Meiyo smirked, sporting a brand new "Vampire Hunter" attire, as well a magnificently fitting Nyeshk blade.

"My brother, Salthiel Anauel- we are no longer captives of the Baukdengrad remnants. We are free men, and we will return to Huangzhou- glorious. I promised them I would not return without you."

"You are my family."

He would begin to shroud himself in a powerful aura of spirit energy- the effects of Salvas' blood still somewhat lingering within his system, making him twitch and appear sickly.

Through all that pain and suffering, though- through all of those months trapped in the tower... the light shone brighter than it ever did before.

"May we fight- for the first time as free men- and to celebrate many more battles to come."

Salvas looks at the two but then stares straightforward he did not want to look at them. For what he saw.. it wasn't good or evil it was truly just betrayal.

"I am not surprised... it is just like you said .. Evil- You are truly evil betrayal runs in your blood.. that is your curse.. the curse of mortality.


His blade snaps to his hand with a force of chaotic nature. His eyes closed as he thought of what to say but he just couldn't it truly dawned on him of what was happening.

"It's you.... you people.. you people make me to be the monster I am.. I have shown you nothing but what I thought I lost.. love.. and you return it with this...

There was a heat that started to emit from the vampire a rage bursting from within and he.

[21:31] Salthiel’s arms spread out as chains bound them and his feet. Around him were only darkness, noticing that he’s not atop the watch tower anymore. There was only silence not until he heard footsteps drawing near. And then, it stopped.

“You refuse to die. Your hunt is over, lone wolf. You have found the legacy of Usiel,” said the voice as he flashed his eyes open, recognizing a white-haired boy. The same boy from a previous vision, who told him it was time to rest. Because the hunt was over. It was the Eye of Wrath who, within his mind, was taking upon the form of a younger Salthiel.

“The Anauels are predators, but you- you are bound in chains?” asked the boy.

“Or, is it because you wish to become like them?” added the boy as he tilted his head.

“No,” calmly responded Salthiel before closing his eyes as the boy disappeared in thin light.

“LOOK AT ME, ANAUEL. YOU ARE BOUND HERE BECAUSE YOU BECAME WEAK. YOU TURNED SOFT,” said a different voice,raven haired, as he felt his neck wrapped around his fingers, lifting him higher. It was the figure he spoke to, asking if peace or chaos would reign in his mind. It was the manifestation of his Wrath.

He gritted and would part his lips to speak, yet he felt handkerchief drop upon the dark ground. A handkerchief with a cloud stitched on it.

“BEGONE,” commanded Salthiel as the manifestation of his wrath vanished, a tear falling off his cheek.

“Jiuweihu. Why have you abandoned me? I’ve fought my best, didn’t I? To serve you and the light?

By the Emperor’s will, by YOUR will, why is it not always enough? Why can’t I protect my friends and family? My people? Why, from time and time again, I fail to comfort them?

Please answer me,” he pleaded amidst the darkness, gritting his teeth, hearing only his voice and the never-ending silence.

“Listen to the cries from all corners of Eternia; of Agartha. Does it not make you weep? Does it not make you want to give them peace and hope that none of us could give? To give shelter and strength to individuals living amidst war and terror? So, please, by your embrace of compassion and healing, please give them comfort.

And to these chains that bind me. To these afflictions that curse me. Give me strength so I can shatter them. So, once more, I can fight and be a light of hope to these people. Give me strength to push their darkness away!

Allow me one last chance to fight,” Salthiel prayed and cried before being engulfed in Jiuweihu’s warming light.

“Go. Shatter those chains, and once more, fight for the light,” he heard a voice, that shook his core not with dread, but resonated within him calm and comfort. The Emperor’s voice rang through his mind as he felt the angel’s blessing ran through his veins.

And thus, he witnessed white wings and an overwhelming flash of light. And appeared around them were the spiritsof the dead.

“Salthiel. Pride and wrath may run through our blood. But the legacy of Usiel, my son, is not to hunt, to be predators. No, my son,” said a figure among them, donning white locks and features just like Salthiel.

“The legacy of my father, the blood of Usiel, is for us to overcome that hubris, to overcome our wrath. It is to test our will. And to overcome that hurdle is to become a true Anauel. That is our blood. That is the legacy of Usiel,” said the figure.

“My son. Forgive me for abandoning you. That I was not there for you during your times of distress. That I was not there to give you the love that you deserve. However, know that I’ll always be watching you. So, stay strong and keep on fighting, for the Emperor and Jiuweihu will never abandon you. We will be waiting for you. I love you, Salthiel,” said another figure as her hair seemed to flutter with the wind.

“Father, mother,” said Salthiel as tears fell off his eyes, gritting his teeth.

"Bide your time. Do not be rash. Lie if you must, endure, but seize the opportunity when it comes,” another figure said, presence ever so familiar for the Anauel. It was Moriya himself.

“Qilin Moriya,” he said as his lips parted. Though there were no words that came out, only silence. Not until he spoke again.

“I understand. Lie if I must, endure if I must, but seize that opportunity when it comes,” he repeated, closing his eyes in the process.

“Thank you everyone. Thank you,” and thus, his wounds and afflictions were healed, as he felt newfound power run through his veins.

And for so long that he waited, drinking the Voss' blood, lying to them; in the form of Meiyo, an opportunity showed itself.

There, he stood against Salvas.

"I endured your blood, I lied and I tricked you. Call me evil, call me a traitor. Because to you, that is what I am.

And you are right, that it is humanity's sin that causes monsters; that creates monsters. Because, in the end, you are the embodiment of chaos, of humanity's disease," he said before closing his eyes.

"Despite us being the opposite side of coins, you have shown me kindness and love. And I am thankful of that. If only-- if only it was otherwise, then I'd wish for a figure like yourself to be my father," added the Anauel as he flashed his eyes open, pupils burning bright like holy flames as golden wings protruded from his back.

"But I am Salthiel Anauel.

The Herald of Silence.

The Seeker of Legacies," he said, and a pause as he stared at Salvas.

"A Chosen of the Divine."

"And it is my destiny to fight for the good that exists within humanity, to make them realize their sins, and to champion the war against their own. Forgive me Salvas, for I have sinned."

Meiyo grit his teeth, his celebration cut short as Salvas materialized himself before the brothers. Thrusting his fist upward, the Simora opened his palm slightly- the world speaking to him, whispering wordless nothings to his spirit... energizing him.

"My brother- the essence of what I've become, the purpose of my actions, the reason for my bloodshed- you STEAL him from my people... then you dare speak of morality?!"

Once your fate is determined by destiny, nothing can change that.

"Shall I remind you of what the meaning of evil is, almighty Salvas? Feasting upon the innocent, thriving off the blood of others, stealing the free will of my people... drowning yourself in your baseless delusions."

"We are not evil... Salvas- it is you that believes it easy to take what belongs to others. It is YOU who thinks it too easy to rob others of their humanity... And why?"

"Maybe it is because you are lonely- because you realize the abomination you've become since your abduction... Don't you miss being alive?"

Meiyo planted his feet firmly into the ground- unable to bring himself to meddle in Salthiel's actions.

"I am no chosen, Salvas. I am no prophet. I am no hero."

He'd smirking, veins bulging from his skin, Suffering's End humming with a surplus of spirit power. Shouting as loud as he could... the swordsman declared what he truly thought himself to be.

"I am Meiyo of the Simora clan, Keeper of my Brother, Guardian of Huangzhou!"

[21:54] Salvas looks at the new surge of power emitting from both of them. He was surprised he had only seen one of the divines chosen once and even then it was very brief. Once again his eyes close as he faces the two.

"I don't care of your name... I don't care of what you think your doing.. You are nothing to me now.. But a enemy...

salvas would open his eyes again as he looked down to the ground furrow brows given as he thought back to what he had done.

This was disgusting every bit of it left a bad taste within salvas mouth.. When did become so weak? When did I start to care... one death has changed me from my goals.. one death has changed me into something weak....


Let me vow to this moment... let me promise to this moment. That I will NEVER do it again...

I will never let personal empathy come inside of my head..Defile my judgment and lead me to make a stupid choice such as this.


Cains power started to surge from the vampire his messy ponytail becoming undone as the power sent a telekinetic force from beneath him sending dirt rocks and trees flying around. The skies darkened around them as the vampire became enraged.

"LIIIIIAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSS!!!!!! ARRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!!


It would start off as a flash the vampire with sword in hand vanishing side to side slowly making his way to salthiel attempting to send him flying in one swing.


Truly men all men are the creation of chaos.. for there is only peace if it is seeked between their hearts.. but there is never anyone who wants peace... And chaos corrupts the many.

[22:02] "Then enemy I shall be," calmly responded the Anauel, pursing his lips as Salvas fell to rage.

The feeling of betrayal is not foreign to all. And he understood where Salvas was coming from. Salthiel has changed, once cold hearted and merciless; even towards vampires he can sympathize.

Because he realized emotions dwells in each one.

And a tear fell off his cheek, for he knew that he has been taking it for granted. To love, to live and to sympathize.

It was painful, but a pain he would forever endure.

In response to Salvas, the magi stomped his foot against the ground to create a momentum, and upon it was tiny crater as he flew upwards.

Spears of ice revolved around his being, before pointing his staff downwards, sending them upon the vampire.

[22:25] And in this instance... destiny had made up her mind.

"You let yourself be blinded by rage, even in times like these where your people need you at your wisest!"

Meiyo knew that Salvas was strong... but holding his own against two of Huangzhou's finest, by himself? The Vampire's strength was immeasurable, in comparison to the others, at least.

The Simora wouldn't have been able to beat him single-handedly... not yet.

Still, the two fought for their freedom.. and they'd earned it.

Salthiel's newfound golden magic would do wonders against the Voss, whereas Meiyo's raw, focused energy was just enough to repel their enemy, while unfortunately also giving him a window of opportunity to return to his people.

"You condemn us for preserving our humanity... You condemn us for having a CHOICE! On behalf of all of my people... DIE!

Mana... BOMB!"

Meiyo's palm had been charged with spirit energy from before, and as he swerved his hips after pushing himself off the ground- he thrusted the entirety of his left arm forward with intent to blast open Salvas' chest.

But it wouldn't be that easy.

"Gah…"

The energized Mana Bomb would only strike the Vampire's leg- his speed allowing him to dodge most of its impact, sending him dragging across the grass with a cloud of dust rising up- hazing the horizon.

Panting, he stared off- praying that Salvas was still able to hear him through the mayhem.

"Hear me.. ABOMINATION! Every time you come for my people... Every time you dare rob an innocent of their soul... I will stop you! I will make you regret your curse, and you monsters will perish- even if it is the last promise I ever make."

"Through the darkness... I will always be there- the hand of the maimed, the voice of the silent, the eye of the blind, the sound of the deaf... We will meet again."

He'd attempt to grab his brother by his arm, hastily making an exit before the entire remnant settlement began their hunt of Meiyo and Salthiel.

[22:33] Struck down and defeated the vampire would do a quick dash backward as he listened to the soldier scream. His eyes closed once more in his vampiric float.

Blindsided by rage?... No the only thing he was blindsided by was trusting too easily. A mistake that won't is made again.


Sanguine eyes looked over the two with blood spilling from their tear ducts and his mouth stained with blood as well. It wasn't hard to tell that the vampire was not strong enough to fight two at the same time.

"Blind sided by rage?...

He thought about his cousin Lucien and all that he had done compared to his own achievements.

Maybe that was the problem.. perhaps he needed to be blindsided by rage

Floating upward and letting the two escape with no chase the vampire would leave little words with every breath taken from the two.

"Yes.. I was foolish.. Foolish to trust them...

Once again cains power started to surge from him as true Rage started to take him over.


A smile- the first smile since emings death had come back to him in a sinister grin.

"BUT I GIVE YOU MY SOLEM WORD.... I WILL SHOW YOU TRUE RAGE!


For all the light you said you have within you, I only hope that it protects you... And help you through what's to come.. For the night is long and filled with monsters... The ones you create.

[22:47] Even with the Emperor's blessing, Salvas was still able to contend. Without Meiyo, the sight of victory would be slim.

Truly, he was a being to behold; he who belongs to the forces of the night.

"Darkness consumes us,

evil corrupt us,

death dawns on us,

in times of misery,

grace us light!"

As the newfound blessing of an angel entered his veins, so did also words that manifested within his mind.

Feathers of light from his wings fell from up high, shattering the would be defenses of the vampire, serving Meiyo by giving him an opportunity to combat Salvas from up close.

The duo's combined strength spelled their victory, as Salthiel, drained of his mana fell to the ground; on his knees as Salvas proclaimed his wrath.

"Our fight. Our war. It has just begun," said Salthiel to Meiyo as he was assisted to stand up.

Let the light give us hope for what is to come. Let humanity not perish from the chaos they create. Leave them a chance for redemption, to give them another chance to undo their sins.

And with that, the brothers would make haste for their escape.
