- Pros:
- - No Nido/forest manips lost to IGT0
- - Don't have to memorize IGT0 backups
- - No "did I fuck up or was this IGT"
- Cons:
- - Lose 1.0 to 1.5s to saving/synchronizing
- - Mental energy during reset-heavy part of game
- - Have to update IGT tracker each run
- - Very small chance to miss the window
- Conclusion: Could go either way. It's definitely a percentage play, but the effect is minor, and the mental energy could be significant.
- Good reason to use it: "I just want to get a decent time with good execution; I don't want to grind this category."
- Bad reason to use it: "It's optimal, so it must be worth doing."
- Good reason NOT to use it: "I have the patience to grind Boat Rival deaths for a good time, and I need to avoid wasting energy in the early game."
- Bad reason NOT to use it: "It loses a second in the perfect scenario, so it's not worth doing in a speedrun."
