  1. This is going to be a long post...
  2. This post is the current guideline for the Minecraft server, if you want to suggest something, I invite you to.
  3.
  4. The server will be a survival server. Area will be split up in 2 basic sections, pvp and non-pvp areas. Non-pvp areas are cities, spawn area, democratic house. Pvp areas are everything else.
  5. Everyone starts with a starter kit and must build their house (or mine) in the pvp area. We will provide new players weapons so people don't troll and just go around wrecking new players. Pvp area is FREE space meaning that one person's house can occupy as much area as that person wishes but that person must also protect their large area. After certain requirements are met (such as obtain 20 foundation blocks, or iron blocks) people will be able to use those to build a house in the first city which is a non-pvp area. They will get a 5x5 or 6x6 plot (we haven't decided what size to give them). Keep in mind, this server is meant to host a lot of people. 5x5 plots are small enough to fit a large number of people in 1 area. Their 5x5 plot allows them to go as low as they want or build as high as they want, they just can't build or dig outside of their plots. After users meet certain requirements (maybe like 24 blocks of gold) users will be able to move to the second city where they will get a bigger plot to work with. This helps if users have mined out their entire plots.
  6. Users, after moving, have the ability to sell their plots to other players. Keep in mind, the plot might have been gutted to the point where the value is just having a space in the city.
  7. The same process goes with city 2 except they can only sell  their plots back to an admin or co-owner (so people can't skip ahead to the second city right off the bat). Once people move to the third city, or, 'secluded area' they will be allowed to have a much bigger plot. This city is also where the democratic house will be as well as the admin headquarters, meaning us admins will usually be very close to the nicer houses if they're being griefed and such.
  8.
  9. The democratic process:
  10. After a certain amount of users are playing on a server, players will meet up (when called upon) at the democratic house where votes will be held. Co-owners always have veto power. Though, at a certain point, we're going to let the players govern themselves and vote on certain rules themselves (while being watched by a mod, admin or co-owner to bud in if necessary).
  11. Punishment for infractions will almost always result in the offender being banished to the nether with a suevival kit (a few iron swords, shovels, pickaxes and food). The offenders must either find the gate out of the nether, provide an apology to the victim(s) or wait for a set time depending on the infraction.
  12. Offenders will be stripped of all items in their inventory and the items will be given to the victim. If there is no victim in the infracture (let's say someone was caught pouring lava around a city) then the items go to a lottery box where users can buy tickets to try and win the items in the box.
