Cause you could have a thing of "once a leyline moves (which would take a LONG ass time" and leave a fairy settlement, then and only then will they be truely born unto themselves and become their own person

Lying within a different plane
A sort of, Antiworld I suppose
And how it gets it's energy, how it subsists
It releasing energy into our world
But, for it to keep it's connection strong, allowing it to release energy, certian rituals need to be performed
Which is where the fairys come in
They're created out of a nearby common material
And set to work
A single element is analysed, then a creature is made from it
Due to purity, and other statures, faries from different ley lines will vary

Making them less suitable for a worker
And the fact that finding those elements pure in nature is a bit hard
