Stuff

Vesperia is on hold for a little bit. I'm going to keep working on it on the side and I'll probably submit it for RPGLB anyway, but my goal of getting a run finished isn't realistic when I've got the first 3rd of the run learned, and not well enough for a sub 5:30 pace on an easier (and overly simple) difficulty.

I'm really, really bummed about how my P4G run went on Sunday, but I don't really know what to do about it. The only way I can fit a run in before submissions are over is going to be to piecemeal it across multiple days... which I guess I'll have to do. Small decisions in the right direction and that run would have been on very good pace, all of which is just stuff that comes as I play the game more. I also know that I need to get a lot cleaner in menuing, so I'll probably take the huge undertaking of memorizing the notes. Yes, all of them. Not having to scroll notes or think about them should speed everything up by a remarkable degree.

TWEWY is still a free 20 minute PB, even without playing much better, which would also get me well under my RPGLB estimate time. There are still a few problem fights, but the biggest thing is I need separate practice days and run days because my left thumb really does not enjoy the pounding it takes on that. I'm also not sure what the best approach to fix it is... Mashing with the touchscreen feels iffy during cutscenes, and only helps with some of the problem.

Yo-kai watch I feel really good about. The run is pretty straightforward, and with some practice, I don't see that time going anywhere but down. I do need better early game RNG than I've been getting, but it wouldn't pose an issue at a marathon.

I feel a bit let down - this means I'm only going to have hit two at most of my four goals (2.5 if I do the multi day P4G run). on the bright side, when I finish Vesperia learning, I'll hopefully have a better understanding of what I'm doing since I won't have to rush it nearly as much.

Beyond that, I'm excited to be doing the RPGLB show, since I feel that I did a very lackluster job with my AGDQ stuff (partly how the event was handled and us being basically unable to look at games before they were accepted or rejected, partly just me not feeling into the event at all after Catherine's rejection). I've remedied that stuff and really think I've put together a solid set of predictions based on what's already in the list and what's supposedly coming.

The Dallas event sounds like everything is go. Streamer is on board, runners seem on board, venue is on board. I'm super excited, since this is something I've wanted to do for a long time. At this point, all that's needed is a name, a charity and a schedule. I look forward to doing everything I can to blow all of your expectations away.

I do need to be trying to figure out what more I can do for subs, although I want to make sure that when I do it I do it right.

My mom is doing okay, although the last week's been pretty tough. You can tell she doesn't feel well at all, so I've been doing what I can to make her feel better. It's not easy on anybody.
