  11. Vashil: Have you ever been driving
  12. Vashil: Like, really long distance
  13. Vashil: And realized that you zone out?
  14. Subject: Aye, many times
  15. Vashil: Like, you feel like you are driving on autopiolot
  16. Vashil: Really focused, but at the same time not really aware you are doing it
  17. Subject: Texas is full of long roads
  18. Vashil: Lol
  19. Vashil: Okay
  20. Vashil: Well that;s an example of how trance is, on a very light level
  21. Subject: Alright
  22. Subject: Ok, I have a question about that
  23. Subject: so

  25. Subject: I read from here, that the whole "not remembering a thing" was fiction
  26. Vashil: Yeah
  27. Vashil: So that's kinda hard
  28. Subject: however, using your example, I often don't remember the section I traveled when I zone out
  29. Vashil: Yeah
  30. Vashil: So you won't "forget"
  31. Vashil: You won't have amnesia
  32. Vashil: Or whatevere
  33. Vashil: You just might not pay full attention
  34. Subject: oh, so I won't have that memory in the first place, because I wasn't really attempting to remember the road in the first place?

  36. Vashil: Yeah

  39. Subject: that makes sense
  40. Vashil: And sometimes that happens in trance
  41. Vashil: Sometimes you will pay a lot of attention
  42. Vashil: So what hypnosis does
  43. Vashil: Is try to induce this
  44. Vashil: Usually through relaxation
  45. Vashil: or imagery
  46. Vashil: Or surprise
  47. Subject: alright
  48. Vashil: And then you try to get into a really deep version
  49. Vashil: So
  50. Vashil: When I do self-trance
  51. Vashil: I run through some steps
  52. Vashil: To try and relax me
  53. Subject: alright
  54. Vashil: First I concentrate on my breath
  55. Vashil: Take really deep ones
  56. Vashil: And sort of try to get settled and relax myself
  57. Vashil: And I imagine a sort of heaviness throughout my body
  58. Vashil: One way to do this
  59. Vashil: Is cleanch my myscles
  60. Vashil: And let them go totally limp
  61. Vashil: Starting with feet
  62. Vashil: and moving up through the body
  63. Vashil: And hopefully I find that when i try to move them, though I know I can. They will feel really relaxed and limp
  64. Vashil: So that it's almost too much effort to move them
  65. Vashil: And usually that brings me to a light trance
  66. Vashil: And the biggest suggestion I can give
  67. Vashil: Is not worry too much the first few times if you don't feel anything
  68. Vashil: Takes a while to get in practice trancing
  69. Vashil: Especially self-hypno
