- Chapter 3
- >”D-dance?”
- “Yeah, you and I, outside, now.”
- >She hesitates for a moment, before following your suit.
- “Come.” You call to her again, as you near the exit.
- >The party was held both outdoors and indoors, inside- a quiet gentleman’s talk, while on the outside- a lavish garden party.
- >There was a simple melody playing out in the background, setting the atmosphere.
- >The garden was blanketed in white, fusing with the evergreen.
- >The trees flanked the center, forming borders and into a circle.
- >It was snowing lightly, as the two of you walk to the couples gathered there.
- >A band near the entrance started to play, as you and Fleur moved to the center of the circle.
- >Ponies crossed their neck, and swayed back and forth- thus ‘Dancing’.
- >The two of you glance around awkwardly, Fleur even more.
- >”Maybe we should just-“
- “No, I got this.”
- >You crouch down in front of her.
- >She smiles, before coming close to you.
- >”Anonymous, you-“
- >She leans her neck on yours.
- >You hold her back with a hand.
- >”Anonymous, I thought we were dancing.”
- “No, not like that.”
- >Before she can respond, you place your hands under her front legs, and slowly lift her up.
- >She squeaks once, before trying to balance on your hands.
- >”Anon! What are you doing?” She’s smiling.
- “Dancing?”
- >You pull one of her long legs over your shoulder.
- >What do you know; she’s about your height on her hind legs.
- >Fleur lets out a shy smile, and tries to keep her balance.
- >”Are you sure this is a great idea, Anonymous?”
- “I’m having fun- are you?”
- >”Well-“ Her eyes go wide as she almost trips, and you hold her side.
- >She’s giggling now, awkwardly shuffling with you.
- >You lower your hands to her waistline, eliciting another squeak from her.
- >”Anonymous- you’re just too… Forward.” She blushes.
- “Oh, I’m sorry- this is how humans dance.”
- >”Is that so?” Her mischievous grin is back.
- >She then leans her body entirely to you.
- >Both of her forelegs are over your shoulder now.
- >You slide your left hand over one of her leg, and hold the soft hoof.
- >You then gently tug it to the side, and you’re all set.
- “Now, just follow my lead.” You smile, as the music rolls out.

- >You study her expression, as the two of you move in unison.
- >One, two, three.
- >White lips, pale face-
- >Breathing in snowflakes-
- >Her lips quiver, as she locks eyes with you.
- >You can see the soft snow settling on her pink mane.
- >The edges of her lips slowly curl into a smile, as you take a side-step.
- >She looks around, noticing all of the ponies staring.
- >”Anonymous, they’re all-“
- “Shh. It’s just us now. Come on, one two three- one two three-”
- >She lets out her bright smile again, before going with your movements.
- >At this point, you wouldn’t care about what the ponies might think.
- >You were right; it was just you and her.
- “Okay, just going to twirl a little bit…”
- >”Twirl?”
- “Spin.”
- >You put up your out-stretched arm, and let go of Fleur.
- >Taking a step back, you watch her spin once.
- >She balances herself on your grasp and a hind leg, and spins.
- >You quickly catch her as she comes to the end of the revolution, and return to your steps.
- >She giggles again, before sighing.
- >”That’s fun. Let’s do it again.”
- “Whatever happened to everyone watching?”
- >”Who cares.”
- >She let out a playful smile, before enthusiastically join in the steps.
- >And they say, she’s in the Class A team
- >Stuck in her daydream
- >Been this way since eighteen
- >You see a spark of excitement in her magenta eyes.
- >And for that moment, all of your troubles are gone.
- >It was just the two of you now.
- >You nod and take a step back, raising your arm again.
- >Fleur spins once, and then twice.
- >She’s starting to lose balance, and you sweep in.
- >The moment she falls, you are right behind her, catching her with your arms.
- >You cradle her, as she looks up to you.
- >The excitement is slowly wearing out as her expression slowly melts away.
- >”Well?”
- “Well what?”
- >It’s too cold outside
- >”Kiss me.”
- >You obey, and lean in.
- >For angels to fly
- >And angel will die
- >You slowly draw over her, not really knowing what to do.
- >She grunts in annoyance, and rushes to you.
- >Covered in white
- >Your lips meet hers, and the two of you stay freeze.
- >You close your eyes, and fade away into the feeling.
- >Closed eye
- >You feel the soft pat of the snow on your hair and ears.
- >This time we’ll fade out tonight
- >Straight down the line
- >You can hear the claps from the background, as you pull away.
- >Fleur looks to you silently, before letting out a small smile.
- >You sigh and let her to her hooves.
- >She retreats back to the building, and you tail her.
- >The song is just ending behind you.
- >And they say
- >She's in the Class A Team
- >Stuck in her daydream
- >Been this way since 18
- >But lately
- >her face seems
- >Slowly sinking, wasting
- >Crumbling like pastries
- >They scream
- >The worst things in life come free to us
- >And we're all under the upperhand
- >And go mad for a couple grams
- >And we don't want to go outside tonight
- >And in a pipe we fly to the Motherland
- >Or sell love to another man
- >It's too cold outside
- >For angels to fly
- >Angels to fly
- >To fly, fly
- >Angels to fly,
- >To fly, to fly
- >For angels to die
- >The door behind you closes.
- >”That was… fun.” She takes breather.
- “It was, been a while since I dance with anyone.”
- >”Well,” She answers, “I’m always available.”
- >You smirk, and nod.
- >”Might have to put on a dress, however, that was cold.”
- >She shakes the snow from her mane, and returns to her position in the crowd, her calling.
- >”Oh and Anonymous.” She turns to you.
- >”You are definitely interesting.”
- “I was about to say the same to you.”
- >She smiles, before fading away with the other party-goers.
- >You also return to your seat, joining a disgruntled Blueblood.
- “I’m guessing it didn’t go so well, my prince?”
- >You take your seat, and resume your drinks.
- >”Oh, it went heavenly, Anonymous.”
- >Emphasis on ‘heavenly’.
- >”Sometimes I wonder why I even listen to you.”
- “Why, I’m the most interesting individual around, sire.”
- >”Speaking of which-“
- “Yes?”
- >”That mare.”
- “Fleur?”
- >”Yes, that wench.”
- “Wench? Isn’t that a bit-“
- >”It’s true, all to the very letter. Look, we all saw your little ‘commotion’ outside.”
- “Just dancing, my prince.”
- >Blueblood suddenly grabs your collar and pulls you close.
- >”Listen, Anonymous, I’m warning you, be careful around that mare.”
- “What did she do?”
- >Blueblood assumes his composure again, and lets go.
- >”You mean who she didn’t do. That mare is trouble, Anonymous.”
- “Elaborate.”
- >”I can safely say at least half of the stallions here were ‘escorted’ by her before. That’s what she does, Anonymous, she is, at the very base, a wench.”
- “Is that it?”
- >You’re not buying any of this.
- >”No, that’s not all. All of those stallions were cheated out of their money. Completely legal, by the way. And everyone knows it’s her.”
- “And what proof you have on her?”
- >”Proof? Listen you oaf, she is bad, and I am taking my time warning you.”
- >You stand.
- >You’re not having any of this shit.
- “Then I bid you good night, prince.”
- >You wave and you walk towards the exit, you had enough for one night.
- >A white hoof stops you, and Fancy Pants steps into sight.
- >”My boy, we need to talk, about a certain mare.”
- “I know sir, Fleur De Lis?”
- >”That, and we also have another problem.”
- >You sigh, what now?
- >Another mare steps in your view…
- >Fleur dodged through the crowd, and come into the corner.
- >A stallion comes up to her, holding a cigar.
- >”So doll, got the next target?”
- >She hesitates for a moment, before responding.
- >F: “N-no.”
- >?: “Is that so? What about that human out there?”
- >F: “Look, he’s nothing.”
- >?: “Tell that to him- or to yourself when you kissed him.”
- >F: “Shut it, I’ll get a target soon enough.”
- >?: “Not soon enough, my dear- why not just the human?”
- >F: “He’s… Special. Besides, he’s just an enterta-“
- >?: “Special you say? Come on, Fleur.”
- >F: “I think… He likes me.”
- >?: “Likes you? Come on, he’s just like every stallion out there.”
- >F: “No. He’s different.”
- >?: “Fine. We’ll see about that.”
- >You study the mare, eyeing her strange clothing.
- >”It is I-“
- >She stands on her back legs, and stretches her front legs wide.
- >”THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE!”
