  1. The Human Struggles of Realizing A Passion
  2.
  3. Waking up in the middle of seemingly no where. Reno scouted the area, seeing that his newfound teacher, Ashe was nowhere to be seen. So he figured that it would be best for him to head back into town square.
  4.
  5. "That meditation session was fun. Though, knowing the typical magi, I'm still far from anything worth while."
  6.
  7. He got up with a thought in mind. That he would try this meditation thing once more. Even though he fell asleep the first time. Maybe this time he would take it more seriously and look into himself. So he closed his eyes and gazed into the night sky. He was someone who was against magic, so maybe that was the source of his difficulty.
  8.
  9. Perhaps he needed to embrace it a bit more. But, Reno in his arrogance still saw magic as something only those snobby runners would use. But never the lesser, he tried to look into himself, to find his own volition that will take him to such heights in order to compete with magic.
  10.
  11. Reno did not do some hour or eight day long regime. He was human after all, a magi one but still human. So he focused on the basics and kept to himself for now. He would do what he needed to learn and save his time for something worth while. Perhaps this was the tough road of adventure that he prayed for.
  12. (Reno)
  13.
  14.
  15. [07:31] Now looking around throughout the town. He could find no one, no his teacher or the Yuna girl he met a day or so ago. He was lonely, but that would not stop him from training. Right now, he was in a bit of a bind. Unsure if he should follow his teacher completely, or follow the choice of will power and pursue the arts of energy.
  16.
  17. Right now, all he could do was a few warm up drills and meditate like his teacher told him to. "Will the arts of fire make me into a skilled fighter? Should I go for something that might turn me into a distance fighter? So many questions."
  18.
  19. He then got onto the ground, doing a set of five push ups. His body was getting conditioned for rough training slowly over time. Now he might actually turn out to be a bulky man who could punch through solid objects one day. But little Reno was concerned for his skill and well being as well. So he fought through the pain of the freezing cold, one push up at a time.
  20. (Reno)
  21.
  22.
  23. [07:40] Finally, the time had come to meditate and so Reno sat down on the ground, legs crossed just as his master had done the other day. He closed his eyes and took something of focus. He wouldn't just picture an empty image just yet, he needed some imagination, something to build upon, a foundation.
  24.
  25. That foundation, were the flames surrounding him. It was a cold village after all, and the flames kept the hearts of many warm through many cold nights. Of course, he would have two forms of magic in mind and with very little idea as to how they will aid him in the future.
  26.
  27. "Energy and Flames."
  28.
  29. He took a breath. "One burns, the other is a manifestation of willpower." He began to read through the books of both magics briefly. "Fire is sorta like life but destructive... I could go both routes but, that would take even longer wouldn't it?" Reno was at odds with this... So to clear his mind and let his spirit guide him to where he needed to be.
  30.
  31. Reno tossed both books aside. They were distractions after all. He began to meditate, to focus and see the type of person he was meant to be. He began to question himself. Why should be fight and why does it have to be in a method that strays from the traditional magi. "Am I any better?"
  32. (Reno)
  33.
  34.
  35. [07:45] With a sigh. Reno concludes his ten minute meditation session. It was pretty tiring to actually sit down and do nothing. So, he thought that if anything, he could find himself by placing himself in harms way once again. So he turned his gaze to that of the large mountains.
  36.
  37. "Those damn dragon like things and frospups… They mock me because I'm weak... Any typical magi can make smooth work of them and I struggle like the weakling I am..."
  38.
  39. He wanted to represent all humans through his strength to avoid long range magic and stick to only his fist and wits. "Willpower huh? I like the sound of that." So Reno got up, heading towards the mountains, where he would train by testing his might against the same beast that almost took him out.
  40.
  41. "I have to be brave."
  42.
  43. "I have to keep pushing myself."
  44. (Reno)
  45.
  46.
  47. [07:47] Spotting the beast, a Froseal far ahead. Reno prepared himself for the fight to come. Rubbing his fist and assuming the stance of the Iron Fist.
  48.
  49. "Hey! Ugly!" He shouts, rushing forward to land his first punch, hoping all goes well!
  50. (Reno)
  51.
  52.
  53. [07:53] Tired and hardly the victor. Reno stood there with a smile on his face as the excitement has gotten to him, he waved his fist in the air. "That's right! I did it! I can win even if I'm not running away!" He looks to the other Froseal, rushing forward with his fist in the ready position.
  54.
  55. His Iron Fist stance now more solid than ever, and his footwork slowly evolving through these tough battles. That's right, in order to compete with those capable of slaying countless beast, he had to befriend and battle the same beast that guards their town.
  56.
  57. "HA!!!" The teen was high in spirits. He carried on with such volition, such fury behind his roar that he found himself enjoying battle more and more. The pain, delivering and receiving it. He was growing slowly through this process of mountain man training.
  58. (Reno)
  59.
  60.
  61. [07:58] Blown away by the surprise attack of the Froseal's water cannon. Reno was shot towards a large pillar like building. His body damaged from the impact, but his will to fight still there. "How can this be?" He asked himself, struggling to stand only to find himself falling to the ground.
  62.
  63. His vision of the world fades as he is rendered unconscious and defeated. But in his dream, he continued on with the fight, constantly losing. Being laughed at by the other magi for his lack of power.
  64.
  65. "What are you all staring at?"
  66.
  67. "Leave me alone."
  68.
  69. "Stop laughing at me." He cried within this dream of his. Reno was sure that he could have won, but his arrogance got the better of him, and now he laid there defeated...
  70.
  71. Over time, he struggled to pick himself up, damaged from the beating, all bruised up from the water cannon. All he could do was stare down that Froseal, and his rage grew. And thus, the showing of his human essence.
  72.
  73. "I'll beat you down!" He charged in once more enraged!
  74. (Reno)
  75.
  76.
  77. [08:01] Standing above the defeated Froseal. Reno smiled but still somewhat enraged from his defeat.
  78.
  79. "Hell yeah... I won."
  80. (Reno)
  81.
  82.
  83. [08:13] * You have been awarded 6 Roleplay Points! *
  84. [08:27] Resting himself up. Reno stood in the middle of the town where all the other people continued doing whatever daily routine they had planned. For now, Reno was focused on his training through meditation, he came down with the ideal, that he will continue to learn from Ashe, and to utilize her teachings of fire into his own unarmed abilities.
  85.
  86. He was unsure as to how it all functioned, if magic and melee were truly separate or if they were one of the same. Either way, he wanted to utilize these talents for something great and thus the start of his meditation. "I'll do it. Even when you are not around to guide me."
  87.
  88. Reno focused on his spiritual energy. He felt it early on during his fight with the Froseal. If he was able to make ripples of mana, who knew what else he could do in the long run. He could possibly even form waves of it or simply enhance his fist to the highest degree.
  89.
  90. So Reno continued with this training method. "I'll just meditate, and try and find an answer. Maybe through this, I will find out if I am worth the blood of a magi."
  91. (Reno)
  92.
  93.
  94. [08:35] Reno was conflicted still, but now, at the very least, he had direction and so he would use this. His eyes were focused on that of the typical human, people who were seen as powerless and useless. Fodder for wars, just bodies to add onto the already powerful numbers. What Reno wanted, was to show the world, what being human truly was.
  95.
  96. Maybe that's a goal too peaceful for this world, but it was what motivated Reno to get better at unarmed combat. His fist did not need a weapon, they were the weapon. His kicks just as strong and his willpower would be the spirit that will guide him.
  97.
  98.
  99. "For now, I need to master the arts that comes with the body. Myself, not the magic tools I'll use but myself... " He saw himself as a weapon in the making, but still so much polishing and folding of steel had to be done. After all, he was only human, but someone capable of soon perfecting their own strengths from what used to be a weakness.
  100. (Reno)
  101.
  102.
  103. [08:43] Standing up, Reno would first perform another set of push ups, this time going up to 10 per reputation. Still, he was no bulky teen but he was working on it. He concentrates on that portion of strength, it is what has gotten him this far.
  104.
  105. From there, he would perform a few sit ups, the same number as the push ups he's done. So in total, that would be twenty for each workout. Now, Reno knew this was just some good morning exercise to get the blood pumping after all. But he was more concerned with how he will improve in the future.
  106.
  107. Maybe he was not meant to be strong, but if anything, he will continue to learn. After all, he was not as active as the high tiered Joe. He was only able to put in the time when it came across him, but other than that, he would only be capable of catching up on some modern day wisdom. For now though, Reno continued to train.
  108.
  109.
  110. (Reno)
  111.
  112.
  113. [08:47] Looking over at the training dummie. Reno approached it with high hopes to develop his hand to hand combat skills. He would assume the stance of the iron fist, holding his fist up like a boxer. Though he found kicking to be too much of a drain for him, it was necessary, no matter how much he tried to get rid of or avoid it.
  114.
  115. "Alright dummy let's do this."
  116.
  117. The young teen would throw a jab at the training dummy. This would be a repeated process. Over and over again, Reno throws a jab followed by a weighted punch. He saw this as the typical two left jab and one strong right punch.
  118. (Reno)
  119.
  120.
  121. [08:50] Now Reno would work on his speed strikes, attempting to dash from left to right around the target. He did this so that his speed wouldn't be an issue, he wanted to be swift yet also powerful but had little idea as to how he would find that balance.
  122. (Reno)
  123.
  124.
  125. [08:54]
  126. {LOAD GAME}
  127.
  128. [08:55] Reno left the town square for a moment. Scouting the land in search for his teacher Ashe. "Still no where to be found. That's fine, I guess."
  129.
  130. The young teen went to jog back to town. Trying to build up his stamina, he did so in a fashion of burst, walk, jog and repeat.
  131. (Reno)
  132.
  133.
  134. [09:02] Reno looks over towards the Frospup. He was ready again for round two, but this time, he was prepared with something. He came ready to fight not just with might but with the skill he was quite new to, a mana ripple sort of ability.
  135.
  136. Now he did not want to shy away from his fist, not one bit, but, when it came to dealing damage, there was a tool he'd need for survival.
  137.
  138. "Hey! I'm back for round three!" He rushed towards the frospup.
  139. (Reno)
  140.
  141.
  142. [09:06] Was amazed at the boredom of this town at 8.
  143. (Reno)
  144.
  145.
  146. [09:06] Doing some push ups. Reno would continue to read the book about unarmed combat. He had to make sure that he learned all of what he could in this time frame. Mainly due to all the distractions.
  147. (Reno)
  148.
  149.
  150. [09:10] Sighing from this long day. Seems like the morning was already a type of ordeal for Reno to deal with.
  151. (Reno)
  152.
  153.
  154. [09:11] "I don't get why so many people have to go and give so much attitude in the morning."
  155. (Reno)
  156.
  157.
  158. [09:12] * You have been awarded 6 Roleplay Points! *
  159. [09:24] Now with his eyes set on the goal. Reno, being the bright lad he was, full of energy. He continued to do small sessions of training, simple things like jogging in place, trying to make his body stronger through each form of conditioning. His breathing method was to channel his energy like a raging flame. It would be so that he could face off well against those higher beings. People capable of turning into winged beast.
  160.
  161. Just as he saw the other day, the fight between Sicks and Seneca fight each other. It really made him wonder how much of equal ground do humans have against the likes of demons. Not that he hated demons, he hardly knew much about them, but he wanted to be as strong as they were. As durable, as powerful and feared even, but he was nothing like them.
  162.
  163. He was simply, human. Someone who was trying to find their way into this world through their magi and the journey it took them on. For Reno, this magic would reveal itself as time went on, but for now. All he could do was train in order to tap into his own potential.
  164. (Reno)
  165.
  166.
  167. [09:34] Reading into the book of fire. Reno came to realize something.
  168.
  169. "So, if learning fire, naturally makes one a tad bit stronger... What about energy? I wonder if it would do the same, but, would I be holding myself back? By sticking to my fist?"
  170.
  171. Reno had to consider many things, so, in order to learn. He would venture off towards the library.
  172. (Reno)
  173.
  174.
  175. [09:47] Taking his time to read through certain information towards the topic of Energy. Reno sat down on the bench, or rather he lied down so that he could relax for a while as he reads.
  176.
  177. "Blue shroud... Flame shroud... I guess the shroud is what surrounds their bodies? Like the demon guy and the man who fought him the other day. Those guys were unbelievable. But, I doubt I'll ever get that far."
  178.
  179. He laughed at himself, "Mid-level warrior at best. Oh well, I never wanted power anyway. Just the thrill of adventure and the benefit of learning all that I can."
  180.
  181. Maybe it was his way of dealing with weakness.
  182. (Reno)
  183.
  184.
  185. [09:49] Reno says, "Hm."
  186. [09:49] Reno says, "I wonder where everyone is."
  187. [09:58] Calm now. Reno continued to read about the sources of magic through the public guides and library. He saw much of what fire could be used for as well as energy.
  188. (Reno)
  189.
  190.
  191. [10:09] After reading the many properties of magic. Reno began to wonder, if energy was the route he should take. It felt as if energy strayed further away from ground, being something more reliant on distant fighting than it did close range combat.
  192.
  193. He could still utilize it, but Reno felt that this might not be the best route for him and so, he was somewhat conflicted. He did not want to try too hard towards something he saw as unworthy...
  194.
  195. "Maybe I should just stick to my fist. They will never lead me astray."
  196. (Reno)
  197.
  198.
  199. [10:14] Reno began to train once again, this time, focusing only on the properties of his iron fist. Shadow boxing with himself, punching the air and moving his body in a motion as if he were actually fighting someone.
  200.
  201. He knew that when fighting magic, he would have to dodge various attacks and so. He trained himself to do such, blitzing forward, trying to achieve a higher level of speed.
  202. (Reno)
  203.
  204.
  205. [10:22] Training, and reading up on the history. He took some time to read on the properties of fire or rather, remember what he could as he threw punch after punch.
  206. (Reno)
  207.
  208.
  209. [10:26] Looking back at it now. Reno thought of something other than both fire and energy.
  210.
  211. "Maybe I can read up on this Time magic. It doesn't seem to stray away from my fist at all... Maybe this would help me more than anything," the young lad said to himself while making way towards the grand library where the Tom Broker was located.
  212. (Reno)
  213.
  214.
  215. [10:31] Reno says, "Hm..."
  216. [10:34] Reading up on the time magic. It seemed a bit less true than what he imagined it to be. It seems that the magic of time was well rooted down to basic aspects of slowing things down and also speeding up. But, how could Reno use this?
  217.
  218. He realized something that he did not see before. "Wait, instead of constantly trying to find a balance of speed and power. It looks like I might have both right here? But how true is that theory?... Maybe it is like wind, but more helpful with less magic involved... Last thing I want is to be shooting lasers and relying too much on keeping distance.... Worst thing that could happen is that I knock my foe away from me... Yeah, that seems about right."
  219.
  220. Reno continued to read into this Time magic. It was unique, but it seemed like it would take a longer time to learn than most other arts.
  221. (Reno)
  222.
  223.
  224. [10:35] Looking around, he still found no one.
  225. (Reno)
  226.
  227.
  228. [10:39] {Item} You drop Water Crystal x1.
  229. [10:46] Reno says, "Hm..."
  230. [10:46] Reno asks, "Why is this town so empty?"
  231. [10:51] Now bored out of his mind. He could not sit down and read any longer. He was looking for some action, something he could do that would help him pass the time. He was just a teen trying to fit in but there was nothing to fit into!
  232.
  233. He really considered the idea of just leaving town in search of something new. But he had no idea where it would take him and so he tried finding maps. Something that would help him in this journey, but first. He wanted to tell his master if he came across her soon today.
  234.
  235. Though right now, it felt like soon was far from it all.
  236. (Reno)
  237.
  238. Abaddon Mal'phas asks, "How is training going?"
  239. [10:54] Reno says, "Well it's going. But I feel kind of lost. "
  240. [10:57] Abaddon Mal'phas asks, "How so?"
  241. [10:58] Showing off his little notebook, a checklist of magics he read up on being time, energy and the basic elements. Reno points at each of them, hoping to find some advice from the redhaired person.
  242.
  243. "I've read this one, and a few others but. How do you know, what's right for you? Did it just come naturally?" Reno was an unarmed fighter yes, but he was unsure if he should touch any magic that had anything to do with long range fighting.
  244.
  245. "Maybe I'm being too bias. But everything that was explained to be close combat magic, seems like distant fighting."
  246. (Reno)
  247.
  248.
  249. [11:02] A notebook containing knowledge of magic? Smart. However, there had likely been a few bits missing out, since the tomes didn't contain all that existed. Abaddon eyed his journal, sighing.
  250.
  251. Responding to Reno's question, he said:
  252.
  253. "What's right for me? Well, my entire family was aligned to the Metaphysical nature of magic. Which meant that I was to study under such."
  254.
  255. He moved to scratch the back of his head, before lecturing the youth once more.
  256.
  257. "Close combat based-magic isn't as distant as you'd expect. In fact, it's very aggressive. If you're playing defense with that type of power, it ain't being used right."
  258. (Abaddon Mal'phas)
  259.
  260.
  261. [11:08] With his feet being swung back and forth as he sat on the bench, listening to the tale of the family that is Mal'phas. He couldn't help but wonder, how many families were there. He met Ashe who decided to teach him the basics of magic, and she belonged to a family of flame masters.
  262.
  263. Now he's come across the complete opposite. One that gives life instead of destroy it with destructive flames. Nature.
  264.
  265. "So, some arts, depend on how the user wishes to fight? Not all magi flee from conflict to win?" He was curious. After all, he's a teen who aspired to be a man capable of standing up to most magi with his fist, despite being one himself.
  266.
  267. "Do you think, that someone who masters only unarmed combat can succeed without the aid of a secondary magic?"
  268. (Reno)
  269.
  270.
  271. [11:09] Abaddon Mal'phas asks, "Someone who purely uses unarmed magic?"
  272. [11:09] Abaddon Mal'phas says, "Nope. You'll lose to everyone else who has a secondary magic."
  273. [11:11] Reno asks, "It sucks but its our reality huh?"
  274. [11:11] Abaddon Mal'phas asks, "Why wouldn't you combine it, anyway?"
  275. [11:12] Abaddon Mal'phas says, "They can actually positively give feedback with each other."
  276. [11:12] Reno says, "I would, but sometimes, I can't help but wonder if I didn't."
  277. [11:12] * You have been awarded 6 Roleplay Points! *
  278. [11:12] Abaddon Mal'phas says, "Unless you were so powerful that you only needed that art, and soley focused your training into it.."
  279. [11:12] Abaddon Mal'phas says, "Then perhaps, but that's unheard of."
  280. [11:17] Reno asks, "Hm. Between the art of fire and the art of time... Maybe I should just keep training till the moment reveals itself, yea?"
  281. [11:20] Looking at the three tomes of his. Reno had to make a choice within the distant future. But he was thankful to this crimson haired veteran.
  282.
  283. "I never introduced myself. I'm Reno, just Reno for now. And I want to challenge you to a sparring match one day."
  284.
  285. He smiled. "I don't want to learn about your family through words alone but through your actions too mister."
  286. (Reno)
  287.
  288. Reading the tome day in and day out. Reno came down to the conclusion, "It's only been a day, but maybe I should try and use these spells in real battle... Against the Frospups…" He had been training himself for some time now, and he could use the basic aura of these talents. So now, he figured would be a good time to try and see how fluent his combative skills now were.
  289. (Reno)
  290.
  291.
  292. [12:30] Looking around, Reno see's the area around him in a totally new light. "Whoa, what is this I'm seeing?" He had unknowingly unlocked the aura of time, now foreseeing possibly futures.
  293.
  294. It would be as simple from the Frospup attacking him, to what could happen if he made one wrong move. "This is, amazing." As the Frospup strikes him in the torso. The present day Reno learned that a dash forward was not the best option in this little battle of his.
  295.
  296. (Reno)
  297.
  298.
  299. [12:32] Jumping back, Reno was slowly learning more from this power. He would throw a fist forward, and from his fist came a collection of orbs that would initiate moderate damage and slow down his target...
  300.
  301. "What did I just do?" Reno asked himself, feeling a tad bit lighter on his feet. Still he had the basics of his fighting style, but now, they felt enhanced by a little if not, a lot.
  302.
  303. "Yeah, I can feel it, this is it. This is Time Magic!" It took him a long while to finally grasp it but now, the young teen could proudly call himself a magi, even though he did not like the idea of being labeled that.
  304. (Reno)
  305.
  306.
  307. [12:34] Dashing forward, Reno punched the Frospup several times with a quick jab, and again with a fading strike, catching the Frospup off guard. Though he did not over power this beast completely. He still had to look out for major things such as the water whip, and the giant water canon.
  308.
  309. He jumps from one spot to another, concentrating on what he could do next. He had a grasp of the Iron Body. But now, Reno had only wished he did not rush obtaining such an ability, and hoped that he could take a step back and learn something else. Maybe he would not get rid of the ability all together, it might be somewhat beneficial for him to keep in the long run.
  310. (Reno)
  311.
  312.
  313. [12:45] Reno pants. Trying to keep up with his training and these Frospups were quite difficult. He looks around, and saw that there was a large sea behind the village. Well, at least he had a good view of things right?
  314.
  315. He was alone and bored out of his mind. So he continued training, jogging in the snow to work on his footwork when the day comes that he has to fight. Couldn't be seen sippin on the battle field after all.
  316. (Reno)
  317.
  318.
  319. [12:46] Reno exclaims, "Phew!"
  320. [12:46] Reno exclaims, "Round three I guess!"
  321. [12:48] After his jog. Reno went to the town square yet once again. This time he would look around, making sure no one was there to watch him. He got onto the ground and started with his routine of push ups. Twenty for every time he was beaten by a frospup… Which was twice it seems...
  322.
  323. So he challenged himself to do 40 push ups, sit ups and squats. "One...Two... Three.." The young teen was pushing himself to reach a new goal. Though there were some abilities he wished he did not waste his time on. He had to learn from his mistakes.
  324.
  325. "Ten...Eleven." and did he learn.
  326. (Reno)
  327.
  328.
  329. [12:52] Conducting his typical set of push ups. Young Reno had one thing on mind, "Will I regret this? That I did not go the path of energy? Maybe... Who knows, there might be a chance that I can combine the paths right?"
  330.
  331. He was a teen with his eyes on everything. So for now, he would try to learn this discipline by keeping his eyes away from all of the flashy abilities. And focus on what was needed... Attacks for his speed, spells that would amplify his strength to a greater extent.
  332.
  333. "If I keep getting distracted by what's 'cool' or amazing. I'll never get as strong as the demon knights... Not with these hands."
  334. (Reno)
  335.
  336.
  337. [12:58] "One...Two...Three...Four...Five..." Reno continued with his little workout, adding more and more by the week if this continues. Right now, he was still doing things by the 40s, and he was struggling with the squats. Going up and down, it was painful for his legs but this was the purpose of leg day it seemed.
  338.
  339. (Reno)
  340.
  341.
  342. [13:01] Reno continued but despite his fatigue. He carried on, he wanted to be the best at this art, he wanted to be someone capable of standing up to all those powerful magi. Even though his fist were enhanced with magic, he wanted to make many feel like he did... Helpless, and wondering why their best was not enough.
  343. (Reno)
  344.
  345.
  346. [13:11] * You have been awarded 4 Roleplay Points! *
  347. [13:24] Partially annoyed by the people bothering him. Reno decides to return to his bench. Right now, it was one of the only things he could really do. Being extra and going out and into harms way right now wouldn't help him much at all. Though this was a good way to relieve stress but not a good way to live life.
  348.
  349. So, in order to support his unarmed combat abilities. He studied more and more into the arts of Time magic. Right now, that was his focus, until he was able to master his offensive abilities through hand on hand action. He did not want anything flashy and time magic was a good example of that. It was not flashy, hardly even anything to see.
  350.
  351. For him, time magic was a concept created by man in order to perceive a different flow of life energy. He valued the idea of one day learning energy magic, but he valued the ability to defeat foes with his fist a lot more.
  352. (Reno)
  353.
  354.
  355. [13:26] "Even if its just for a little bit. Time magic could be the only type of magic most suitable for me... There are hardly any lasers involved, and I can easily close into a target by slowing down the time around me... Right? That's how it works, I'm sure of it."
  356.
  357. Reno continued to read and meditate so that he could build up his mana reserves. He did not want to be some push over, nor did he want to rely on anything else dealing damage to his opponent other than his fist. The art of these hands.
  358. (Reno)
  359.
  360.
  361. [13:32] Moving around in a swift motion. Reno would toss another jab into the air, followed by a dash to push himself forward. He was not the fastest, not by a long short, but he was sure that his burst speed would surprise anyone. So he continued to train, taking those three steps back like a raging bull, and launching himself forward like a speeding train.
  362.
  363. He had no need to try and break the stone before him. He was not trying to, but rather he was working on control. Pulling his punches while also knowing when he should deliver the heavy blow to the face of his enemy.
  364.
  365. (Reno)
  366.
  367.
  368. [13:36] Trying to catch a breath. Reno sat down.
  369. (Reno)
  370.
  371.
  372. [13:40] For the time being, he would meditate once more on the talents of Time Magic. He only did this because he was too much of a hard head to listen to what his teacher had told him. That the other elements could benefit him in other ways.
  373.
  374. But what he did do, was train with that same dedication she left him with.
  375. (Reno)
  376.
  377.
  378. [13:40] Because he was so determined to learn about history and show the world what humans were made of. He kept his training simple, he did not seek out some wise old sage or some thousand year old demon to train him. No Reno was keeping this to the human level, and even though he was learning magic, he did not stray away.
  379. (Reno)
  380.
  381.
  382. [13:46] Now conducting his twenty push ups. Young Reno found this boring time to also be the only time of day where he could worry more about himself and not so much of other people. Because he was so young at the time and inexperienced when it came to battle. The young lad was trying to harden his body, to become someone capable of defending himself and surviving on his own.
  383. (Reno)
  384.
  385.
  386. [13:51] "One.. Two... One... Two, and Six!" Reno pushed up and down until he reached number twenty. He did not want to be behind in any way, even if his skills were lacking in some departments.
  387.
  388. "The power of a magi is that of creation right? If we're truly some small percent... Then, shouldn't I be stronger than some damn Frospup?!" He was mad at himself for losing that fight more than once. He actually got his ass handed to him due to Frospups and Frosseals. They just out matched him, ten to one many times before he learned how to make his fist as hard as Iron.
  389. (Reno)
  390.
  391.
  392. [13:57] Looking up towards the mountain. Young Reno thought of one thing, how he will one day make easy work of those pesky Snow-Pups and seals. He was always bested by them in the past, but lately, he's been growing stronger ever so slightly. His progress was something to be praised in his own eyes. Now that he has cleared his mind of what is and what is not needed. The young boy thought it was time to pay the pups a visit.
  393. (Reno)
  394.
  395.
  396. [14:00] As he ran up the mountain. Reno faced the hard and harsh chill of nature rushing down upon him. The cold that was from the mountain. A clear sign that humans were not welcomed.
  397. (Reno)
  398.
  399.
  400. [14:04] He stared at the frosseal from afar. Eye to eye he looked at his one enemy, the only thing that kept him from leaving his home town. He knew that if he could not size up to this wild beast like the demons could, then he would be better off staying at home behind protected walls.
  401.
  402. "I will not be chained here by the likes of you!" He shouts as he rushes forward. Reno wanted to see the world, but what could he accomplish by being weak and unable to hold on through his own will and might?
  403.
  404. "I'm coming in hot! Round three!"
  405. (Reno)
  406.
  407.
  408. [14:06] After his fight. The young teen was hardly damaged, but it was one hell of a rush. He pants, having to be nimble enough to dodge the attacks of the Ice-Seal. He smiled at himself, thankful towards this growth, towards his own strength.
  409.
  410. "We're almost there." He said while measuring his power to that of a Froseal.
  411.
  412. The young lad carried onto the next one, he wanted to see just how talented he truly was. If he could actually survive or if this whole power thing was just a fluke.
  413. (Reno)
  414.
  415.
  416. [14:09] The young lad rushed forward, delivering a flurry of strikes to the Froseal. He was not going down without a fight! Reno went into this with a calm and focused mind, the mind of something willing to win at any cost. Maybe this was just a fluke, or perhaps it was true development in the making.
  417.
  418. He tossed a number of jabs at the beast. But the Froseal was no little prick. It was able to put up a good fight and Reno was sure that if it had larger numbers. Just one or three more, that they would easily devour the poor lad upon defeat. But today wouldn't be that day. Reno continued to harden his fist, throwing punch after punch.
  419. (Reno)
  420.
  421.
  422. [14:09] Standing victorious... Reno smiled towards the sky.
  423.
  424. "We're half way there."
  425. (Reno)
  426.
  427.
  428. [14:11] * You have been awarded 4 Roleplay Points! *
  429. [14:21] Now, Reno kept to himself. He did not see much point in over training himself. He knew this would only lead to damage or worse, no progress at all. "I need to take a minute or two... This is something else isn't it?"
  430.
  431. Reno sat down on a bench. His eyes were focused on the clouds above. "What is there to learn about this world? What history does this land have?" He wanted to know so badly, the young teen wanted to be apart of something greater than himself, and maybe help push humanity forward.
  432.
  433. "What can I become?"
  434.
  435.
  436. (Reno)
  437.
  438.
  439. [14:24] Now looking down the cliff, he began to wonder just what else this world could show him. "This is a town resting on one of the highest mountains... And I'm just some guy, some kid trying to gain strength."
  440. (Reno)
  441.
  442.
  443. [14:29] He signed, thinking of something to keep his mind busy so that he wouldn't get so bored. "I really wonder, what could be out there. What lives in the sea, what other types of beings live out there amongst us... Some are demons, some are like cats... Sure I've known this, even though I spent all my life fleeing from magi."
  444.
  445.
  446. "But now, I want to see everything at face level, not as a lesser being, but as an equal. Hopefully, that's how things will turn out." He continued to gaze out to the many buildings within his town. Though he was no king, the young lad admired those who could lead a village as large as this.
  447.
  448. Now he wondered. Where Yuna was, the friend he made that offered him a torch light. Maybe she had ventured off to other places, or maybe even made more friends during her travels. Reno wished he was as brave as those to travel outside of his home town.
  449. (Reno)
  450.
  451.
  452. [14:32] Looking around the open building, he grew tired of walking this far. "This sure is one long hall way. Who designed this place?! A giant?! Not everyone has giant legs that span half a mile!"
  453.
  454. He sighs but carries on to look for wisdom that might be of some help for his journey.
  455. (Reno)
  456.
  457.
  458. [14:36] Upon closer inspection. Reno figured something out, "Wait wait wait… Is this an apartment home? I see so it is not an Inn, but someplace for people to stay without taking up so much space for giant homes. I see, I see, that explains a lot."
  459.
  460. Reno explored the building a little more, then eventually, he began making his way down the stairs. He always wondered about these sort of things, if he would be able to one day make such a masterpiece. But for now, all he could do was admire their work.
  461.
  462. "If I find myself becoming some kind of crafter, maybe I'll look into rune magic, it sounds helpful. Being a blacksmith would be a spit in my own face, yeek…."
  463. (Reno)
  464.
  465.
  466. [14:43] Being a young teen, his focus was never really on the serious matters of adulthood. Sure he gazed at a few women here and there, but what did Reno really want at this point? He could only think of wanting one thing and that was wisdom. He knew that it was not the sword but the mind that held the most influence over the world.
  467.
  468. Even though they lived on an island filled with violence. Reno wanted to contribute to what could be the wisdom of people from his time. Despite his haircut and less than noble outfit. He wanted to do more than just fight, the young teen wanted to discover and perhaps by doing so, these discoveries will lead to him becoming stronger over the course of time.
  469.
  470. For now, he would continue to explore his home town, seeing what he could find. Seeing what person could find him as well. Though right now, he was hungry and thus the explosive attitude. Reno was hangry. A dangerous combination of hungry, and angry... "You dumbass! How could you be outof both bread and steak?! That's all you sell here! But Fine! I'll take my business elsewhere! Give me back my coin!...Hmph! Expensive food was never worth it anyhow."
  471. (Reno)
  472.
  473.
  474. [14:48] Reno for the time being, continued to train and read the books right before him. He continued to read up on the history of his land, after all. It would be the wise thing to do. You can't simply invest your time into the magic of time and not look into the many events of time as a way to kill and make up for time, so for the time being. It was what he was going to do.
  475. (Reno)
  476.
  477.
  478. [14:50] Reno kept his eyes focused on each page. But because of this, he felt himself drifting away into a deep slumber. He tried to fight it, he really did, but at some points, he felt like the battle was being lost. Even now, he did not know when it could happen. But he continued reading. He wanted to try and learn as much information as he could. Maybe he could grow up to be someone capable of spreading wisdom. A walking history library.
  479. (Reno)
  480.
  481.
  482. [14:53] Looking around, seeing the many people at work. Reno thought it was time to go and look for food once more. So he did, and he went to the old shop, somewhere with cheap food, something not too expensive. He purchased a simple dish, chicken and a salad on the side, something to ease his belly and keep his eyes on the books for a while.
  483. (Reno)
  484.
  485.
  486. [14:56] Reno finished his lunch. So he would focus on the sights for a while. He left his bench and went for a stroll around town. At least for now, he could get some exercise in that was not dedicated to his training. He was after all, still learning about this town and all within it.
  487.
  488. "I wonder where people in this town go to have fun." He walked with his hands resting in his pockets. Tan and somewhat tall, he was not much of a looker, but he wondered if he would even have a chance with any of the ladies out there. "Eh, who cares... That wont make me stronger."
  489. (Reno)
  490.
  491.
  492. [15:02] Looking around, Reno saw that the civilians were enjoying themselves. He wondered how people could act so normal in a place where people were killed so often by chaos.
  493.
  494. But there it was, the fear in the face of many. He felt sad for these average people.
  495. (Reno)
  496.
  497.
  498. [15:11] * You have been awarded 4 Roleplay Points! *
  499. [16:53]
  500.
  501.
  502. [17:02] Reading his book, Reno was trying to catch up on some history as well as the lore of this town and a few others. He felt at ease knowing that he was doing more than just training his body and fist, he had to try and learn something other than the history of magic anyways.
  503.
  504. Though, from simple observation, it was clear that this was a land founded in the high mountains and protected by its natural barriers. Being the mountain itself and the beast that inhabit it. Despite being a simple human magi born. He was willing to learn the little things.
  505.
  506. After all, Reno was inspired by the average man. Those who were actually normal humans, people who hid from the magi who caused destruction. For many years, until now, that was the reality he lived. And one he respected, something he will continue to honor, the life of the average man.
  507.
  508. "I wonder who lost their boat at the bottom of that pond. There's nothing here about it, but I guess that's who the pond is named after," he laughed a bit with himself. "Guy had the worst of luck haha, what a life!"
  509. (Reno)
  510.
  511.
  512. [17:12] Sitting on the rock, meditating for what felt like hours. But in all reality was only ten minutes. Reno broke focus upon spotting his teacher Ashe. "Hey there---whoa--" He almost fell in, thinking he was on solid land trying to walk.
  513.
  514. "I was studying a while ago! I found something interesting."
  515. (Reno)
  516. [17:41] Would nudge Ashe, "Even if you run out of spells to teach me, I'll still follow you as my teach. I want to help people too you know, even if I gotta knock them upside their head."
  517.
  518. Reno joked, implying that some people needed to get beaten up a bit in order to see that not everyones against them. "And how can I be a historian and not know about the world outside this itty bitty snow town?"
  519. (Reno)
  520.
  521.
  522. [17:46] Ashe chuckled.
  523.
  524. "Sounds good! Anyone in the guild is pretty much family!" She chimed. "As for learning about the world, I know a few ways to help with that as well! I'll be going on a trip soon to Sheng, if you wanted to join I'd be willing to take you. It'll be dangerous of course though, so it's up to you!"
  525. (Ashe Lieyan)
  526.
  527.
  528. [17:47] Reno asks, "Guild?"
  529.
  530.
  531. Reno nods his head, but just like that, his sights were set on Abaddon. He points the demon knight out with a greeting. "Abaddon! Hey, I wanna ask you something! Can we fight? Like training fight, what's it called? Spar?"
  532.
  533. He walked a step closer, "I've never done it before, but now that I can actually stand a chance against those annoying Froseals, can I try it with you? I wanna see where I'm at, if I can survive the world outside this mountain on my own!"
  534.
  535. He was brimming with energy, excited to see if he could stand up against all the amazing figures before him. He was still rooted to the notion of his fist being the only weapon he'll ever need, but now he had some strategy to go along with it.
  536.
  537. "Please?" He claps his hands together and smiles.
  538. (Reno)
  539.
  540.
  541. [13:02] Abaddon Mal'phas says, "Wow."
  542. [13:05] She rose her eyes from the book momentarily at the request, looking at Reno and then at Abaddon. Staying silent through the seconds that followed, she shrugged, looking back at her book and proceeding to scandalously vandalize it, making notes of her own on top of the words written and flipping another page once she was done with that.
  543.
  544. "Well that's something."
  545. (Lyanna Augustus)
  546.
  547.
  548. [13:05] Heidi Augustus whispers something.
  549. [13:07] Lyanna Augustus whispers something.
  550. [13:07] Lyanna Augustus whispers something.
  551. [13:08] Lyanna squints.
  552. (Lyanna Augustus)
  553.
  554.
  555. [13:09] A sigh released. Why had it always been Abaddon that was requested spars by youth far younger than he? It was thought that crossed his mind, and he couldn't help but not understand the concept behind it. Did they like being beaten up?
  556.
  557. Regardless, the Demon wouldn't shy away from a battle with Reno. Ejecting from his comfortable seat besides Heidi, he would stand tall above the icy grounds, staring at Reno.
  558.
  559. "Fine. Off to the training grounds."
  560.
  561. Insisting that Reno would follow, he would move onwards west, directing them to the choice of battle.
  562. (Abaddon Mal'phas)
  563.
  564.
  565. [13:10] Reno exclaims, "Really? Man this is so, surreal! Okay!"
  566. [13:11] Abaddon Mal'phas says, "Show me what you've got."
  567. [13:13] Assuming the stance of the Iron Fist. Reno had NEVER used this against anyone who was not some mindless beast. Now, he was facing someone with a mind, someone who was known to be powerful. If he couldn't put a dent on Abaddon, then he knew that he had a few more weeks or years of training in his home town to complete before stepping foot into the wild.
  568.
  569. "Oh I will! I took your advice to heart and started hitting the books. It's only right that I measure myself through you right?"
  570.
  571. He prepared himself for a beating, one he could learn from, but nothing he would just bend over for. He wanted a fight, the young teen was getting the whole cake plus sprinkles.
  572. (Reno)
  573.
  574.
  575. [13:19] Abaddon scratched the back of his hair, lazily. Instead, two crimson hues panned across the youngling, denoting what had changed since he last met him. At once, he noticed a familiar stance adorned once by every user of such affinity.
  576.
  577. It seemed that the youth decided to put his faith into the unarmed arts after all, and apparently, a metaphysical magic too, something they had both discussed.
  578.
  579. "Mmm... So, you've learned time magic and how to box with your fists. Okay. I hear you loud and clear."
  580.
  581. His familiarity with both magics wasn't unsurprising. His Brother possessed the same element, and as for unarmed magic, Abaddon crossed with many fighters donning the same skill.
  582.
  583. "Yes, yes. I'll judge your efforts."
  584.
  585. Arcanium swung through the air, glistening in the light, accompanied by a sudden rupture in force around him.
  586.
  587. "Make your move, pal'."
  588. (Abaddon Mal'phas)
  589.
  590.
  591. [13:19] Abaddon Mal'phas says, "A little uncoordinated. But, you'll learn."
  592. [13:20] Reno says, "That was rough, but, it's life and I learned some strengths."
  593. [13:22] Abaddon Mal'phas says, "Well. A little better, considering I didn't use everything."
  594. [13:22] Abaddon Mal'phas says, "But, you're still young."
  595. [13:22] Abaddon Mal'phas says, "Time'll tell."
  596. [13:23] Reno exclaims, "I gotta find a way to move past those spells. Maybe I'll develop something for that, but thanks! I wouldn't of had this spar any other way!"
  597. [13:23] Abaddon Mal'phas says, "No problem."
  598. [13:23] Abaddon Mal'phas says, "I'll be at the plaza."
  599. [13:24] Thinking to himself, "That last one nearly knocked me unconscious! "
  600. (Reno)
  601.
  602. Though he may have lost the spar against someone who had inspired him to embrace the gifts of magic. Reno had already expected this, and so, he took this as a lesson. Leaving from the field to return to the bench where the town square was.
  603.
  604. He looked up at the mountain. "Time to go and work on my footwork some more," he said as he waved at the group of fellow book lovers. "One of these days I'll find a book that can teach me a thing or two about magi history, everyone in this town is amazing."
  605.
  606. Inspired to do more, he left the bench and made his way up the mountain. The Froseals and Fropups were in for a run with this kid. It was his only source of training for now and a rather productive one at that.
  607.
  608. "Thanks again Abaddon, at this rate, I think I'll erm. Survive for a day or two in the wild before I'm captured by something haha. But in a few days, I should be a stone cold survivor!"
  609.
  610. He was excited, but not to fight and risk his life, that was the last thing he wanted to do really. But to learn about the world, become a sort of scholar through his usage of time magic and perhaps even discover some history while he's at it. Or better, a future to predict from this journey.
  611. (Reno)
  612.
  613. Being at the top of the mountain, looking down at the Froseals before him. "Look at them, mocking me with their strength. Well, I have something that they don't got and that's Time and Precision!" The young teen was determined to learn about the world, however, he knew that this would not be possible if he could not survive out there in the world alone. He needed to be able to do things all on his own, and far from home where right now, he was nice and comfortable.
  614.
  615. "I need to get placed under pressure. I can just stay here for the remainder of my life."
  616.
  617. He focused onto his spirit, and the center of it all, was a little pocket watch he carried with him. Something he picked up from his childhood when the villagers gave him aid. "I will always remember the common man, and the history that was forged because of them. I am the one who will always the events of time. Because there is never a legend without people to spread it."
  618. (Reno)
  619.
  620.
  621. [14:08] Writing in his little journal. Reno looked at the Froseal behind him. He may have been bruised up a bit, but Reno had much in mind, it was all being done for a purpose and he did not mind any of the pain.
  622.
  623. "I'm going to see the world one day. But, I will never forget the common man. Without commoners, the same as I once was. Legends are nothing. Without commoners, a kigndom will fall. We are what make up history, we are a people to be cherished, not just the Kings, Queens and Legends. Us, and history will show it. Someday."
  624.
  625. "Someday..."
  626.
  627. He said to himself, concentrating on the time magic of his.
  628.
  629. "Someday."
  630.
  631. Reno stood up, shrouding his body in the aura that was the transcendence of time of magic.
  632.
  633. "Someday, maybe I will look into the future. And help everyone out."
  634. (Reno)
  635.
  636.
  637. [14:09] {Item} You picked up Water Crystal. Dropped by Reno. .
  638. [14:18] Now, in the middle of his morning jogging session. Reno jogs through town, hoping to gain some stamina but also. To test his true limits with Time magic. He used this magic as a way to better his unarmed combat arts. So, naturally, he would want to adapt through either speed or strength. Since his aura helped him with the strength department, he needed a way to move around and dodge heavy hitting attacks.
  639.
  640. He was not too fond of using long range attacks, that much was clear. But now, he worked on his ability to accelerate and so he did. Reno was not running to try and activate the ability, he was running for the purpose of trying to sustain it.
  641.
  642. "Three seconds, that seems to be my limit, but can I move faster for longer?" Reno was deep into the arts of time. It was the only art without many long range abilities and those long range abilities that did exist were mostly for support reasons. So because of that, Reno cherished it, and so he might even try to adopt the ways of fire later on in his life.
  643.
  644. But right now, he used this time magic to try and move through these current events as a fighting method. He loved both fighting and learning so in order to reach that step where the time aura might evolve itself. He needed to perfect the basics and maybe even the advanced abilities.
  645.
  646. He huffed. "I can move forward." He panted as he ran. "If there's any secrets in time itself, the history of our land. I will find it somehow." Huff, he was motivated not by battle but by the value of human wisdom. He just did not know where to start, or how to get there from this point. From this little town of his blown over in nothing but snow at the top of a mountain.
  647. (Reno)
  648.
  649.
  650. [14:19] Reno says, "Agh."
  651. [14:19] Reno says, "So tired."
  652. [14:21] Reno sat down, reaching into his pouch for a cup or canteen of water, gulping it down. "How am I supposed to improve to survive if I don't even know the way out of this place? How am I going to be a historian of some sort if I can't even map out the city I was raised in."
  653.
  654. He sighed.
  655.
  656. "Though to be fair. Most of my life was spent as a commoner avoiding magic in order to survive."
  657. (Reno)
  658.
  659.
  660. [14:22] Now, Reno turned his attention to the library, "If I go there, maybe I will pick up on something new. Yeah, that will help me get out of this place with some wisdom instead of being so.... Dumb towards everything."
  661.
  662. The teen got his gear and made way towards the collection of books that was within the only tower in this mountain town.
  663. (Reno)
  664.
  665.
  666. [14:23] Now, Reno turned his attention to the library, "If I go there, maybe I will pick up on something new. Yeah, that will help me get out of this place with some wisdom instead of being so.... Dumb towards everything."
  667.
  668. The teen got his gear and made way towards the collection of books that was within the only tower in this mountain town.
  669. (Reno)
  670.
  671.
  672. [14:23] Making his way into the library, Reno came across the shops and the books he was planning to read. Though he couldn't help but be a little bit distracted by all the cool paintings and the workers that surrounded him. He was curious, about many forms of magic, but his teacher only knew fire and that was what he planned to learn. But he wanted to know the history behind it and what it is truly.
  673. (Reno)
  674.
  675.
  676. [14:24] Reno says, "Hm."
  677. [14:26] Reno stood there in the library looking for information to absorb into his brain. He read up on many forms of magic, now he was trying to read up on the history of his home and many others. He wanted to find a map as well, he wanted to know what the demons really were and most of all. He wanted to know what it was that governed this world, what power drove all life and what pieces of history can he carry along with him on his life long journey.
  678. (Reno)
  679.
  680. Rubbing the back of his head. He looks to Ashe confused.
  681.
  682. "I understand, but, I'm still so confused. You're not a bad person."
  683.
  684. He thought of something that would possibly take Ashe's mind off the travel ban. "Heya teach, how about a little battle, one on one huh? I am learning my ways with magic and would be honored if you were to see my growth in person."
  685.
  686. Holding both his fist out, wrapped in bandages and awaiting a response. A double fist bump maybe.
  687. (Reno)
  688.
  689.
  690. [15:39] "You're right, I'm not a bad person. Some people think otherwise though."
  691.
  692. She took out a cigarette and lit it with a flick of her fingers, taking a small drag and then exhaling it.
  693.
  694. "Sure, I'll spar yah!"
  695. (Ashe Lieyan)
  696.
  697.
  698. [15:39] Reno exclaims, "That's the spirit teach!"
  699. [15:43] Taking his teachings to another level. Young Reno stood away from his teacher, getting into the stance of the Iron Fist. "I always take what you have to say to heart you know. Even if I won't perfect fire, I will use the wisdom you teach me as a way to help people."
  700.
  701. He then triggers the aura of time, he does this by taking out his pocket watch and clicking it three times. "This is how I will do it, a spirit of the Eternal Flames." He speaks as if he already perfected his art when really, it was him, presenting to her, his goals.
  702.
  703. "Alright teach. You ready?" Though he forbids himself from using strong offensive magics that were used at a distance. He had to learn and find ways around such, to make the magic in his fist three times as effective.
  704. (Reno)
  705.
  706.
  707. [15:47] Ashe couldn't help but to smile at Reno's bravado, taking a long, drawn out drag of her joint and flicking it off the side of the mountain.
  708.
  709. "Do your best!"
  710.
  711. A hand went to her hilt, waiting patiently, the blade still sheathed.
  712.
  713. "I'll take it easy on you.~"
  714. (Ashe Lieyan)
  715.
  716.
  717. [15:48] Lyanna Augustus says, "That'd be nice. I don't have one."
  718. [15:48] Reno exclaims, "That burned a lot!"
  719. [15:50] Picking himself up off the ground. Reno stared at his teacher after brushing off the flames that crept up on his pants. It was a defeat he would take many notes from.
  720.
  721. "Fire, it really is a menace to close combat fighting isn't it? If I fought more like an Advanced Time Aura, maybe I would be able to get around it. That's right, I see what you're doing teach. Keep putting the pressure on me!"
  722.
  723. He stood ready for round two, though his arsenal wasn't much, it was what he had and all he was proud of.
  724. (Reno)
  725.
  726.
  727. [15:53] Ashe sighed. Perhaps she wasn't holding back enough...
  728.
  729. "Let's do that again, and I'll try to be nicer."
  730.
  731. She scratched at the back of her head.
  732.
  733. "If you want that is."
  734. (Ashe Lieyan)
  735.
  736.
  737. [15:56] On his knees and panting from those superficial injuries. He looked up at Ashe with a determined appearance.
  738.
  739. "Again? Of course! The more I study fighting hands on, the better I'll get! Even if I'm losing, I'm finding ways around the heat, and even more... I'm learning to adopt the benefits of flame through your strikes."
  740.
  741. Reno stood ready, his hands held up as a guard, and his feet mobile for his swift movements.
  742. (Reno)
  743.
  744.
  745. [15:59] Reno took off his jacket, "I see it there, an opening!" He was learning to block the flames. If his fist were his true weapon, he'd have to close the distance and this was the PERFECT example as to why he needed to be fast.
  746.
  747. "Those flames surround her and the field. If I touch them, I catch fire, and if I avoid them, I give her time to evade my strikes. There's a middle man and I will eliminate him."
  748.
  749.
  750. (Reno)
  751.
  752.
  753. [15:59] Ashe Lieyan says, "put your shirt back on"
  754. [16:00] Abaddon Mal'phas says, "Keep out of trouble."
  755. [16:04] Ashe figured the best way to go easy was to just release her aura limits and run from him. It may have been seen as rude, but it was good practice? Maybe. Fire spiraled out from her and her steps, fire trailing around and behind in her path without much effort from the girl. She'd slide around and dodge his various strikes, her aura alone burning him and eventually causing him to stop.
  756.
  757. Her aura faded and she sighed.
  758.
  759. "Good practice, eh?"
  760. (Ashe Lieyan)
  761.
  762.
  763. [16:08] His breaths, each one got heavier. The running he did around town paid off, but nothing could have prepared him for breathing in the heat that emitted from Ashe's form. "Such a strong aura, fire, it truly is amazing." He may have had time on his side for now, but Ashe had flames that burned beyond his foresight.
  764.
  765. Even if he tried to predict her next move, it was as if her flames were the only future he could see. But, this made him proud to know someone like her. "On day I'll be as strong as you. And capable of traveling out there in the deep forest."
  766.
  767. He smiles, "We'll do this again right? When you want to test me again?"
  768. (Reno)
  769.
  770.
  771. [16:08] Reno grabbed his jacket, tossing it back on.
  772. (Reno)
  773.
  774.
  775.
  776.
  777. Looking back, he saw that Abaddon had left, and now, looking down at the shadow of his. He saw that time was fading away, "I should get going. I've been meaning to study and I keep getting distracted. But it was fun talking to you Dakota! Be safe man!"
  778.
  779. For now, Reno went into the tower to be on his own. He needed to conduct some research on the unarmed arts, if there was another way to improve his abilities. He kept true to his word, but after sparring a few times, he came to realize how truly difficult a life without weapons or long ranged magic could be.
  780.
  781.
  782. (Reno)
  783.
  784.
  785. [18:16] Now within the library, Reno took the time to meditate. He needed a moment to himself to breathe and collect his thoughts. See he was no brute, he was precise with his actions and thus, the need to study.
  786.
  787. "I really wonder, if there is another way to fight the magi, if I could just do something else with my fist and my body. I tried running faster, even utilizing time to boost my own speed and strength, but..."
  788.
  789. He took a moment to think on it. "There has to be another way. Maybe its true, I need another teacher for this sort of thing... But I don't want to leave Ashe. She's still has so much to teach and show me."
  790.
  791. He closed his eyes.
  792.
  793. "What if I were self taught in these arts? Then maybe, in the future, I can teach those younger than me right? But where would I start?" He thought about his ability to accelerate. "That's a start, but, to use it in a fight? Or maybe even, as a fighting style? No, none of this will work... I need guidance..." He felt so narrow minded, he couldn't think it through.
  794. (Reno)
  795.
  796.
  797. [18:19] Looking at the shelves, young Reno searched for the books on unarmed combat. His eyes were focused on the talents of the arts. That was until he came across something within the lore of this world. Uncertain about the name, he grew interested in such.
  798.
  799. It was the art of the unarmed, but something not so known. "The art of shadows? Advanced Time Auras Fist?" Curious he was, all he found was a name, and the pictures of movement below. "One moves as an Advanced Time Aura would I guess? Keeping to the shadows and---Wait, what's this?" He saw an aspect of his own fighting style....
  800.
  801. "Speed? Speed is vital for this particular art? I can work with that, but... Theres literally nothing else here that explains the stance! Agh, I can't learn a thing from these books... But, it gives me direction, and maybe, just maybe, that'll be all that I need... Right?"
  802. (Reno)
