The Land Below - A Prohpetic Song of Dragonus

In the mountains cold,
By a river old,
In a kingdom lost to time,
There's a gilded tomb
That is wreathed in gloom
In a long-forgotten shrine.
But the ancient seal
Will not break or yield,
'twas forged in fires aglow
To keep out a wrong
That grew fat and strong
And laid waste to the Land Below.

Now, the elders say
There will come a day
When the stars shall all align,
And the beings of stars
From the worlds afar
Will appear among our kind.
And amongst the mad,
They will find a lad
In who's eyes the stars will glow.
Though he grew among us,
They shall know him thus
As the Child of the Land Below.

Through the Thrall of Bone
And the Jaws of Stone
He will cross without a care.
He will shut his eyes
To the wanton lies
Of the ocean prince so fair.
He will touch the stars
And bring back what's ours
That we've lost so long ago.
And though terror and doom
He will reach the tomb
Of the King of the Land Below.

Then the Uruk-Hai
With his evil eye
And the blood running down his jaw
Will stand in the way
And in rage he'll say,
"You shall never breach the door!"
And there will be a fight
O'er day and night,
For 'twill be a mighty foe!
But with courage and blade,
The boy shall put paid
To the Death of our kind Below.

He will reach that door
And will call "Come forth!"
And the seal shall fade and crack.
Then the Holy Light
Of the One so bright
Will return from the Aether black.
Then the Earth, it shakes
As the Dragon wakes
O'er mountains white with snow,
And with a joyous cry
He shall leave the sky
And descend to the Land Below.

But until that time
When the stars align
And the Land is ours again,
We shall stay up high
In the Land of the Sky
That is free from the Uruk's reign.
But they day will come
When we come as one
To the Lands of Ice and Snow,
When we all shall kneel
By the Sleeping Seal
To the Child of the Land Below!
