- Vashil: Have you ever been driving
- Vashil: Like, really long distance
- Vashil: And realized that you zone out?
- Subject: Aye, many times
- Vashil: Like, you feel like you are driving on autopiolot
- Vashil: Really focused, but at the same time not really aware you are doing it
- Subject: Texas is full of long roads
- Vashil: Lol
- Vashil: Okay
- Vashil: Well that;s an example of how trance is, on a very light level
- Subject: Alright
- Subject: Ok, I have a question about that
- Subject: so
- Subject: like
- Subject: I read from here, that the whole "not remembering a thing" was fiction
- Vashil: Yeah
- Vashil: So that's kinda hard
- Subject: however, using your example, I often don't remember the section I traveled when I zone out
- Vashil: Yeah
- Vashil: So you won't "forget"
- Vashil: You won't have amnesia
- Vashil: Or whatevere
- Vashil: You just might not pay full attention
- Subject: oh, so I won't have that memory in the first place, because I wasn't really attempting to remember the road in the first place?

- Vashil: And sometimes that happens in trance
- Vashil: Sometimes you will pay a lot of attention
- Vashil: So what hypnosis does
- Vashil: Is try to induce this
- Vashil: Usually through relaxation
- Vashil: or imagery
- Vashil: Or surprise
- Subject: alright
- Vashil: And then you try to get into a really deep version
- Vashil: So
- Vashil: When I do self-trance
- Vashil: I run through some steps
- Vashil: To try and relax me
- Subject: alright
- Vashil: First I concentrate on my breath
- Vashil: Take really deep ones
- Vashil: And sort of try to get settled and relax myself
- Vashil: And I imagine a sort of heaviness throughout my body
- Vashil: One way to do this
- Vashil: Is cleanch my myscles
- Vashil: And let them go totally limp
- Vashil: Starting with feet
- Vashil: and moving up through the body
- Vashil: And hopefully I find that when i try to move them, though I know I can. They will feel really relaxed and limp
- Vashil: So that it's almost too much effort to move them
- Vashil: And usually that brings me to a light trance
- Vashil: And the biggest suggestion I can give
- Vashil: Is not worry too much the first few times if you don't feel anything
- Vashil: Takes a while to get in practice trancing
- Vashil: Especially self-hypno
- Vashil: I hope that helps : /
