X-23 and the Infinity Gauntlet


"At last, they are mine", Thanos declares, as he puts the final Infinity Stone into the Infinity Gauntlet. the Time, Soul, Space, Mind, Power, and Reality stones had been scattered across the cosmos, but Thanos had assembled them all. The Avengers had tried to stop him but now lay dead or dying at his feet. Thanos holds his arm that he's wearing the Infinity Gauntlet on up in triumph and portals opens up over him. without warning a 12 year-old girl falls out of one and lands right on top of Thanos. Before Thanos can react, the girl extends claws from her hands and feet. There's two claws protruding from each hand and one from each foot. In a matter of seconds, the girl decapitates Thanos. As the titan's headless body topples over, the girl slices off the arm that has the Infinity Gauntlet on it. The portals over head close up as the arm hits the ground. The girl leaps down and removes the Gauntlet from the arm and places her own hand inside it. She is surprised when the gauntlet shrinks down so it's a perfect fit on her arm. She holds her arm out to try and open a portal. One of the stones glows, but instead of opening a portal, it hits the Avengers with light, reviving them.

	"Wonder if I could revive Logan and the Professor with this thing", the girl murmurs. Captain America and Iron Man start to approach her. The girl panics and makes a portal open. Seconds later, she has vanished.

	The girl, Laura, finds herself outside a gigantic castle. she sees some kind of weird sports field nearby. People are flying around on brooms inside it. Some have red uniforms on, while the rest have green uniforms on.

	"10 points to Gryffindor", Laura hears an announcer yell. She walks into the stadium and sees that some of the people on broom sticks are passing a large ball back and forth and trying to toss it through a series of really tall hoops. Laura hears the sound of wings beating and notices a tiny golden winged ball fluttering near her. One of the guys in red suddenly swoops down and flies right at her.

	Laura ducks as the guy flies over her and grabs at the winged ball. A ball larger than the winged ball, but smaller than the one being thrown by the players, suddenly appears and zooms right at the guy who is chasing after the winged ball. A player in red hits the zooming ball with a large bat and knocks it away, but now its heading for Laura herself. Instinctively, Laura pops out her claws and slashes the ball in half as the boy finally catches the winged ball.

	"Harry Potter has caught the Snitch. Gryffindor wins", the announcer yells. With the game over, Laura walks away from the stadium. The boy from before walks up behind her.

	"You really should pick a better place to watch Quidditch from", the boy remarks, "by the way, my name's Harry Potter".

	"Laura Kinney", Laura responds. Harry notices the Infinity Gauntlet on her arm.

	"Nice gauntlet", He remarks.

	"it's not from around here", Laura explains, "and neither am I". She holds her arm out and tries to open another portal, but nothing happens. Then, the ground under them warps. Laura and Harry sink into the warped ground and find themselves in some kind of chamber with snake decorations everywhere, and a giant snake husk lying on the ground.

	"This is the Chamber of Secrets. I killed that Basilisk three years ago after it abducted a friend of mine and brought her down here" Harry explains. Laura holds the gauntlet out and warps the two of them back up to the surface.

	"You sure you know how to work that thing?", Harry asks. Before Laura can answer, a woman dressed from head to toe in pink struts across the castle grounds and approaches them.

	"Dolores Umbridge", Harry explains to Laura, "she's a control freak who's been wrecking Hogwarts all year. She keeps coming up with new rules and its getting annoying".

	"Then I'll make her disappear", Laura suggests. She points the Infinity Gauntlet at Umbridge.

	"Young Lady!", Umbridge yells, "point that thing somewhere else". There's a flash of light and Umbridge vanishes. Something falls to the ground where Umbridge had been standing. Harry and Laura wall up to it and find the object is a doll that looks just like Umbridge.

	"Not what I meant to do, but it works", Laura remarks. As she picks up the doll, Another of the gauntlet's stones glows and Laura is warped away, leaving Harry standing there alone.

	Laura finds herself outside a building with the words STAB labs as a red blurr collides with her. Laura recovers and realizes the red blurr was a man in a red costume with lighting-bolt symbols on it.

	"Watch where you are going", Laura yells.

	"Sorry", the man in the red costume apologizes, "By the way, i'm Barry. If you can't tell, I can move at super speeds"

	"I'm Laura", Laura responds, "I have healing powers, adamantium claws, and this here Infinity Gauntlet. I'm still trying to figure out how to work the gauntlet".

	"My friend Cisco may be able to help you get back to whatever universe you came from", Barry suggests. Laura follows Barry into the STAR labs building. Barry leads Laura to a room where a guy with long black hair and big weird-looking goggles is waiting.

	"This girl appeared from out of no where right as I got back to the building. She's likely from another universe and needs help getting home. I think that gauntlet she's wearing dragged her out of her universe and into ours. She said she hasn't quite learned how to control it yet", Barry explains. Cisco places his hand on the Infinity Gauntlet and immediately sees visions of Laura taking the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos. He also sees visions of Laura with someone he knows is named Logan.

	"Laura here is from Earth-616, but in the future. She was dragged back through time by a villain named Thanos whom she defeated  and took the Infinity Gauntlet from. She has some connection to a man named Logan too.", Cisco remarks.

	"The name Logan sounds familiar", Barry remarks. Then, he remembers Laura mentioning having adamantium claws and realizes where he'd heard the name Logan before. Barry zooms off and returns a second later with a bunch of X-Men comics. He shows them to Cisco.

	"Logan is the mutant Wolverine. Furthermore, he has a "daughter" (actually a female clone of himself) named Laura whose codename is X-23. This girl we have here is X-23 herself, Laura Kinney", Barry exclaims.

	"So you've heard of me", Laura remarks, "that mean you'll help me get home?"

	"Definitely", Cisco yells, "Maybe i'll go with you and get your dad's autograph".

	"Logan isn't one for signing autographs", Laura explains. Cisco opens a "breach", which is a portal between universes.

	"This should get you home", Cisco informs her. Laura steps into the breach, but the Infinity Gauntlet begins sparking with energy. The energy begins destabilizing the portal. Laura vanishes seconds before the portal collapses.

	Laura finds herself inside some kind of card shop. There's an old man behind the register, and a spiky-haired teenage boy standing nearby. The boy has an upside-down golden pyramid pendant around his neck. He doesn't seem surprised at the sight of a girl appearing from out of no where.

	"Now where am I", Laura wonders.

	"You're in my grandpa's card shop", the boy answers, "My name's Yugi". He notices the Infinity Gauntlet.

	"Grandpa, is that gauntlet a Millennium Item?, Yugi asks the old man.

	"It's not any Millennium Item I've ever heard of", Yugi's grandpa responds.

	"My name's Laura", Laura explains, "what kind of cards are these you have? they look interesting".

	"Duel Monsters cards", Yugi answers, "You wanna learn to play the game?"

	"Sure", Laura responds. For the next few hours, Yugi and his grandpa teach Laura how to duel and help her build a powerful dueling deck. after practicing with her dueling deck, Laura decides to have a serious duel with Yugi. Before they can begin the duel, the Infinity gauntlet begins sparking and Laura vanishes in a flash of light.

	Laura finds herself outside a school on an island. A boy in a red jacket runs up to her.

	"I just saw you appear out of no where", the boy remarks. He notices the Infinity Gauntlet, as well as the deck of Duel Monsters cards Laura is holding.

	"I really need to get a manual for this thing", Laura remarks, "By the way, my name's Laura".

	"I'm Jaden Yuki", the boy explains, "Are you a duelist?"

	"I just learned how to play the game. a boy named Yugi taught me. I was about to duel him when I got transported to where ever I am now", Laura explains.

	"I definitely wanna duel you now", Jaden screams, "It's not every day I get to duel someone that Yugi taught". Laura and Jaden quickly begin to duel. After a struggle, Laura defeats Jaden.

	"Does this place have a card shop?", Laura asks, "I could stand to beef up my deck". Jaden leads Laura into the school, which he explains is Duel Academy, a school for duelists. Laura obtains some new cards from the card shop and changes up her deck. She starts to ask Jaden for another duel, but the Infinity Gauntlet activates again and Laura vanishes in a flash of light.

	Laura next finds herself in Neo Domino City, where she meets Yusei Fudo and obtains some Tuner and Synchro monsters. After that, she gets warped to Heartland City, where she meets Yuma Tsukumo and obtains some Xyz monsters, including Number cards. After that, she is transported to Paradise City and meets Yuya Sakaki, who teaches her Pendulum Summoning. Laura takes note that, each time she was warped somewhere where she found Duel Monsters duelists, the same stone in the Infinity Gauntlet had lit up. As Laura examines the Infinity gauntlet, she makes another stone light up. There's an even brighter light as Laura vanishes this time.

	Laura finds herself on an island in the middle of the ocean. She sees a raft on the beach, and there's a girl unconscious next to it. Laura walks over and lifts the girl up onto the raft. The girl wakes up and is surprised to see Laura. Laura jumps back and extends her claws, but the ocean behind the other girl rises up and smacks Laura.

	"Sorry about that", the other girl apologizes, "anyway, my name's Moana".

	"I'm Laura", Laura responds. A big man covered in tattoos approaches them.

	"Maui", Moana exclaims.

	"You know this guy?", Laura asks

	"He's a demi-god and I've been looking for him", Moana explains. She shows Laura a green jewel.

	"I need him to return this to Te Fiti", Moana explains. Maui overhears this

	"I'm not going back there. I need to find my hook. I'm powerless without it", Maui explains.

	"You'll help Moana or you'll be headless too!", Laura shouts. She extends her claws and holds one so its almost touching Maui's throat. Maui realizes Laura might be useful to him.

	"I'll help Moana if you help me get my hook back", Maui suggests.

	"Fine", Laura decides. The three of them sail until they reach an island with a tall mountain on it.

	"I'm pretty sure Tamatoa has my hook. He's probably in there", Maui explains. The three of them climb up the mountain and jump into an opening. after falling through a small ocean inside the mountain they find themselves in some kind of cave filled with odd creatures. Maui points to a giant crab with all manner of gold and jewels covering his shell.

	"That is Tamatoa", Maui explains. The three of them notice Maui's fishhook on Tamatoa's shell as well.

	"You two need to distract him while I go for the hook", Maui suggests.

	"Let's do this the easy way", Laura suggests. She walks right up to Tamatoa.

	"My buddy over there needs that fishhook you have on your shell. You can either give it to use nicely or I'll shish-kabob you and we'll get the hook and a nice big helping of crab legs for dinner", Laura threatens. She extends her claws so Tamatoa knows she means business.

	"You think I'm scared of a little girl", Tamatoa retorts. He bats his pincers at her, but Laura slices both of them off in mere seconds. She then slices off Tamotoa's legs. Now that Tamatoa has no way to stop her, Laura retrieves the hook and hurries back to Moana and Maui. Maui takes the hook and then retrieves Tamatoa's severed legs.

	"We're having crab legs tonight!", he declares. The three of them step on top of a geyser and rocket back up to the top of the mountain. They climb down to the shore, get a fire going, and cook the crab legs. As Laura pigs out on them, the Infinity Gauntlet starts to activate again. Moana notices it and starts to examine it. There's a big flash of light and both Laura and Moana vanish. Maui just stares at where the two girls had been for a few seconds.

	"More food for me!" He declares, and devours the girls' leftovers.

	Laura finds herself on another beach. Despite being dragon along with her, Moana isn't with her anymore. Laura walks up the beach and comes to a road. A chubby man wearing a yellow jacket approaches her, riding some kind of bull.

	"Hey mister, I just landed on the beach and don't know where I am", Laura explains.

	"You're on Melemele Island in the Alola region", the man answers, "I'm Hala, the Kahuna of the island".

	"I'm Laura", Laura responds, "what's a Kahuna?"

	"It means i'm like the boss of this island", Hala explains, "If you are at least 11 years old, you can take the Island challenge. After you complete the Trials on any of Alola's four islands, you face the Grand trial which is a Pokemon battle against that Island's Kahuna".

	"I'm 12 and the Island Challenge sounds like fun", Laura muses. Hala takes Laura to a Pokemon lab further down the beach where she meets Prof. Kukui who shows her a round green owl, an orange-and-black kitten, and a blue seal. Kukui tells Laura to pick one of the three, so she chooses the kitten. Kukui tells her its a Pokemon called Litten. Kukui then introduces her to Illima, the "trial captain" of Melemele Island's only Trial. Laura makes quick work of the trial. Her Litten easily defeats an oversized Gumshoos, which Illima explains is the Totem, or boss, of the Trial. Laura goes on to defeat Hala in the Grand Trial. Hala gives her a Z-ring and explains it goes with the Normalium-Z crystal she obtained after beating the Totem Gumshoos. He also gives her a Fightium-Z crystal for the Z-ring. Laura goes on to clear the three trials on Akala, the second island, and her Litten evolves into Torracat. She defeats Kahuna Olivia too.

	Laura clears the two trials on UlaUla island next and then defeats Kahuna Nanu. A group of thugs who call them selves Team Skull approach her following her Grand Trial with Nanu. Their leader, Guzma, confronts Laura.

	"it's ya boy, Guzma", Guzma taunts, "Now girl, hand over your Pokemon or I'll be forced to hurt you". Laura extends her claws and shoves Guzma against a wall.

	"Care to re-think that, tough guy", Laura shouts. The other Team Skull guys take off running in fear. The Infinity Gauntlet starts activating again, but this time Guzma is the one who vanishes. Laura retracts her claws and then heads for the next island. Poni island is Alola's fourth Island. Laura arrives on Poni Island to find her friend Moana waiting for her.

	"Check it out", Moana shouts, "I've been made the island's Kahuna. You can call me Kahuna Moana now". Laura notices the Z-ring on Moana's arm.

	"Does that mean you know where this island's Trial Site is?", Laura asks. Moana leads Laura deep into Vast Poni Canyon, where Laura makes short work of the Trial there. Beyond that, the two girls reach the Altar of the Sunne. Laura decides to face Kahuna Moana in the Grand Trial battle here. Moana reveals that all of her mons are water-type. Laura struggles a bit, but manages to defeat Moana. Shortly thereafter, a big metal lion appears from out of no where. Moana tells Laura that it is the Pokemon Solgaleo. Laura battles Solgaleo with her Torracat and manages to catch it, but then the Infinity Gauntlet activates and Laura vanishes.

	Laura finds herself in New York City and sees Spiderman swing by overhead.

	"Looks like I finally made it back to my own world", Laura remarks. Spiderman notices her and swings down towards her, landing nearby. He removes his mask to reveal that he is Guzma.

	"It's ya boy Spider-Guzma", he taunts.

	"What are YOU doing in MY world?", Laura asks, "and what did you do with Peter Parker?"

	"Peter Parker? you mean that scrawny guy I slammed into when I arrived in this world. funny story: after I knocked him down, a spider landed on me and bit me. now I got spider powers", Spider-Guzma explains. Spider-Guzma puts his mask back on and swings away. A boy with a weird-looking watch on his arm runs up to Laura.

	"Yo girl, you better get out of the way", the boy yells as he passes her. Then, she notices he's being chased by a big tall dude with tentacles hanging down from his face.

	"No one escapes from Vilgax. Hand over the Omnitrix, Ben Tennyson", the tall guy demands. Laura extends her claws and jumps between Ben and Vilgax.

	"You'll have to go through me to get to him, squid-face", Laura taunts. Ben smacks his watch, witch Laura realizes must be the Omnitrix, and turns into a humanoid tiger with claws eerily similar to her own.

	"Let me tell you something little girl. Rath can defeat Vilgax all by Rath's self", the tiger-man shouts at her.

	"Tra-la-laaa. The Avengers have assembled", another voice yells. Laura turns around to see a fat bald man wearing nothing but a red cape and his tighty-whiteys. Harry Potter is standing behind him, along with Yugi Moto, Barry Allen, Cisco, Maui, and some people Laura has never met before.

	"Since when was Captain Underpants the leader of the Avengers?", Laura wonders. She realizes her travelling between worlds has messed up a lot of stuff. Vilgax holds up one of his arms and his space cruiser appears over head. Laura slashes at Vilgax and slices of some of his face tentacles. Captain Underpants slingshots a pair of underwear at Vilgax, hitting him in the face with them. Rath lunges at Vilgax, but he's suddenly beamed up into his ship. Rath turns back into Ben as Vilgax's ship flies away.

	"Any of you know which way the Xavier institute is?" Laura asks. Ben leads her through the city to the Xavier Institute. Professor Xavier is waiting for her.

	"Hey Logan. Your daughter's home", the Professor yells. Wolverine steps out of the bulding, and Laura rushes up to him and gives him a hug.

	"I've missed you sooo much", Laura reveals. Wolverine notices Ben staring at Laura. Then, he notices the Infinity Gauntlet on Laura's arm.

	"Where did you get the Infinity Gauntlet?", Logan asks her.

	"I took it from Thanos after I slashed his arm off", Laura explains.

	"You were the mysterious girl who defeated Thanos?", Logan wonders, "Well how about that. My daughter defeated Thanos".

	"I kinda messed up a lot of stuff cuz I couldn't control the Gauntlet", Laura admits.

	"I'd recommend giving the Infinity Gauntlet to your "boyfriend" over there. He can lock it away in one of his grandpa's Plumber bases and keep it safe", Logan suggests. Laura removes the Infinity Gauntlet from her arm and walks over to Ben.

	"Do something with this. It's more trouble than its worth", Laura insists. Ben makes a call on his Omnitrix and a beat-up RV pulls up to the Xavier institute a few minutes later. The old man driving it introduces himself as Max Tennyson.

	"Grandpa Max, think you could hide this Infinity Gauntlet away somewhere safe?", Ben asks.

	"No problem", Max responds, "by the way ,that's a cute girlfriend you have there". Max waves to Wolverine, obviously aware of who Ben's "girlfriend" is, and then drives away.

	"Wanna hang out at Mr Smoothy's with me?", Ben asks Laura.

	"Sure", Laura responds. She and Ben race off into the city as Wolverine and Prof. Xavier look on and smile.
