Operation Backstory: Part 3

My name is Lyra Vega Bel.
I’m not named after instruments.
I’m named after stars.

Impossibly bright, and far away, and huge.  Untouchable, infinite, the tiny pinpricks of light that fend off the darkness until the dawn finally returns.
On a universal scale, infinitesimally meaningless.
… But I’m not meaningless.  Because I’m also named after a deity.
So what’s in a name?  The accidental implication of music?  The intended implication of space?  The chance implication of divinity?

It doesn’t really matter.  I don’t need to rely on a name to make my path for me.  I don’t need to rely on accidents, or someone else’s intent, or chance.
I just need myself.

Every bit of help that someone’s handed me.  I don’t need it.  I did it myself.  Because I *am* destiny.  I can put up with the pain.  I can put up with the humiliation.  I can put up with the *constant* derision.  And I’m going to let myself win anyways.
Thus spake Operation Sidereal Tautology.  It is so ordered.  Bite me.

Tadpal appeared from nowhere, a gift.  But not a gift of pity, no.
He was only something to take care of.  A loan, from future-Lyra to present-Lyra.
And now from present-Lyra to past-Lyra.

/me stands triumphant, the newborn frog that would eventually be known as Tadpal floating before her.
And then he vanishes, sent back in time for herself to be given.

What’s wrong?  Don’t think I can do that?  Think he’d be cancerous because I can’t do the quest right?
Think again.
Because I spoke to Echidna.  And I said yes.
How, you ask?  Not really, of course, since you don’t exist.  Not to me.
But I’ll tell you.  I’ll tell you why it is I can speak to Echidna despite not being a Space player.
Because it worked for Aranea.

But I digress.  That’s not the *only* thing I do, obviously.
