Current Status Update

So as some have noticed, I haven't been in the SMB3 weeklies the past couple of weeks. I've decided to take an actual complete step away from the game for a while. For a long while, I've just been doing the weekly races and that's it, no practice, no attempts, just the 2 races. SMB3 is a game where not playing consistently will hurt your performance greatly, and just doing the 2 races is not enough for me to keep my game at the level I'd like to be at. When I play poorly every time it just makes me mad and I feel like the race casts are suffering more and more because of it. I've tried doing smaller offstream practice sessions to just keep my game fresh and work on new strats, but I just feel like practicing other stuff the whole time. Long story short, SMB3 is on an actual hiatus.

However, this absolutely does not mean I am done with the game though. My times can definitely be improved, and I do feel like after a break I'll be able to get back into the game and learn/practice harder strats to get even better times. Also, I plan on setting up a Warpless tournament within the next couple months or so, but that's still in the planning stage so stayed tuned for that.

I know a lot of people watch for SMB3, but I hope most will still stick around for what's coming up. Castle of Illusion HD is a really fun game that I'm enjoying a lot, and I plan on working on getting an actually decent time in SMB1, then probably working on MM6 or Tooie, whichever I feel like when the time comes. I also have other games on the list, but most/all of those will come probably after the new year.

TL;DR SMB3 on hiatus until I start tourney/ I feel like I've had a good enough break, until then other good speedgames.
