Pukin had already pulled out her sword, and Sonia was standing in front of her, ready to bear upon her foes. This is the first time Frederica’s seen Pukin’s serious face since the jailbreak. She was neither grinning, smiling arrogantly, nor was she displaying her bad mood in her eyes. She flashed her expressionless look towards Mao Pam.

Mao Pam’s face also seemed to mirror Pukin’s expression. They evaluated each other, before coming to the same conclusion. They properly recognized each other as powerful opponents.
