- I had written a lengthy reply and then my computer froze and I lost it.
- I didn't really have much to add though. The only thing I can say is if you find a story that has a solid connection, to just focus on that. One connection should be enough. The more you strive to make a loose connection, the more likely your entire argument will be rejected (whether you're right about any/all the connections or not).
- If you're making a connection that even you think is a stretch, what chance does a "normal" person have of believing it? And if a loose connection does "flip" someone into being a conspiracy theorist, it seems like they'd miss out on the lie system completely and just get trapped into thinking everything is a hoax, or suspicious.
