- Or anything that can harm your health at work.
- Electricity At Work Act 1989
- This ensures all electrical items are safe and are checked on a regular basis.
- People carrying out the testing must be qualified.
- Installation of equipment must be approved to be signed off.
- It is the management responsibility to employ people who are qualified to install, repair and maintain all electrical equipment on site.
- Lifting operations and lifting equipment regulation (LOLER) 1998
- Covers:
- • Cranes
- • Lifts
- • Hoists
- • Chains, ropes, slings
- • Hooks, shackles, eyebolt, rope and pulley systems
- • Forklift trucks
- Suitable risks assessment must be made.
- Must be checked before used.
- Suitable strength for load being lifted.
