  1. A ~~short~~ summary of the campaign so far:
  2. The group and their interrogator Lillia is put in charge of an investigation into an elusive and rare drug that has surfaced on Scintilla, which bears trace elements of xeno DNA in the (now defunct) samples the Ordos got their hands on. The existence of this drug is a hushed secret moving among the hives slagpunk society, and they eventually manage to pinpoint the gang currently distributing this drug, which has kept underground. They learn its a highly exclusive drug that that only a select few are allowed to partake of with wild mysteries and games of deduction in who is chosen to be invited to the VIP parlour in the back. They find out what the drug(called Flamesoul) does when one of their undercover socialites is picked, tries to slip the drug out, but are forced to ingest it under the watchful eyes of the gang. The drug awakens latent psychic abilities in people, which involves a recessive psychic gene that normally would never manifest. The players rescue their now very recent psyker(corruption and insanity points ahooy), capture a stasis-box filled with the drug and make their way to continue the investigation.

  4. Further prodding makes them find that some of the people whom have taken this drug has disappeared, and all signs to those that did disappear is that they had received a psychic awakening. Their leads go back to a local church, of which a second party was coercing the priests into helping them pinpoint those whom had received a psychic awakening. The players tracks down an agent of this shadowy group and capture her. But just as they bring her to their interrogator to be interrogated, planetary raid alarms blare out across the hive. An Eldar ship has slipped into the atmosphere and are raiding the planet, and the players find themselves suspiciously targeted. Withstanding an assault of a few rangers and Guardians on their field-HQ, they are rescued by their Inquisitor and brought to safety, though not before they lose their captive. They find this turn out of event very suspicious, and wonder what connection the Xenos witches have to their investigation, and why they seemingly seem to try and hinder them.

  6. At this point however they have pieced together a connection with their captive and a rogue trader family called Sarimarcus. Said Rogue Trader has conveniently escaped to parts unknown during the chaos of the Eldar raid. Digging more they find more evidence that points to the rogue trader having dealt with human cargo transported up from Scintilla, and having provided the drug to the gangs on the surface. Their Inquisitor ordains them as fully-fledged Throne-Agents working directly under his Interrogator, grants Interrogator Lillia a ship and orders to pursue the Sarimarcus, and they set off after one of a few leads to look for a family cousin, who seemed to be living in exile from the family and serving as a Lieutenant in the Imperial Guard on some emperor-forsaken battleground. Lillia hides the fact that one of their players is now an unsanctioned psyker from their very puritan Inquisitor, pulls on favors and gets her a crash-course in a non Astra-Telepathica facility of semi-sanctioned Psykers working under more flexible Inquisitors. Exit chapter 1.

  8. Chapter 2 of the story is them traveling to the battlezone Neptilos, a knight world embroiled in some sort of recidivism. This chapter is more filler-ish, but essentially they find a stagnated battlezone where parts of the Guard has made planetfall and seemingly left to die on the planet, the navy and guard high command is not willing to do anything, which they later find out is due to the unnatural long reach of the Sarimarcus family has convinced key people to ensure that their wayward cousin meets an untimely end on the battlefield. Unfortunately he is extremely popular with the troops, so the high command is willing to sacrifice part of their forces to get rid of him. Enter the players, who starts unraveling the plot within the Navy/Guards, is beset by attempts on their life within the fleet, makes an uneasy alliance with a strange priest in order to rescue their Interrogator from navy security, rescues and allies themselves with the young hotheaded Baroness, a knight Paladin pilot and makes planetfall together to find the Lieutenant. They find out that the "recidivism" is purely an internal civil war, the young Baroness' elder brother was supposed to lead the house, but essentially chickened out on bonding their ancestral Knight, fearing it would reject him. She saw this as weakness and unworthiness to lead and bonded successfully with the knight instead, and so claimed leadership of their house, showing that she was clearly had the balls he did not. But tradition being tradition a lot of their vassals did not like that, including her brother, while others saw her brother as the one breaking tradition by not bonding the ancestral Knight.
  9.
  10. They find the Lieutenant and help his beleaguered forces escape from an encirclement with the help of the Baroness Knights, but not before chaos wrecks lose on the planet. Taking advantage of the already fractured structure of the imperial forces, Alpha Legionnaire cultists have unleashed mass rioting on multiple ships, even taking control of a few smaller ones and crashing them into the planet on key defensive installations, including the Baroness ancestral homestead. At the same time Legion ships have exited the warp and are approaching the planet. While only the size of a raiding fleet, the Imperial one is in so much disarray that they can't stop them from reaching the planet. The players help the guardsmen reunite with more of their forces to create an unexpected and united front against the Alpha Legion, they extract a load of valuable information from the Liuetenant, enough to damn his family for an eternity, and also a highly encrypted message that he had managed to smuggle out as collateral. They leave the world and return to Scintilla, the Baroness having sworn a blood debt to them and opting to go with them(also to find someone to repair her knight, which was heavily damaged when a void ship fell on her city.) They get back to Scintilla, lead a purge of the Sarimarcus interests, hidden assets and anyone associated with them, and their techpriest finishes work on decrypting the dataslate, during which he is attacked by a malignant, almost sentient code inside the encryption, which he finds highly disturbing. Its a recorded conversation with their quarry, who refers to field tests that must be performed, and if results are favourable are to be "taken to Eden". They are currently scouring cogitator-banks for any reference to Eden. Meanwhile, because of the chaos and shortages caused by the 13th black crusade, as well as the players Inquisitor having gone missing, the Ordo Xenos on Scintilla promotes Lillia to a fully-fledged Inquisitor. New to her position however, she has been strongly advised by her peers to drop the Investigation for something more pressing to the current crisis, so they have the Ordos breathing down their necks at this point.
  11.
  12. And here's where we are now. I am contemplating them on the verge of abandoning the Investigation, but attacked in desperation by agents of the Rogue Trader(including what seems like slave-psykers), a reckless attack that in the end would serve to strengthen their resolve. Or they find a place called Eden, which somehow leads them closer to their quarry. They need some strong piece of lead to pursue, in spite of the skeptics of the other Inquisitors.
