There were games of brown and bloom
A lot in the age after the third Doom
Round about 07,
They came out with a boom
I don't know where it started
Maybe call of duty 4
Really it was all to do
With George Bush's iraq war
And so we saw
Lots of games with sepia tones
Shooting muslims in the sand
Getting called on radio phones
And 50 cals getting manned

It went on like that for a few more years,
Shooting guys in dusty streets
When games came out with colours
Felt like a special treat
Cause by then we were tired and we'd got used to all the brown and bloom
So a game like the first Dark Souls
Was refreshing in its miserable gloom
And constant doom
I don't miss those days of brown
I don't want them to come back
But sometimes new games make me frown
Cause everything's neon and black
