehension flashes across Matteo's face.
  472.
  473. <-- walky and demonstration
  474.
  475. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Here. The font."
  476.
  477. Comprehension flashes across Matteo's face.
  478.
  479. As he wanders along, you say to Matteo, "The starfishes are good too... and jellies..."
  480.
  481. Humble Matteo, Supplicant of Sacrifice says, "Thank you."
  482.
  483. Tridemon nods his head emphatically.
  484.
  485. Tridemon pats Bizirik, the leothin in a friendly manner.
  486.
  487. You tilt your head curiously.
  488.
  489. Dazedly, you ask Tridemon, "What does that do again?"
  490.
  491. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "What, the font?"
  492.
  493. Faintly buzzing, you say, "Mm."
  494.
  495. You think to yourself: **nervous...**.
  496.
  497. Softly, you ask, "There's a timequake...?"
  498.
  499. Faintly buzzing, you say, "Oh..."
  500.
  501. You have emoted: Gurashi reaches up and touches his head. "Right."
  502.
  503. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "It gives us a phial, which can be a shield, an allheale-type cure, gives enemies afflictions upon hitting us... if you remember to use it. Also teleport and tesseract costs are reduced."
  504.
  505. You have emoted: Gurashi nods as he listens, though you can't really tell if he's paying attention.
  506.
  507. You think to yourself: **the mindfulness of the presence is less awareness and becoming more of a looming sensation... uncertain hazy gray, mauve, blue**.
  508.
  509. Suddenly, you say to Tridemon, "In the event it is someone who..."
  510.
  511. Faintly buzzing, you exclaim to Tridemon, "...like how when first met Miss Khep, she tried to stab Mixter Esei - if I try to stab you, you have my permission to drown me!"
  512.
  513. Looking down, you say, "In fact."
  514.
  515. You look at Tridemon and offer an enthusiastic four thumbs-up.
  516.
  518.
  519. You have emoted: Gurashi nods as he listens, though you can't really tell if he's paying attention.
  520.
  521. You think to yourself: **the mindfulness of the presence is less awareness and becoming more of a looming sensation... uncertain hazy gray, mauve, blue**.
  522.
  523. Suddenly, you say to Tridemon, "In the event it is someone who..."
  524.
  525. Faintly buzzing, you exclaim to Tridemon, "...like how when first met Miss Khep, she tried to stab Mixter Esei - if I try to stab you, you have my permission to drown me!"
  526.
  527. Looking down, you say, "In fact."
  528.
  529. You look at Tridemon and offer an enthusiastic four thumbs-up.
  530.
  531. You have emoted: Gurashi settles his gaze on the fountain again, dropping his arms to his sides.
  532.
  533. Tridemon pats you in a friendly manner.
  534.
  535. You think to yourself: **...wondering** is just the brain block? is why is so quiet. but khep should still be heard because is inside my head.
  536.
  537. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "I'll try not to need to stab you in the head."
  538.
  539. You gaze softens as you smile at Tridemon.
  540.
  541. You think to yourself: **...O-K. Hesitation pushed aside. fear helps nothing and no one. it will just be like putting a hand on a shoulder. reaching out. breaching the static: hello - we are h--**.
  542.
  543. You think to yourself: **suddenly, no words, just a loud, powerful impression: cannot speak. synapses in brain are black and fried. cannot find language. desperately feeling in the dark for what it is that has lost**.
  544.
  545. You have emoted: Gurashi slumps a little where he stands, his expression odd.
  546.
  547. Bizirik, the leothin lets out a little grumble, lowering its head more, tail slapping the ground once.
  548.
  549. You think to yourself: **eyes are clamped shut; sealed with tears and blood. un-peel them to a hundred dumbstruck kepheran faces. so noisy, loud loud loud LOUD talking and shouting over each other. floating, slowly, back to my body. where... am I...? what is going on**.
  550.
  551. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to Bizirik, the leothin, "I think we're equally confused... This feels like memory. Whose?"
  552.
  553. Bizirik, the leothin makes no sound, crouched in an eerily still pose.
  554.
  555. You think to yourself: **as the odd vision continues, a pain begins to grow over your left eye, drilling straight into the back of your skull**.
  556.
  557. You twitch spasmodically.
  558.
  559. You think to yourself: **you feel a sudden, urgent attempt to disconnect, but it is met with resistance, desperately held on**.
  560.
  561. Tridemon lifts a hand up to his eye, covering it up for a moment with a grimace.
  562.
  563. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... Amun? You need to... stop."
  564.
  565. Tridemon growls menacingly.
  566.
  567. You think to yourself: **heart is pounding out of my chest; what's going on what's happening? i open my mouth to ask, but a startled scream rips out instead - another wave of pain, bright shades of crimson starting to tint the otherwise black-and-gray scene**.
  568.
  569. You stare blankly into space.
  570.
  571. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... Khepqet, get over here and HELP."
  572.
  573. Bizirik, the leothin sniffs you, trying to decipher just what that smell emanating from you is. x3
  574.
  575. You have emoted: Gurashi twitches, and a little ripple of uncertain psionic energy escapes from him like a breath.
  576.
  577. Tridemon looks down at the knife in his hands then back up at you, before gathering up a surge of psionic energy, shaping it like a needle and driving it into your mind- right over your left antenna, in fact. Cold, numbing energies, carrying a command which is just... "CEASE."
  578.
  579. You think to yourself: **khepqet. i know that name - khepqet. khepqet help me help me khepqet why is this happening--**.
  580.
  581. You think to yourself: **strange - all at once the static releases its grip, and like a physical entity steps away, out of sight, leaving behind a numbing sensation and a horrible headache**.
  582.
  583. Tridemon shakes his head.
  584.
  585. You have emoted: Gurashi lets out a startled little noise, his knees nearly buckling as he pulls free. But Bizirik is already in front of him, and he catches himself on the leothin before he falls, gasping for air.
  586.
  587. Tridemon shakes his head again, lifting up his sleeve and wiping away a very slight trickle of blood from his left eye, hopefully before you can see it.
  588.
  589. You have emoted: Gurashi slumps heavily over Bizirik, letting out a noise as he folds his hands over the back of his head as he continues to gasp for air. Eventually, he sinks to sit, back against the leothin who is now snuffling and snorting and licking the kephera, concerned.
  590.
  591. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... Okay. We're not doing that again until Khep gets back."
  592.
  593. You think to yourself: **waves of sharp, stabbing pain wash over the left side of your head - relentlessly uncomfortable**.
  594.
  595. Weakly, you say, "Don't want to do that again."
  596.
  597. Tridemon reaches over to settle his hand along the left side of your head, his hand carrying a cold, aquatic energy that isn't quite freezing, but isn't far off.
  598.
  599. You have emoted: Gurashi exhales miserably, his carapace feeling miserably hot against your touch. "Please do not make me do that again."
  600.
  601. Tridemon nods his head emphatically.
  602.
  603. A gentle mist rolls through the area, ghostly images dancing just beyond your line of sight.
  604.
  605. Midnight shadows coalesce around a new day, and Mother Night embraces the land in utter darkness.
  606. It is now the 6th of Shanthin, 559 years after the Coming of Estarra.
  607. There are 13 days until the New Moon
  608.
  609. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "You'll... still have to consult with Khep about this."
  610.
  611. A flying fish flicks its fins as it soars gracefully across the liquid starlight, vanishing to the down.
  612.
  613. You think to yourself: **ahh - a bit of relief, but there is still a deeper ache, but it is bearable, livable**.
  614.
  615. Cracking open one eye to look at you, you say, "But she is even less familiar with brain stuff than -you-."
  616.
  617. Shutting his eye quickly, you say, "And why wasn't she here now - she can't have gotten out of my circle... right."
  618.
  619. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "I'm not at all sure. ... I think we're equally confused."
  620.
  621. Shadows swirl around your arm as the Fingerblade of dha'Wyrden-cree digs itself more painfully into your finger.
  622.
  623. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... do you want to check to see if things are less noisy now?"
  624.
  625. You think to yourself: **miserable tingling, and a bad taste in your mouth. chest feels tight. might hurl. oh, definitely might hurl**.
  626.
  627. Tridemon stretches out his hand, intently focused as he murmurs ancient words of power. Sprays of ocean mist and surges of seawater accompany the ascent of a towering glacier as it rises to dominate the area at his behest.
  628.
  629. Tridemon stamps his foot, opening up a vent beneath the waves from which springs a warmer current.
  630.
  631. You have emoted: Gurashi sits forward a little, arms folded over his knees as he takes a few deep breaths. "O-K."
  632.
  633. Waves crash together, sending gouts of salt spray up into the air.
  634. A current of warm water flows past you, the soothing warmth easing your pains and healing your wounds.
  635. An invigorating sea breeze carries restorative mists around Tridemon.
  636.
  637. <-- end psiblock
  638.
  639. You think to yourself: **the feeling subsides a bit, but still a lingering sense of discomfort. tight chested, a rock in your stomach, aching in your head - a prickling shade of mauve**.
  640.
  641. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... The Shofet might be able to do something about it, if it gets bad enough."
  642.
  643. You think to yourself: **as the psychic block subsides, a slow din of hive noise begins to build, making the already unpleasant sensations a tad more uncomfortable**.
  644.
  645. You glance askance at Tridemon.
  646.
  647. You have emoted: Gurashi quickly shakes his head, leaning forward to try and stand. "I... ".
  648.
  649. You think to yourself: / *among all the chittering* ...o? What the ... ....s that? T... .... ll weird?? /.
  650.
  651. You shake your head.
  652.
  653. Tridemon reaches out to offer his hand to help you up. "Let's go."
  654.
  655. You have emoted: Gurashi stares at Tridemon's hand for a moment, dazed, before he reaches out to take it, slowly pulling himself to his feet. He wavers once up, looking about the Nexus world.
  656.
  657. You think to yourself: **among all the noise and unpleasant colors - bits of appreciative lilac**.
  658.
  659. Tridemon glances down at his sleeve very briefly, moving the small splash of red out of sight. "Well... you can stand, so I think we should head somewhere you can sit."
  660.
  661. You have emoted: Gurashi clearly doesn't notice, staring off into the space just past Tridemon's head.
  662.
  663. Tridemon nods his head emphatically.
  664.
  665. You follow Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters to the Pool of Stars.
  666. The Pool of Stars suddenly begins to froth violently, expelling a dazed and confused Tridemon from within its churning depths. As the Pool of Stars calms itself, skeins of light drip from Tridemon like liquid and just as quickly dissipate.
  667.
  668. <-- runs home
  669.
  670. You follow Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters north to A cozy living room.
  671.
  672. Tridemon throws himself onto a dark blue crystalline couch, sprawling out and making himself at home.
  673.
  674. You have emoted: Gurashi shuffles along after Tridemon, eventually finding his way to the opposite couch, where he sits slowly. Bizirik remains glued to his side, going so far as to set its head in his lap as he sits.
  675.
  676. You sit yourself down on a dark blue crystalline couch and make yourself comfortable.
  677.
  678. You think to yourself: **tired - waves of tired. and strangely disconnected. feeling watched, aware that somewhere is still something**.
  679.
  680. You think to yourself: / *chiming in once she senses you've settled* ... what happened? /.
  681.
  682. You shake your head.
  683.
  684. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Some kind of... internal barrier. Touching it was a mistake. I had to make... SOMETHING let go. I'm not sure if it was a memory, or what."
  685.
  686. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "It... felt like a memory."
  687.
  688. You think to yourself: / Barrier? /.
  689.
  690. You think to yourself: / *suddenly* Memory - what. What did you see /.
  691.
  692. You have emoted: Gurashi shakes his head again, bringing up his legs and shifting to lay on his back on the couch, draping an arm over his face.
  693.
  694. You think to yourself: / *you feel her turn to you abruptly* Keeper? /.
  695.
  696. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Pain. Confusion. Tears. Hundreds of kepheran faces. Eyes sealed shut in blood and tears. Senses burned away, blackened. More pain. Like a spear being driven through my skull, from... here."
  697.
  698. You think to yourself: **a subdued swirl of cool shades: don't want to think about it. tired. so -tired-. just wanted to see fishes - do not want something new and scary, do not need more new and scary**.
  699.
  700. You think to yourself: / ........ *you feel her. get. mad* What /.
  701.
  702. Tridemon reaches up to the left side of his face, right above his eye, tracing his way back to the back of his skull.
  703.
  704. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "It felt like a memory. It felt like a person reacting. You weren't there, and I tried to get your attention, and your name was recognized."
  705.
  706. You think to yourself: / *louder, angrier, enough to make the air around her turn red* Why would you -do- that /.
  707.
  708. You have emoted: Gurashi shudders a little, folding another arm over his head, knocking his hat off, though he doesn't seem to care.
  709.
  710. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Because it felt like there was someone there, physically in the room. As if someone else was lurking inside of his mind."
  711.
  712. The soft sounds of a zither being played and the cry of a crane in flight echo in from somewhere.
  713.
  714. You think to yourself: / *still sounding angry, no, furious* That's impossible. I'm standing here - I can sense you, myself, and Tiso /.
  715.
  716. You think to yourself: / *you feel her begin to pace, see angry spikes of red in all the green and black* Damnit, -damnit- /.
  717.
  718. You think to yourself: **again, -exhausted-. could fall asleep if head was not pounding, and Khep was not almost shouting**.
  719.
  720. Tridemon closes his eyes... and tries to project the sensations that were present when the psychicblock was put in place in the nexus world. The feeling of something loud. RIGHT THERE. Invisible. Obviously there, obviously not.
  721.
  722. You think to yourself: / Last month you didn't even want to TRY to put together a stupid imaginary ball for fear it'd trigger something and now you're touching imaginary-- /.
  723.
  724. You think to yourself: / *you practically feel the life go out of her* /.
  725.
  726. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "THAT. That is what was there."
  727.
  728. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "It bore... investigation. A greeting. But it started hurting, so I tried to stop it, but it wouldn't stop until I MADE it stop..."
  729.
  730. You think to yourself: / *confusion... sadness, then quite suddenly -horror-* What the Nil have you done /.
  731.
  732. Bizirik, the leothin continues to sit glued to Gurashi's side, head rested on his abdomen, staring up at him with wide, blank eyes.
  733.
  734. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "I don't know! I didn't make it! It's not MINE. I don't know how to disentangle the dead from the living!"
  735.
  736. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "I just thought that maybe someone else had gotten IN. The hive noise was getting worse, after all..."
  737.
  738. You think to yourself: / *a myriad of reds and red-violets* If you don't know what it is then LET IT BE /.
  739.
  740. You think to yourself: / *unreasonably angry* The noise is -worse- because we talked about -Amun-, and you -can't- talk about him without Nepra knowing, and if SHE knows, then -everyone- knows, GODS-- *a string of chittering curses* /.
  741.
  742. You think to yourself: **quiet voice among swirls of color** please do not yell at Tridemon.
  743.
  744. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "She has right to be angry at the situation."
  745.
  746. Arms still draped over his head, you whisper, "But you are trying to help, and yelling doesn't help."
  747.
  748. You think to yourself: / *you feel pacing, more flashes of red, angry chittering, lots of angry chittering* could we rebuild the circle somewhere else? start fresh, new spot /.
  749.
  750. You think to yourself: / I don't know if that would even work? **you feel her slap one of the vines** It's too bloody abstract /.
  751.
  752. You think to yourself: / DAMNIT *another wash of reds* /.
  753.
  754. You let loose a long breath from your lungs, exhaling slowly.
  755.
  756. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... it's anchored in his own mind and self, not in a physical location. Because if it were anchored to a physical location, it wouldn't work when he's away from that location. ... it can probably be moved... deeper? Maybe?"
  757.
  758. You think to yourself: / *you can feel her cover her face* /.
  759.
  760. You think to yourself: / You said there were faces /.
  761.
  762. You think to yourself: **mauve... violet.... deeper, indigo**.
  763.
  764. You think to yourself: / Did you recognize anyone /.
  765.
  766. You have emoted: Gurashi barely shakes his head, face still covered. Bizirik lets out a soft little whine, tail slapping the floor.
  767.
  768. You think to yourself: **tired, aching colors. still a deep pain on the left side of your head that won't go away, creeping down your face**.
  769.
  770. Tridemon lifts his arm slightly, surreptitiously conjuring up a small ball of water to carry away the small amount of blood, turning the water pink.
  771.
  772. You think to yourself: / *you can sense her follow the water, her gaze eventually falling on you - glaring* /.
  773.
  774. Hearing the rustle of clothing, his face still covered, you ask Tridemon, "You are O-K... ?"
  775.
  776. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Mmhmm. I'm fine."
  777.
  778. You think to yourself: **another wave of aching, washes of gross color, trying to forget what has been seen and felt and replace it with nice things - like the sound of the bamboo outside, yes - nice things**.
  779.
  780. You think to yourself: / *speaking over the din of hive noise* May I make a suggestion /.
  781.
  782. Tridemon lets the small ball of water gently settle to the ground, joining the shallow water below, soundlessly. "It wouldn't be unwelcome."
  783.
  784. You think to yourself: / Don't ... *you can feel her start to say something else, but there is a flood of anger and confusion, and then more anger as she chastises you* you -ever- do that again /.
  785.
  786. You think to yourself: / We're all out of our element /.
  787.
  788. You think to yourself: / That ..... he -shouldn't- be there /.
  789.
  790. You think to yourself: **still trying to focus on the sounds of wind through leaves**.
  791.
  792. Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... Some of the things Nepra said make a little more sense, though."
  793.
  794. You think to yourself: / Gah. *a bristle, angry and uncomfortable* what the Nil did you -do-, Tridemon. *some angrier chittering* /.
  795.
  796. You think to yourself: / *a sneer* And what's that /.
  797.
  798. Tridemon again starts looking more tired. Old, and slightly gray along the edges. "Took him away..."
  799.
