  1. Letter from Hub: Lord Rellanthas apologizes for not being able to prevent or at least influence the upcoming Tribunal. He states that his hands are tied by politics at home and that his rivals are already accusing him of favoritism. He confirms that one Guildmaster Gilleam will be Hub's representative at the Tribunal, and urges the Young Council to be cautious in dealing with him as he comes from a rival faction.
  2.
  3. Letter from Pike's Creek: Confirming that one Councilor Tessalar Bristleweed will be accompanying the Tribunal to ensure fairness and accuracy. This letter strongly, but respectfully, advises the Young Council to cooperate and let things take their course. The wording is strictly, deliberately neutral.
  4.
  5. Letter from Fernie: This letter is double-sided. On one side of the parchment, a worried Speaker Hargonias Strump (not the town's founder, of course, but a descendant) asks for details of the Horned King's threatened invasion and all but outright accuses Felt's Stand of collusion. On the other side is a cheerful, ebullient note from his daughter (and Nienna's childhood friend) Bryophella Strump addressed personally to the Carnes'ir Councilor. She promises to visit soon, in a way that gives no definite time of arrival, and asks how the town is doing, echoes her father's sentiments, and explains how brave little Fernie has tightened its defenses in preparation for an invasion, resulting in hometown patriotism rising to an all-time high.
  6.
  7. Letter from Felt's Stand: Another surprisingly civil letter. This one doesn't come directly from Lord Wormwood, but from one of his secretaries. It emphasizes their commitment to stand by what Lord Wormwood already stated in his previous letters, confirms that two of their own will be accompanying the Tribunal to ensure accuracy and fairness, and insists that an invasion from the Hunter's Realm would be a threat to all of the Free Towns. The writer assures the Council that Felt's Stand is taking this affair absolutely seriously, and that their emissaries will be elves of importance.
  8.
  9. Letter from Farls: Another double-sided letter. On one side is a warm, touching story from Speaker Meredreis Ruathe. It begins with heartfelt thanks from the Speaker to the Bluebell Council for spreading the word of what happened. She declares that the Council of Farls has expanded and improved the militia in preparation to aid their northern allies against foreign aggression. The wording leaves no doubt that she doesn't believe Bluebell has designs on her town, and is borderline defiant of anyone suggesting otherwise. She also reports news of a decided economic upturn, thanks to increased financial connections with Bluebell, the Carnes'ir mines, and the Haida trading corporation. On the other side is a short, terse note from Councilor Dalemarik Ruathe addressed directly to Councilor Idir Haida. "Why should I go along with your designs when Whitton has done nothing to me and is willing to pay a high price for my flour? You may be able to count on my daughter's support, but she is centuries away from being Speaker and until then her word is not law where it concerns Ruathe property." Is all it says.
  10.
  11. Letter from Birchbark: This 'letter' is another piece of silvery bark carved with a short sentence and an illustration. "YEW BELLEAVED - MALCAR" says the text. The picture is of Lestari, drawn as if from description...a lot of key details are off, but she has her skull mask and toothed sword, and Councilor Malcar of Birchbark. Both are leaping into the air off a pile of corpses to clash weapons in comradely fashion.
  12.
  13. Letter from Whitton: This letter is not from Councilor Woadstull, but then, most of the letters from Whitton have been written by their Council as a whole. It lacks some of his venom and carefully avoids acknowledging anything Idir said in his last letter, passive-aggressively agreeing that maybe the Mellouk family would be less than neutral mediators if Idir has a problem with it (worded in a slimy, condescending way) and suggesting an alternative from the royal family of one of the Southern Cantrevs.
  14.
  15. Unmarked Letter: This letter is written on a plain scroll and wrapped in a cord of red velvet. Unlike the rest, this one is addressed solely to Councilor Idir Haida. PM for contents.
  16.
  17. Second Letter from Felt's Stand: This one is addressed purely to Sir Gannaed Turlew, but he's happy to share it over a few drinks at Mara's Inn, even a tad smug about it. While the Council was busy with Shroomy, he took a week or so off from training the militia and went to Felt's Stand to participate in a tourney, apparently coming in first. The letter is from Felt's Stand's Master-at-Arms, congratulating him on his victory and inviting him to come back to Felt's Stand whenever he wishes to teach their local cavalry about the finer points of jousting. The handwriting is rough, but the letter written with meticulous care, a demonstration of the respect Avalon can command even this far south and west of the Skytooth mountain range.
