Bio: The son of farmers from a small town in the Confederacy, Daniel Ragan signed up for the military the moment he was eligible, seeking a more exciting life than the one he left behind.  He frequently writes home, however, and wears a scarf his mother knitted to remind him of home.  His upbringing on a farm has rendered him stronger and faster than the rest of his fellow recruits, and Daniel distinguished himself early with his valour and courage in the heat of combat.  Off the battlefield Daniel is self-conscious of his upbringing and tends to be calm, quiet and serious.
