Perceval served God thus for ten whole years, and in all that time he ate and drank nothing but what God sent him in the holy grail, which he saw and which served him night and day. It stayed with him constantly, day and night, which was certainly no
trouble but a source of delight. He lived there for a long while in prayer and humble worship, singing psalms, fasting and keeping vigil.
