Covet: Felix was out back smoking a joint as he laid on his back, Nugget laying next to him, also on his back, with his tongue out, while Felix was scratching his belly with his free hand.
Alexithymiaa: -Steph laid on a towel next to Felix completely stretched out, her eyes set on the starry sky. She inhaled deeply, a little lost in her own thoughts after her trip to New York. She had pretty much everything already organized for the party tomorrow because that's totally been planned for weeks, and had tonight to sort of unwind after an eventful weekend.-
Covet: Felix offered the joint in his hand over to her, and then turned this head to her, " What's on your mind over there Red?
Covet: [FUCK]
Covet: *" he aksed her, turning a litle so he didn't disturb his dog.
Alexithymiaa: -She heard him speak, but because she was so lost in her own thoughts, she wasnt actually listening. She turned her head to look at him, reaching out to take the joint before realizing he was actually speaking to her. "Huh? Sorry." She brought the joint to her lips which was definitely not going to help her focus.-
Covet: "Space case, I asked you what you were thinking about over there." he told her with a laugh.
Alexithymiaa: "Oh." She reached out to pass the joint back to him, her eyes focusing back on the sky. "I like the stars. I grew up never really being able to see them because of all the light pollution from the city."-
Covet: "Ah, we'll have to go lay outside next time we're back in Tuscson. It's really nice out there too." He said with a smile, " So, what all went down this weekend with the label?" Felix asked
Alexithymiaa: "We should do that." She spoke in a bit of a spacey voice, pausing for a long minute. "Well they expressed some concern about being able to promote the album if I'm not able to get around very easily. The solution for the time being is acoustic shows on the West coast so I can sit and it won't be expected to be running or dancing. They're in the process of having our manager line up a contract with a few of the local plays so we can regularly play there and build some hype and they made us commit to a one day a week schedule of performances. And they booked a shoot for me with Rocksound magazine."-
Covet: "Hey that's all great news. I'm glad they're making this work. I know it's not exactly going to be easy, and it's not how you initially planned it. But it's still forward momentum." He said with a smile, "And the rest of the weekend?" Felix asked her.
Alexithymiaa: "I just hope it's enough. That was their concern." She chewed on the inside of her cheek before exhaling deeply. "The rest of the weekend....." She paused before speaking again. "I enjoy spending time with CJ."-
Covet: "I know you'll work as hard as you can at what you're allowed to do." Felix said with a smile then tilted her head to the side, "Yeah? What did you two get up to?"
Alexithymiaa: "She took me to her favorite store in Brooklyn and we bought shoes. I spent most of my weekend on their couch, so we watched some movies and just sort of hungout. And I'm fairly certain she's the only reason that Bryan wasnt screaming at me all weekend." She moved her arms behind her head, propping it up in a pillow-like fashion.-
Covet: "Small graces then. I'm glad you were able to at least enjoy parts of your trip where Bryan wanted to ride your ass all weekend. I kind of went off on him when he messaged me about it. " Felix said rubbing the back of his head.
Alexithymiaa: "What?" She asked quickly, her head turning to look at him. "He messaged you? What did he say? What did you say?"-
Covet: Felix held up his hand, "Calm down, don't get all paranoid on me now. He just wanted to rail on me a bit for not telling him, and I told him you think I didn't encourage that, I was letting her get to it on her own, it's not like he wasn't going to know the second they picked you up from the airport." Felix said with a shrug. "I also convinced him not to take warped tour from you."
Alexithymiaa: "I didnt want to tell him because he's a fucking tyrant about this shit." She blurted out, sitting up so she could look down at him. "He wasnt going to stop me from going to Warped Tour. I'd army crawl through the gates if I had to, but I knew exactly how he would react and he did. He did exactly what I knew he would do and that's force me to get the surgery before I'm ready." Her eyes started to swell with tears. "I told him I would do it eventually, that I just wasnt ready right now and he didnt care. He doesnt care how I feel or the fact that this is something I needed to work up to in my own mind."-
Covet: "Steph. I'm not going to say I'm sorry. Because you can't sit there and tell me that you honestly thought he wasn't going to know, once you got there. I didn't even have to say anything to him about any of it. You're not going to be crawling around at Warped Tour. If anything you're going to be thrilled at how you're getting around." He said with a slightly annoyed tone, but he choked it down, and pursed his lips. " Steph, have you stopped to think about the fact that you might not have an eventually? I can only guess as to how bad it is, considering the doctor said surgery was going to be a must when this all went down . But I also know it's worse than what you want to let on. Sometimes, baby birds need pushed out of the nest. This is one of those times." He told her with a shrug. "I'll be here for you the whole way."
Alexithymiaa: "I'm not blaming you, I'm blaming him. I just wanted to be able to handle this and schedule this on my own. For myself, and he couldnt even let me do that. Why wouldnt I have an eventually?" She asked sharply. "If I can tolerate how it feels, why can't he just let me until I'm ready? When I told him how terrified I am to do this again, he flat out said he didnt care." She lifted her hand to her face, swiping her fingers beneath her eyes. "What do you mean I'm going to be thrilled at how Im getting around?"-
Covet: "I told him the same thing. So I'm not entirely on his side. I mean I don't think you should be putting this off any more. In the time you've tried doing this without surgery, it's only gotten worse. And the longer you wait, the harder the surgery is going to be, and the harder it's going to be to repair. I know it's terrifying, but I know you've faced worse, and you're still here, still alive. So out of all the daunting and terrifying things that have happened, You're going to let one bum knee bring you down?" He asked her, then rolled his eyes, "Hopefully, it will be all four of us, but... Zack said that you could be pushed around through the backstage areas, and Cadence could go with you since it'd be safer for you both back there."
Alexithymiaa: "No, but-" She stopped herself, not even really sure what her rebutle was. "A tear is a tear. It shouldnt get any harder to repair if I waited another couple weeks..." She dropped her chin down to sulk a little because she didnt really have an excuse other than just flat out avoiding it. "Wait, when di dyou talk to Zack?"-
Covet: "A tear, can turn into a rip, which can turn into a complete detachment. And from what I've read up on. You really don't want to have to do the procedures to for them to fix that, if you can't handle this one." Felix told her in a serious tone. Then he rolled his eyes, "This weekend . I got his number from your brother. I told him if I could secure you a safe means around warped tour, that he wouldn't take it away from you. So.. I called the only person who'd bend over backwards, and was already going to be there, to help you."
Alexithymiaa: -She slowly lifted her head to look at him, staring at his face. "You texted Zack for help?" She repeated, kind of in shock. "And he said we could walk around backstage all day?"-
Covet: Felix was doing his best not to look at her because he still hated that he even gave Zack the time of day, but it was a small sacrifice to make, especially if it meant Steph could still see the performances, without being plowed over by people. "Yeah, to both of those. He wasn't sure if he could get Remy and I, but He said you and Cadence are in for sure."
Alexithymiaa: -A slow smile crept over her face because she knew how he felt about Zack. Scooting across the ground on her butt, she leaned over, wrapping her arms around him. "Thank you. It means a lot to me that you would reach out like that for me. And I'm sure he'll be able to work out two more passes. I don't know if they're only allowed so many per artist or something, but if that's the case I'm sure there's extra passes someone isn't using."-
Covet: "Yeah, He was probably just being safe, and preparing us incase they couldn't swing it. No biggie." Felix said, through almost gritted teeth, because he knew Zack was being an intentional ass that day. He pulled her in close to him and wrapped his arms around her in return, "Of course. It's the last warped tour, and I wasn't going to let you miss that."
Alexithymiaa: -She nuzzled her face into his chest, staying close to him. "I'm happy I still get to go and enjoy it in style, I just wish it weren't the last one. Half because it's always been fun to go to, and half because I was hoping that once we were successful enough, we'd be invited to the tour."-
Covet: "Yeah that is kind of a bummer. It'd been cool to see you play up there." he told her, not letting her know about what had aparently alread been planned. " But, there will always be other festivals that you guys will play for. So it's not a complete loss."
Alexithymiaa: "I know. I'd like to eventually get to play like... Download or Reading and Leeds, but international festivals are kind of a ways away for us." She gave a shrug. "Right now we need to worry about practicing our set acoustically to get ready for the upcoming shows."-
Covet: "Very True, Make sure that the label has nothing to worry about. While you're recovering." Felix told her rubbing his hand along her back.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah...." She trailed off, pursing her lips. "I just wish Bryan weren't insistent on being here to try to help."-
Covet: "I know. But I'll be here so there's no reason for him to be here other than to be supportive." Felix told her, giving her shoulders a squeeze.
Alexithymiaa: -She raised her brows, tipping her head so she could look at his face. "You know that's not going to be how this goes, right?"-
Covet: "It will be if I have anything to say about it." He told her in a serious tone. "I will be like a god damn mother hen over you and shoving him out of the room any time he starts getting you worked up, and I'll even put my face in the way of his fist if I need to."
Alexithymiaa: "Arizona..." She started, taking a deep breath. "I don't want him punching you. And I don't want to be babied. You're my boyfriend, not my mother. And he's not my mother either. The only person who I would ever allow to mother me, is your mom. You can help me if I need help, but please don't smother me."-
Covet: "I won't. I'm just going to be your knight in Straw armor to keep him from stressing you out. And maybe I'll have my mom come up so that she can get after Bryan. Then nobody will be punched." He told her.
Alexithymiaa: "I really don't want to bother your mom. She's done a lot for me already and I don't think it's necessary for her to be here. I'll be fine. And maybe we can convince Bryan to spend more time with my dad than here."-
Covet: "Are you kidding me, you won't bother her at all. She'd happily come up here and play mom for you. She misses having people to take care of. I think it'd be hilarious for Bryan to try to steam roll my mom." Felix said laughing.
Alexithymiaa: "I don't know..." She trailed off, not really liking the idea of having another person around to watch her be miserable. "I guess it doesn't really matter how I feel about it though." She said with a defeated shrug and glancing toward the house.-
Covet: "I promise she won't baby you, if anything She'll lay in bed with you and binge watch musicals with you. It will be nice company." He told her with a smile. " She always helps brighten your mood, so you know it's not going to be that bad."
Alexithymiaa: "I'd prefer to have you lay in bed with me and binge watch musicals." She said with a pout because she kind of just knew there was no way that he would make it through that.-
Covet: "You and I both know I'd get through about one and a half before I was itching to go do something else. And I will still do that one and a half with you and Mom, and maybe come back for like the sixth one. Unless I can convince you both to watch Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog. Then I'll defnintely watch that one with you guys." Felix told her.
Covet: *watch that one with you guys too
Alexithymiaa: "Considering no one is going to let me do anything until Warped Tour, I think we can add that to the line up of things I intend to watch if it guarantees you watching it with me." She said with a small smile. "Okay, you can talk to her about it, but she doesnt have to come. I don't need her to. It's up to her if she wants to or not."-
Covet: "I will present it to her just like that. That it's not necessary, but if she's free and would like to that the guest room is open to her, and Bryan can go suffer at your dad's." He said then went to get up, so he could help her up too.
Alexithymiaa: "Okay." She reached her hands up to take his so he could help pull her upright. "That's pending my dad actually letting him stay there. Maybe he could stay with Nick. I don't know..."-
Covet: "Well if Mom's here, that means he can't be here, which means less of him harassing you. Which is only going to make things easier for you." Felix told her as heleaned down to get her to her feet then lifted her up, tucking his arm under her knees to cradle her as he walked back to the house, whistling for Nugget and Penny both.
