Four Fates Under the Southern Sun, 3.5, Session 33

Start: 6 am, Foreautumn 27, 401 GA

The party rest outside the mine in Sandhole Isle.

Entering, they find the first floor of the 'mine' thoroughly looted. They speak with one of Wym's crew, a hobgoblin named Bothri. He describes how the mine shook, and how he and his fellows were pursued by terrible creatures. Not all of them were able to escape the collapsing tunnels. Specifically, he recounted how Uli is injured, Olly is unaccounted for, and Manfred (the man) fled deeper in.

The party wastes little time descending into the passage. There, they encounter what they later determine is a scouting party sent from a tear in the veil here. It seems here is a weak point in the veil, and a place where despite Yolrud's efforts, a rift one was formed.

During the combat, instead of fighting, Dianna invisibly skulked ahead to investigate the passage further. She would explain her actions later as assuming the party had a handle on the combat, and wanting to confirm a hunch she had. She did not concretely confirm her hunch, but she more or less managed to pacify Manfred, one of the surviving mine workers.

The party defeated the Lilitu and her Cerebrilith minions. Alasdair collected the creature's bracelet, which complimented his natural healing quite well.

They catch up to Dianna, who drops the charade with Manfred with little protest and reveals why she took the actions she did. Dianna clarified she did not know of the imperial court's true intentions with Yolrud. She works with a smuggler's ring tied to Ashig liberation called the Council of Creative Commerce. She took the job originally intending to play both sides and profit off of the imperial court to its detriment.

Pan convinces Manfred to baptize himself in the ocean to appease the dead Lilitu he worships. He seems to think this is prudent, and leaves immediately.
