Yu Kong Character description

Yu Kong is destined to be the 22nd Sage of the YuHao Kong tribe, said to be the original tribe which Wukong first met 1542 years ago. At age 17 he was sent off by his father to try and achieve enlightenment, his father worried due to Yu's cocky attitude that he would not be able to attain enlightenment and would not be suited to guide the tribe, so he set him on the quest hoping it would create a humble quality in him.

Xin Kong of the Yuhao tribe is the father to Yu Kong, he has coal coloured fur, dark comforting eyes and usually wears a combination of Blue and white. He is known as the wise and bright Sage of the clan and was said to be truly worthy of the title, currently he resides at the age of 74, an adult for a kong, out of his 'ignorance' as a youth but still with the body of a healthy man. His son, Yu, is far different from his father, filled with pride, confidence and joy. While his father learned martial arts like the rest of the sages, he prefered studying the history of the tribe, for Yu this is not the case, he'd rather train against the other monks and spend his time working his body than read.
