  14. V1 Changes:

  16. -Added the decisions from PDM to create Italy as a puppet like can be done with Yugoslavia.

  18. >Italian Irredentism cannot be fired if Italy is a puppet.

  20. >Added a decision for Austria to create Italy in a way that would be acceptable for Metternich

  22. >Initially the Italian Peninsula is divided into Lombardy, Sicily, Sardinia, and a Papal Rump state Austria also gets cores on Venice.

  24. >By 1860, Austria gets an event to unite Italy under the rule of the Lombards, Sicilians, or the Pope.

  26. -Added decisions to create Iberian Union (must have imaginary countries enabled in the optional decisions at start up) and Scandinavia as puppets

  30. -In order to reduce the amount of occurrences where a puppet becomes a great power leaving your control only to fall back into being a secondary power, I changed the modifiers for puppets so they have zero prestige and higher cost for factories. This makes it a bit harder for them to become great powers, but given a high enough industry and military score they will still break free.

  32. -After the Treaty of New York and if the CSA wins the civil war, the United States will release California, Texas, and Deseret and become the FSA.

  34. -Added some a decision for California and Texas to Manifest their Western Destiny if the New York Treaty occurred.

  36. -After the Second French Empire annexes the Rhineland, the North and South German Confederation and the Austria/Austro-Hungarian Empire will call the Leipzig Congress and unite to form the German Confederation. Hopefully this will give the Second French Empire a late game boss.

  38. V2 Changes:

  40. -Now when you form Iberia or Scandinavia as puppet you get an event that lets you decide which nationality is primary culture and where the capital is.

  42. >If you form Iberia with Catalan as the primary, but own Barcelona, the Iberian capital will be moved to Valencia

  44. >Russia can form a Scandinavia led by the Finns
  45.  
  46. >Estonia and Karelia can be added to Scandinavia like Albania can be to Yugoslavia

  48. -If your capital is in Europe or South America, the Papal States is not a theocracy, and is your puppet, there is a decision to restore the Pope back on his throne. (Note: trying to find a better way to do this were the decision is only available with a Catholic state religion)

  50. -The Crusade for Canada: If the United States takes Oregon after the Oregon Crisis with the United Kingdom and has Jingoism or promilitary as its war policy, America can go to war with the United Kingdom over Canada.

  52. >This functions similarly to the French-British War over Canada although in the American-British war both countries have the war goal to cut each other down to size

  54. >If America wins, it wins big. Not only does the United States secure cores on Canada but it also kicks the British out of the New World taking its spheres and colonies.

(Note: I'm not exactly sure how all of this will affect the Second French Empire's war for the New World but I've disabled the Crusade for Canada if the Untied States has the Treaty of New York or France owns Canada.)

  61. -If America is defeated by the British during the Crusade for Canada or if the it loses to France with the Treaty of New York, Mexico gets the option to reconquest lost territory from the Mexican American war.

  70. >After the Crusade for Canada is won, the United States can take a series of decisions that allow it to drive the European Powers out of the New World using a new CB.

  131. >Should Germany have an anti-war or pacifist government in power, it can attempt to negotiate with France over the provinces of Elsaß-Lothringen. If the French accept, Germany will return Lorraine and France will give up claims to Elsaß. The region will then be renamed to Elsaß-Lorraine.

  133. >A fascist government in either country can revoke this treaty and reassert claims.

  135. -Diplomatic Annexation

  137. >A great power country can attempt to peacefully seize its cores from a non-vassal country that is within its sphere of influence. The great power will take its territory from the sphered country, at the expense of losing that country from its sphere of influence. Only a player country can use this decision. This is more of a loose idea rather than a concrete game mechanic, and it can be disabled.

  144. V3.5 Changes:

  146. -The tag for Southern Italian led Italy can now use events and decisions made for regular Italy.

  148. -Added a decision and event chain related to a great power attempting to negotiate a Treaty on Transylvania.
  149. +Requires that both Romania and Hungary be in your sphere of influence, and at least one of them owns some or all of Transylvania.
  150. +You can attempt to create a treaty that favors Hungary or Romania, or one that partitions Transylvania.
  151. +If either Romania, Hungary, or both countries refuse to sign the treaty, you can choose to force the treaty onto them in exchange for infamy.
  152. +If the treaty is a success, cores and ownership of Transylvania will change based on the specifics of the treaty.
  153.  
  154. -Additions to New Africa
  155. +The Free States of America can fund a slave revolt in either the USA or CSA if they still practice slavery. A successful revolt will result in the creation of New Africa.
  156. *The revolt is dynamic and will either be large or small depending on how much the FSA invests and where it appears.
  157. +Added decision for New Africa to decide its capital.
  158. +Afro-American pops should now choose to migrate to New Africa with increased frequency.
  159. +Added a country modifier that increases population growth.
  160. +Added province modifier that addresses racial tensions in New Africa.

  173. This submod requires the installation of the latest version of HFM. To use this submod, install it as a normal mod. Both HFM and this submod must be checked in the launcher in order for it to work. Make sure to delete previous versions of the mod.
