246 Information

The Super Mario 246 Relay is a multiple game race where 2 teams of 4 will compete to see who can beat the whole 3D Mario series the fastest. The 3D Mario series include Super Mario 64, Sunshine, Galaxy and Galaxy 2, in that order. Every player from each team is assigned each game to play. As soon as a player finishes their segment of the relay which is their game, then they pass the race onto their next teammate to play their segment of the race. All players must have a way to record their gameplay footage and commentary separately from each other and a way to send them to me so I can edit them together.

Rules for all games:
-Time starts from file select for all episodes
-Every episode will be 30 minutes of gameplay. You must stop at where you are as soon as time is up.
-Any route is allowed
-All forms of sequence breaking is allowed
-Players will pass their segment to their next teammate once their game is done.
-Any "game progression" is not to be allowed off-screen

Super Mario 64 rules:
-70 Stars
-Backwards Long Jumping (BLJs) and Mips Clip are not allowed as they're considered major tricks
-Game segment ends after getting the big star from Bowser.

Super Mario Sunshine rules:
-Any% run
-Defeat Shadow Mario in all main worlds (Episode 7 of each world)
-Skipping missions to get to Episode 7s is allowed.
-Game segment ends on the final hit on Bowser.
-You do not have to collect Blue Coins, Delfino Shine Sprites or Shine Sprites from secret courses as they're not required to beat the game at all.

Super Mario Galaxy rules:
-Get 60 stars and then beat Bowser at the Fate of the Universe
-Luigi is allowed
-Getting star bits off screen is allowed
-Feeding the Comet Luma off screen is allowed
-Mods, hacks, & codes are banned
-Game segment ends after getting the final grand star from Fate of the Universe.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 rules:
-Get 70 stars then beat Bowser in Bowser's Galaxy Generator
-Bank Toad is allowed
-Getting star bits off screen is allowed
-Mods, hacks, & codes are banned
-Playing as Luigi is allowed (though why would you?)
