Mik vs Corv.

Corv wins.

Combo Man has been deemed OOT.

Its very unfortunate that Mikhail spends roughly a third of each response talking about how great and awesome CM's blasts are only for none of it to really matter in the end. Furthermore its unfortunate that Mikhail's strategy is at the start of the match for his team to spam their long ranged attacks. Except now his heaviest hitter is gone, his team now is disadvantaged in numbers, and another member of his team is in my opinion utterly useless.


I dont believe Taniel has any real offensive options against the 2 opponents he's most likely to target. Kharnivore is only able to be put down by multi-second sustained fire from superior weapons, and multiple shooters, I think the idea that Taniel gets off more than 2 shots without Kharnivore being on top of his is ridiculous, and those 2 shots while powerful are not able to do significant enough damage to Kharnivore to kill or incap.

The second verse is the same as the first. While Mik can bring up the fact that the Jeepers Creepers gets staggered by a handgun or a flare gun or whatever it is, the Vulcan feat still exists. And I cant see the same Creeper who takes all those shots dying to a musket ball or 5 or 100. I think the absolute best interpretation of Taniel and his abilities leaves him entirely unable to do meaningful damage to Creeper while also having to pull double duty and either support Mako in his fight with the Kharnivore or having to deal with Raizo while Mako also tries to pull double duty with Creeper and Kharnivore.


This leaves Mako as the only real damage dealer that team Super Smash Brothers (SSB) has. However I think Corvette preemptively dismantles Mako's esoteric offense in his first response. Corvette challenges Mikhail to "show me one feat of Mako seriously and consciously injuring another person by burning them with fire as opposed to throwing them around with direct hits, not even singing their clothing" and Mikhail simply cant. In his rebuttal Mikhail shows Mako blowing apart monsters, which are non humans. Shows him killing someone with not fire, and shows him not killing someone. Mikhail significantly harps on Corvettes proposed ideas that his characters have no feats for (like Creeper throwing people off the helicarrier) but immediately does the same thing about his only damage dealing characters main attack vector. This isnt to say that Mako will never use a heat component in his fire attacks, just that I do not believe he would start by making his fire as hot as possible, and as he is disadvantaged in terms of numbers he does not have time to fuck around.


I think that Mako's lighting would do significant damage to Creeper or Raizo if it were to land, however Corvette calls doubt on the efficacy of it doing exactly that. If Mako cant accurately hit Amon, why would Mako be able to hit a character with significantly more mobility options, like Creepers flight, or Raizo's teleportation.

This leaves Mako with the always impressive concussive force of the fire blasts, and while I do believe that Mako is boulder busting with his blasts, I doubt its enough to significantly injure Kharnivore and as she is the most likely target, I fail to see why Mako would choose instead to target Raizo, Creeper would probably die to enough sustained blasts.


Ultimately I think this fight comes down to 3 factors. Mikhails team is outnumbered, his teams strategy of "blast them until they die" does not work when 2/3rds of Corvettes team wont be blasted to death, and ultimately Kharnivore is a very good pick who will in my opinion take out at least 1 of Mikhails team members before she dies, leaving this as essentially a 2v1 fight Taniel has no shot of winning, and Mako only has a impossibly slim chance.
